Gin - I have no idea how you cope. I am absolutely on my knees with two. You are truly a superwoman. Hope it passes for you all soon

Pebble - really hope the housing officer sorts you out

I really need a haircut (and just generally a bit of time out). A massage would be fab as well. My back is in bits after lugging my chunk around all day. He's definitely over the worst now - much calmer when he is awake but still 2 hourly feeding (at best) day and night. Tils is acting up, desperate for my attention. I reckon for at least 80% of yesterday, one of the three of us was in tears - usually at the same time. Its all good fun

Pebblemum · 03/02/2010 13:07

Tills i really feel for you. D was quite a demanding feeder and unfortunately the other LO's do feel a bit left out, they are too young to understand why mummy is spending more time with the baby than them. It will pass, eventually, although A still has moments when she acts up if D is getting more attention. Glad F is much calmer now for you.

Well to my amazement the housing officer turned up, almost an hour early . The surveyor wasnt with him though, apparantly he wasn't in the office today After me rushing around making sure everywhere was tidy (well as tidy as is possible in such a small space lol) he only went in my bedroom and the living room. As soon as he walked in he noticed the damp and admitted that the whole block has a really severe problem, with my flat being the worst out of the 4. He said that the dampalone is reason for us to move but to make sure we are not just put somewhere temp until its sorted he is going to really concentrate on the overcrowding issue. He's taken notes of who sleeps where etc and a few pics of the damp. He is supposed to be going back to the office to speak to his big boss and will let us now whats happening at 3.30. He agrees something has to be done asap. There is a woman down the road with a 3bed house but theres a dinign room that could be used as an extra bedroom, she wants a 2bed. At the moment she spends quite a few nights at her daughters so he wants to see if she would be willing to do an exchange but stay with her daughter for a week or two while the council sort out the damp. I cant see her wanting to do that to be homest but if she does agree then we could be moving as soon as next week Wont hold my breath though, I wouldnt want to swap a lovely clean damp free house for this dump.

SKYTVADDICT · 03/02/2010 14:30

Good luck Pebble. Fingers crossed for you.

Hope everyone is getting better LG&T and that you don't get it!!

All ok here, just looking for mindees now.

No further on the wedding plans either - I have a feeling we may be postponing it as DPs mum has been taken into a care home (only temporarily for now) and they may have to get a stair lift at home so DP doesn't now want to ask his dad to loan us the money to get married!

We haven't had notification of swine flu jabs yet so I rang Drs last week to be told they didn't have any clinics at mo and to ring back this week!

Pebblemum · 03/02/2010 14:38

Thanks Sky.

A and D were offered the swine flu jabs at the beginning of January but dh and I decided against it. All my friends have had their kiddies done, it was just our own personal decision not to. If you get yours done, let them have it on a Friday as most of my friends LO's have had a couple of ratty nights after being given it and at least at the weekend you dont have to worry about getting up for school lol

AprilMeadow · 03/02/2010 21:16

Fingers crossed for some good news then Pebble on the housing front.

For those of you not sure whether to do the SF jab, i thought i would report that Ella hasnt been any different to normal - which to be honest i am relieved about. Jack is having his on Saturday so we will have to keep our fingers crossed that he too is ok.

Pebblemum · 03/02/2010 22:10

Well I spoke to my housing officer and he has passed our details onto a lady who is able to get us out quicker than him, we have been put to the top of the list and as soon as a property becomes available we will be notified but if we dont like it for whatever reason we cna turn it down without it affecting our status. He said I could get a call tomorrow, Friday or next week depending on what they have, of course it also means it could take another month but im being optimistic He also spoke to the lady about the exchange and she is thinking about it, she doesnt mind having to delay moving in so they can sort everything out in here so that option hasnt been ruled out for us either. Im feeling a lot more positive about it all, at the same time though I cant imagine moving. Of course I need to and would love somewhere bigger but I have been here for 10yrs. This was my first proper home (since having J), Ive got a lot of memories here and great neighbours that I will miss so im feeling quite sad too

Stupid isnt it, getting sentimental over a building lol. Even E got a bit teary tonight when he asked if we were moving but he is excited about sharing a room with D though. He's already decided that the walls will be light blue and on his side he wants Transformers and on D's theres going to be Thomas Of course A wants everything in her room to be pink and Disney Princess, she has even started telling everyone she is a princess

largeginandtonic · 04/02/2010 07:20

Hope it works out Pebble. Sounds very positive.

