Oh forgetting as I don't have to get up for work it was I that got up at 1:40 last night as DS took his PJ pants off and wet the bed. Sorted him out and then got him and DD1 settled before getting back into bed only for DD2 to wake up and need feeding and then get back into bed at 03:05. I do appreciate he can't do that bit though.

Come on Jam cheer up a foggy grey Yorkshire day with talk of glamorous wedding day plans. I can't believe how restrained you are I was a proper wedding bore.

Hi MJB, what are your initials for your new name is it MJLC?

Moijaimelacountry · 19/01/2010 13:58

You can stick with MrsJB CM. I'll always be a biffa at heart.

ManicMumsNet more like here. off to sort the moutain of washed clothes.

largeginandtonic · 19/01/2010 14:01

CM I am truly stunned that you spen 4 hours of everyday in the car!!! That is blardy ridiculous.

If he drove could he get G from nursery? Why will he not drive?

Dh usually rides his bike to work, he has just not assembled it from beong dismantled when he went to sea last June! I do run him about quite a bit i suppose but what you do is beyond a joke.

Did you tell him you heard him on the phone? What did he say? Oh my fecking god. I would have, have, i dunno. Been reeeeealy CROSS.

One day in our shoes and all that...

Mrsjb are your parents still away?

OP posts:
Moijaimelacountry · 19/01/2010 14:04

LOL at been really cross..... I'd have feckin thrown his phone at his forehead.

Yep, still awy till Sunday night, thank feck!

Ohhhh I am grumpy today, don't know why? Going, going, gone. xxx

charleymouse · 19/01/2010 14:22

Yes Gin he can drive but chooses not to. He has a car which is just sat in his works car park. When he was younger 17-18 he wrote a car off then bumped another in a car park (when I was watching him reverse ). So he decided driving was not his thing and he used to catch the train to work then we had jobs in the same city so I drove us in.

He didn't drive at all between 1988 and 2007 until I was faced with a possible section when expecting the DTs. He then had refresher lessons and got a car. He did drive this and got himself to work for a while. When I went back to work I drove as my car is bigger and more comfy so his got used less and less. In the end we did'nt tax it last year and I had talked about getting it taxed and insured whilst pregnant with H but he showed no inclination to drive so put it off as a waste of money. I have now had it MOTd and am hoping to insure and tax it from Feb as he has said he may drive it HOOBLOODYRAH!! Just the weather putting both of us off at the moment. I do not really want him driving himself and DS about in these conditions. It will be nice if he drives a bit though, I may well have a life again then. It doesn't really matter most of the time and when I am at work but when I am off tis a nightmare.

Yes I was cross re the phone call especially as he related an argument we had as well. I actually rang his colleague at work when he got back there after lunch to tell him to disconnect his phone as I wanted to ring out from home. He was suitably ashamed of himself and asked if I had heard the bit where he said he loved me to pieces (I had) but we still argued like cat and dog sometimes. He was a bit embarassed about it to be honest.

Themasterandmargaritas · 19/01/2010 14:40

at non driving dhs and at overheard telephone conversations. I liked the' love you to pieces' bit though. God I am really, really lucky with dh. In fact it would probably happen the other way round in our house .

I am amazed that he has a car and doesn't use it Charley, that is such a huge waste of money, not to mention your time. Sounds like he's developed a bit of a phobia, send him to the drs, oh wait, he is a doctor isn't he?

So sorry chick about your back. It's hardly surprising mind, thinking of all that lifting and buggy folding and car seat strapping you do. I hope it sorts itself out soon.

Chocolate MrsJB? Will that help the grumpiness?

And Jam, where the hell are you, we want DETAILS and we want them NOW. Does your mother know do you think???

I too spend a fair bit of time in the car, two schools, two am drops, one lunchtime pick up, two schools, two pm pick ups. So today I walked, yes I walked, unheard of around here, to pick up ds1 from his kindergarten then walked to dd's school, watched her do her swimming training, then walked home. Oh and I did a 10k run this morning. Now, where's that chocolate gone?

Can we have some pics please Charley? I need to see H and her siblings all together?

JamInMyWellies · 19/01/2010 16:07

at the no driving DH's I whinge about putting the boys in the car and driving 10 mins down the road at 6pm. Will stop moaning about that one looks like I get off lightly.

LG&T get yourself to a chiropracter you sound like you need a bit of tweaking.

Charley I agree we need some more pics and while we are on that TMAM where are the pics of your new house.

We are potty training again but so far so good he is happy to sit on the potty and performs every time even for poos but we need to crack the out of the house. He is still not telling me but can stop it if he starts to wee like in my bed! I am using pull ups as I cant face going to NY and dealing with wet pants trousers etc. We call them outside pants and his reg pants are inside pants. Seems to be working.

