Oh no Jam, poor Archie. Both of mine had chicken pox, Ruby exactly two weeks to the day after Charlie. They were both very lucky though. Not many spots and they weren't actuall that ill with it. It was just the itching that drove them mad. Has he been in contact with it recently?

largeginandtonic · 23/05/2010 22:08

Thanks ladies

Ooh the cp Jammy I hate it. Mine were all 2 weeks apart to the day too. He might be ok by the weekend but then L may be highly contagious! Nightmare.

Abby just stock the fridge with a wine box

Tills how was the hol? Good i hope.

Nice names. Will be running them past dh.

I like the tree idea

Billie?

We are almost weekending too here, dh is away so often. I think it'll only get worse, on the flip side it means he is being successful. Good job as the school fees seem to keep going up and up and two of them at the 'big' school from Sept....

Tills, you sound oh so perky. It must have been a lovely holiday.

But poor Jammy and A, just before his birthday too, what rotten luck.

I'm starting to get excited about coming back to blighty in six weeks time. I can't stop thinking of all the lovely shopping things to do.

JamInMyWellies · 24/05/2010 12:39

Have we a meet up planned yet for when you are over TMAM? Where is AM. Surely a visit to meadow towers is in order or you are more than welcome to all attend our wedding party as people are dropping like flies at this rate there will only be 20 of us!

Themasterandmargaritas · 24/05/2010 13:01

Oooo a meet up, yes.

at your wedding party, after all the fuss that was made too.

We shall have our own MN Jammy wedding party for you.

Brief two days in blighty before going to France, back from France 23rd July. I have to do familial obligations weekend of 1st and will be in lunnon town 3-6th before flying out. So could do anytime w/c 23rd? It will then have to be a weekday....

AprilMeadow · 24/05/2010 14:35

Meet up...... did someone say meet up....?

Just spoken (yes on the phone) to TMAM and can do a meet up at Meadow Towers during the week of the 26th July. Anyday, Monday 26th - Friday 30th.

Let me know who is free and wants to come down for bbq/cake/gossip catchup

Assume that most schools will break up on the 23rd..

Themasterandmargaritas · 24/05/2010 14:50

April, as ever, your generosity knows no bounds.

JamInMyWellies · 24/05/2010 15:05

Ooh exciting! Pretty sur ewe have nothing planned that wk.

Pebblemum · 24/05/2010 22:58

LG&T the tree is a lovely idea. Before I had J I had a m/c and the only thing I had to remember her/him by was a stuffed cow we had bought the same day i found out i was expecting. We didnt know the sex either so settled on the name Ashleigh.

Jam hope the spots arent too troublesome for A. Out of all mine its only J that has ever had cp, despite my best efforts to expose the others to it while they are young

We had a lovely weekend. On Saturday we had our old neighbours round to celebrate Alana's birthday. She had a brilliant day, cant believe she is 3 already. Then on Sunday we had both sides of the family over for a BBQ to celebrate J becoming a teenager (boy do i feel old now lol) It was a great success, everyone had a lovely time, the food was perfect, as was the weather. Its so nice to be able to entertain without all being cramped in one room There were 20 of us in the garden yesterday but where its so big there was plenty of room for the kids to play, the pool was up, there were toys out and yet there was more than enough free space for us adults.

I know have a busy week trying to get organised for when we go away Saturday. Alana is so excited about seeing Mickey and Minnie she keeps telling everyone that she is going to 'kiss and cuddle' them when she gets there.

largeginandtonic · 25/05/2010 08:32

Yay a meet up!

Dh and kids off. Will look at calendar. And text SOH

Tillyscoutsmum · 25/05/2010 08:39

Oooh a meet up. Hopefully I'll be able to make this one and meet you all at last. Diary looks free at the moment (story of my life !), just need to plan the logistics.

How are you feeling today Gin ?

SKYTVADDICT · 25/05/2010 10:52

How exciting another meet up - not sure if we can make it but will have to let you know nearer the time, I am sure I could make it there and back in a day!

The tree is a lovely idea LG&T. I have a little silver "October" Angel which was the month the baby I miscarried would have been due. I come across it in my jewellery box and smile sometimes, nobody knew this until now! If I had had that baby we wouldn't have Callum now x

Tillyscoutsmum · 26/05/2010 09:01

How's everyone today ?

I think I may have done my last ever bf . I've been struggling to keep up with Ferg The Tank for a while (probably since birth !) and he's been having a bottle in the evening for a few weeks. He then got a nasty cold and chest infection and wouldn't feed from me at all but would take a bottle and even though he's pretty much over his cold, he still much prefers the bottle.