Tills it will get easier i promise Just keep plodding on and do enough to keep your head above water. Poor you chick.

Getting your hair done will make you feel tons better.

Sky hope you get some mindees soon. A few of them and you could have the money in no time. Good luck.

Dh has the bug now, he is home today. I am FED up.

Still i went shopping yesterday! Coffee in Sainsbo's and a trip round M&S, spent too much but it was FAB!

hello everyone...

Peb, good luck with the housing.

Lg&t poor you... wishing you all bonne santé vibes...

AM, hope J is ok tomorrow with his jab

Tils.... it will get better sweets, keep going. xx

THANK YOU so much to those who have supported Amelia, you are truly amazing ladies. Hopefully they can fill her time with fantastic experiences and create some wonderful memories for Mummy & Daddy to hold onto forever. but we have to smile for her...

Holiday started for us today..... cupboard key at the ready See you all on the other side, if I make it through the 2 weeks... aghhh

Tillyscoutsmum · 05/02/2010 16:58

MrsJB - "enjoy" the hols . I've just made a small donation (sorry for the delay have been meaning to for ages ). I hope they get to make lots of beautiful memories

Gin - are you bug free yet ? Very of your shopping. I think I need to throw all of my clothes out and start again. I have got soooo many clothes but still struggle to find an outfit every day.

We're all full of cold here - its miserable. Had my post natal check today and GP is worried about PND. I don't think I'm depressed, just exhausted. She wants me to have a whole night off and get someone else (??) to look after F and give him formula. She reckons it won't make any difference to my supply. She also thinks I am overfeeding him and need to try and eek him out to 3 hourly feeds. I fear she's right but its easier said than done. She's also prescribed more anti-b's but I'm reluctant to give them because of the bloody thrush. Don't know what to do (thread in children's health if anyone is bored enough). Poor boy has had more drugs in his 7 weeks than Tils has ever had

Pebble - sounds promising. Hope you get sorted soon.

AM - hope jab goes ok tomorrow

AprilMeadow · 05/02/2010 20:11

Oooh the special holiday time - wonder how many hours of use the 'holiday cupboard' will get....? I have made sure that J is completely busy all of half term week

LG&T, how goes the the house of bug?

Tills, you poor thing, you really are having a time of it I hope things start changing for the better soon xxx

Fingers crossed on the house front Pebble..

Hi all, just pinching DH laptop whilst at CP to mark spot. Hope all well, will catch up next week.

Pebblemum · 07/02/2010 09:04

Morning all, what has happened, I remember when our threads were one of the most chattiest on MN

I hope everyone is on the mend LG&T.

Tills, I expect the dr is right, you could do with a night off but unfortunately it isn't as easy as some people think. You probably wouldnt be able to relax as you would be worrying about F all night. Us mum's dont have an off switch, we cant forget about the LO's regardless of how knackered we are. I hope you do manage to sort something out though.

CM hope you are having a great time at Centre Parcs, I keep telling DH we should go back, last time we went E was 2

Well my kitchen is packed, well everything except the everyday things like plates, food etc. Havent got a house yet but we have decided to start packing the non essentials so that there isnt a mad rush when we finally do get one. My MIL has offered us the use of one of her spare rooms to store everything, dont think she realises what she has let herself in for So far, from the kitchen alone there are 2 huge boxes and 3 smaller ones, mainly made up of all those silly gadgets men buy on a whim that cost the earth but you hardly use. I have also cleared out some clothes. I always knew Alana was spoilt when it came to clothes but Im embarassed by how much, I have 2 black bags which is going to a friends little girl (most of it has only been worn once )there are 3 bags to go to the CF charity and numerous bags for the dump. She still has too many Im being ruthless with my clothes too, its about time I admitted that Im never going to fit in some of them again and if a miracle does happen and I do slim right down then I would probably want to buy a whole new wardrobe anyway. Today we tackle my bedroom.

I have double booked myself for 1.30pm tomorrow . D is due to have his 1yr check and J has an appointment with the physiotherapist/podiatry team aaarrggghhh!!
Dh has said he will take D but im still annoyed that I didnt realise they were both at the same time.

largeginandtonic · 08/02/2010 06:50

Tills good luck with the rest. We all know like Pebble said it just doesn't happen...

Pebble very organised of you I am secretary to dd1 with all her appointments. I could use a spreadsheet tbh

Dunno why i'm Dh duty tonight and as of yest eve dd2 is pooing up to her neck AGAIN. 1 day of normal poo. I am so fed up.