DO oyu really want to know about the wedding I feel I bored you all enough with the dress hunt. Ok so here is our timetable.

Then on Thurs we are having dinner at a lovely Italian place in the village with my DSIS and DP and my BF. Fri is D-DAY hair and makeup being done in the morning. Then the ceremony is at 2pm I am having antique white roses with purple calla lily's. The boys are wearing navy cords, with contrasting shirts and navy v-neck sweaters and converse runners. My DSIS is walking me down the aisle prob accompanied by the boys. Then I am hoping for a smattering of snow and blue skies for some Central Park photos it will be chuffin freezing I will be moaning about being cold. Then we are off to in the lobby lounge for champagne feed the kids Then my BF and husband are taking the boys and their little girl back to their house where the babysitter will take over. John and I will at this point go off with the photographer for some touristy type tacky smiley pics, times square, getting out a yellow cab etc.

Then in the evening we are off to this place for dinner Then prob end up in some dive bar very drunk. There is almost no chance of consumating the marriage as we will be A too drunk and B very excited at not having children waking us at 6 am so will relish sleeping.

Sounds absolutely amazing Jam. Looking forward to piccies.

Had the best day yet with the potty training. C wore same pants and trousers all day with no accidents. We went to toddlers this morning, came home and he went to playgroup this afternoon so brilliant job. Very proud of him.

Not had much time to catch up. The childmining is taking some sorting, along with house etc. Wedding is taking a back seat (not least as we have no money ).

largeginandtonic · 20/01/2010 06:33

Just had a message to say my brother is back from Afghanistan! Hoooooray!

He was supposed to be back last Thursday and they keptndate changing at the very last minute. My poor sil was beside herself.

MrsJB i have those days, i feel them bubbling up. Hormone related do you think? Is there a pattern? I am a bit crazy before a period sometimes.

You know that pill thread i started ages ago? I got af about 3 days later and have been bleeding ever since. Pill due to run out in 5 days and not sure i will reknew it. I mean fgs. It is because i said i thought i had my dream cure isn't it!

I feel rubbish this morning, hoping it is one of those morning colds that vanish by lunchtime. I really must do some shopping today, bad back or not!

What is everyone else up to?

shocking nights sleep with L waking every 2 hours... 10.30, 2,4,6 & 8 .. Just as her sleep gets back on track she has more bloody jabs! Am seriously considering giver her formula as her night feed...

JAM, your wedding plans sound so wonderful - cant wait to see the pictures

Will pop back later once i am more awake

JamInMyWellies · 20/01/2010 09:50

LG&T brilliant news.

AM passing oyu some matchsticks mine too are propped open. A was awake from 2-5.30 ruddy children.

Themasterandmargaritas · 20/01/2010 10:20

Bloody rabbits woke me up at some ungodly hour, i thought it was the dc scurrying around. Pesky things, I have moved them to the other end of the garden.

Great news about your bro.

I am still totally pyscho about 3 days before my AF. Poor dh gets divorced everytime . I just can't seem to see it happening. It's clear as a bell afterwards. Any helpful suggestions on what to do?

Well done C on his potty training! How is the Parch getting on today Jam? Miraculously J is dry at night now. I'm amazed because ds1 was only dry about 6 months ago...

Tillyscoutsmum · 20/01/2010 10:26

Are there some matchsticks left over for me please ?

Sympathies AM and JAM. Can you sell children on ebay do you reckon ? I could get rid of mine and fund a lovely holiday to the Maldives

Good news about your bro Gin but rubbish about never ending period. You poor thing

I had hideous PMT. I take calcium, magnesium and B6 supplements and they really do help with the moods. linky

AprilMeadow · 20/01/2010 10:48

Well done to both Archie & Callum for their dry day and also to Jasper for being dry at night!

I want to know where my good little sleeper has disappeared off to Ever since she had her first jab at 11wks her sleeping has gone down hill!

Has anyone else given formula at the bedtime feed but continued to bf during the night if they wake..? I'm just thinking that it might fill her up enough to keep her sleeping for longer.. Also, is it likely to bugger up her little tummy..? She was 4 months yesterday and i more than likely teething as her hands are in her mouth constantly!

SKYTVADDICT · 20/01/2010 20:54

Hi all

AM - giving L formula never made any difference to him unfortunately but lots of people swear by it.

C did a huge poo in his pants today but we had left him downstairs by himself while we got ready for school. Rest of day he has been brilliant again.

Great news on your brother being back LG&T.

Lots of policies and procedures to get sorted but too tired! Better go and give them a go I suppose.

JamInMyWellies · 20/01/2010 21:01

AM I am with Sky on this one. As you know we gave Lachlan a formula dream feed from very early on and it made no difference to his sleep pattern.