I've only stopped a couple of weeks ahead of when I wanted (6 months) but I still feel a bit sad because I know he is my last so I'll never do it again

Anyway - next stop - weaning. I'm thinking of trying BLW. Any of you done it ? It appeals to the lazy arse in me but the control freak in me disagrees

Themasterandmargaritas · 26/05/2010 11:47

Awwww Tils, that is sad. I am planning to come back to the UK without THE BUGGY. I feel sad about that, it's been 9 years since I have been buggyless. Dh suggested we sell it, but I just can't let it go...

I did BLW with J because I am a lazy arse and couldn't be bothered with pureeing for him whilst I cooked for the other two. It was fantastic, I'm sure he eats well as a result. I highly recommend it, just get a good floor mat. Or a dog.

largeginandtonic · 26/05/2010 12:22

Monday or Tuesday best for me that week? Am all excited. SOH in too.

Awww it must be Tills. You have done blardy well to keep up with the boy though. I did a bit of both with Buebell. She held her fishfinger i spooned her yogurt

She screams if we so much as look at her spoon now. No one is allowed to help her.

No buggy >

Tis Beau's birthday today! He made it.

Themasterandmargaritas · 26/05/2010 12:33

HAppy Birthday to Beau! May you survive many more to come.

Monday or Tuesday that week is fine with us. I'm getting very excited now.

Tillyscoutsmum · 26/05/2010 12:34

Happy Birthday to Beau x Tilly is a proper threenager since her birthday. She's got such attitude

I am free all that week. Do you normally meet up in the morning or afternoon ? I may book in somewhere either the night before or the night after depending on when you meet. Not sure I can face a 6 hour round trip in one day with Dora the Explorer on constant play on the DVD

JamInMyWellies · 26/05/2010 14:50

Happy Birthday Beau.

AprilMeadow · 26/05/2010 17:01

Happy birthday Beau xx

Meet up is normally about 12ish, gives everyone time to get here. Open house really.

Tilly, there are lots of Travel Lodges/Premier Inns nearby.

Pink says she might come down just with Lexie

JamInMyWellies · 26/05/2010 17:25

Just with Lexie no no no if there are babies to be squished and sniffed I need them all in full attendance!

God I am soo bored and in danger of eating the cupboards empty. Poor old Archie is in a terrible mess. It's in his mouth, ears everywhere with some several nasty looking ones on his bum. Please god either let Shmoks get it now or in a yrs time.

Tilly I know exactly how you feel with the feeding. Shmoks kind of did a similar thing as soon as I introduced a bottle when he was awake he went right off my boob.

I did a combo of BLW with both of mine. Although Lachlan was a bit of a food demon and so he was into purees way more than Archie was. TBH I dont think it really dictates what they will and wont eat as they get older as A used to eat everything you gave him then suddenly decided a yr ago nothing other than a very limited and boring diet was going to pass his lips. Am hoping at some point he will just suddenly start eating properly again. Lachlan is still a monster at eating.

Themasterandmargaritas · 26/05/2010 17:33

Yes yes yes we need the babies, I couldn't bear it if there were none of the babies.

Poor wee Parch.

Tillyscoutsmum · 26/05/2010 17:38

I'll have my baby...... I may leave him there

Poor Archie Hope it starts to clear up soon. You need chocolate Jammy

AbbyLou · 26/05/2010 20:12

Oooh, a meet-up!! I wonder whether I'll actually be able to make it this time? I'd love to meet you all at last. Diary looks free at the mo but dh is away so would need to check. I'm not sure how long it will take from here, may have to join you TSM in staying somewhere.
Happy Birthday Beau, hope you've had a lovely day.
Jam sorry to hear Archie's so bad with cp. My two were really lucky, they hardly had any spots at all. Hope he's feeling better soon.
TSM i did BLW with Ruby. She wouldn't go near purees or anything soft or runny. It worked really well for her, and me as I was preparing food for Charlie anyway.

AprilMeadow · 27/05/2010 08:46

Ok, so we are looking at either the 26/27th July (Phin's birthday is it not?)

You ALL need to come along Meggle is even being drafted in by LG&T

largeginandtonic · 27/05/2010 16:16

Will ask the girl if she has any objections to it being on her Birthday.

She loves attention so i doubt it very much!

Jammy how are the pox today?

Have just baked a princess Dora cake for the little girl next door. It is so pink and flowery it's almost obscene.

AND wher is the fecking sun. I have just purchased a black maxi dress fron Johnnie and some ice lolly molds. Farcking typical.

Everone must come to the meet. It is compulsory btw.