Ds3 will be home with sore throat today, coughing and spluttering. I HATE illness.

Moijaimelacountry · 08/02/2010 10:39

A slightly mad idea for easter Sunday.... you don't even need to be in France, please invite all your friends too.

Amelia's Duck race

Pebblemum · 08/02/2010 11:14

My MIL has spreadsheets for everything tesco clubcardpoints, banking, etc. She is so organised. I keep thinking I should copy her but never seem to get round to doing it. Maybe I will once we get settled in our new house, when every we get it lol.

Ive woken up this morning with a lump on the left side of my neck, a funny throat, not sore just feels odd, and a bad back. Ive now got a headache coming on too. Think Im falling apart. All I want to do is go back to bed but unfortunately Dh is in there watching films on his laptop and the 2dcs wont even let me sit down for 2secs let alone have a nap.

Dh has really pissed me off today, all he keeps doing in calling me and when I go see what he wants its for stupid things. We were supposed to finish packing the bedroom, ran out of boxes yesterday lol, but he is too lazy to get his arse out of bed. I know that tomorrow he will be moaning that its not done. He left me to do it on my own yesterday, I dont mind that, get more done usually but he also left me with A and D while he took E. Of course the LO's kept coming into the room and wanting attention so I only got halfway through what I wanted. He then came home in time for tea and moaned I wasnt finished. Now Ive started I really want to get on with it, minus the kids, but thats not going to happen and its really bugging me.

I have a tantruming 1yr old, just to make my headache worse. He dissappeared into the boys room and came out pushing E's skateboard. He then looked at me, stood up and tried to get on. I of course have taken it off of him so he is now shouting at me and banging the floor with his fists Its quite funny to watch

AprilMeadow · 08/02/2010 11:26

Why is he in bed? Is he ill? If he is just being lazy then i would just pack your stuff & the dc's and let him sort his own..

LG&T sorry to see the evil poo has returned Hope its just a short visit this time.

Got so much to do and no motivation to do it! We just completed the sale of the first official sunshine.co.uk office this morning - woo hoo. We have lots to do to the internal parts of the office and hope to move in before the end of April as thats when we need to move out of Regus.

Been quite stressy at the moment (you might have noticed on FB that i had a crappy day last week) but cant really go into too much detail on here as i know the girl who was spying on me is still popping in from time to time and dont want her to get wind of what is going on. Will all come good in the end though

Lucy is trying to sit up now! You can see her tightening her tummy muscles to try and do it - eek

Ella is a squealing banshee when she doesnt get her own way and that is quite annoying... oh and she has picked up a few annoying habits from Jack which is equally delightful!

Off to CenterParcs this weekend with dh and the kiddies plus some friends. It's weird to think that this time last year we had thick snow and i was at the Sherwood Forest CP with Pink, TYG & Charley!

largeginandtonic · 08/02/2010 12:16

Get him up Pebble. Or at least go in the bedroom with dc in tow and start packing and sorting around him.

April what's going on... Lucy can't be sitting up! Lie her down again, firmly

I need a squidge. Has been ages.

Am off to stay with SOH next week. Dh and i going up on Sunday. Wahoo! I get a Tilda hug.

Bluebell still pooing. It is like jelly pond scum now. Bah.

Pebblemum · 08/02/2010 14:59

Dh is just being lazy. He moaned because he had to get up to take d and J for their appointments. The HV was good and rescheduled D's 1yr check for next week. Third time lucky maybe, although you watch the council give us a house to move into during half term lol. J had to go to see if there's been any improvement to the 'stretch' in his leg muscles have improved in the 3 months since we last went. His hamstring has improved greatly but the muscle in his ankle and under the foot is still very tight. They are ordering a new boot for him to wear as the other is a bit too small now and wasnt really working but they are now talking about 'serial casting'. Basically they will stretch his foot, plaster it in position and he will have to stay like that for 6days, then I remove it before he goes back on the 7th day when they will stretch his foot a bit more and plaster it again. This could go on for 3-4wks although they are hopeful it will be quicker with him. They will be doing both feet at the same time, he will have a special boot to wear over them so he can still walk, ride a bike etc oh and go to school lol. He's not too kean on the idea but if he doesnt do it, it could mean that in the next year or two when he has a growth spurt, he could end up in more pain.

AM now off to get E from school and its bloody snowing

Tillyscoutsmum · 10/02/2010 10:25

Gosh, its quiet on here. Where is everyone ? How is everyone ?

AprilMeadow · 10/02/2010 19:46
