SKYTVADDICT · 13/01/2010 22:38

Wow LG&T - that is a high score . Will also be virtual hand holding on Friday.

Did you not know your mum was a mumsnetter Jam? Hope she doesn't find you!!

Hope you are feeling a bit better now Charley.

TMAM - your move sounds interesting. Hope DDs wrist isn't too bad.

Not much to say from our end. Just keep lurking and posting occasionally.

Hello to everyone else x

AprilMeadow · 14/01/2010 08:56

Oh CRAP your Mum is a MN'er!! EEEKKKKKKK

LG&T, I will be thinking of you tomorrow - im in Birmingham at the Autosport show, but will have my phone xxx

TMAM, oh no poor bunny and poor D. I hope her wrist is ok this morning.

Tillyscoutsmum · 14/01/2010 11:08

TMAM - poor DD

Jam - at your mum being an MNetter. Its bad enough when I got a friend request on FB from my mother. How on earth do you say no ??

Gin - at £900's

I think things may be getting better here [cautiously optimistic emoticon]. I think Moi hit the nail on the head with the sleep thing. It just never occurred to me really that at 4 weeks, he wouldn't just be able to go to sleep when he wanted and needed "help". I remember Tils at that age would sleep anytime, anywhere. I remember trying to keep her awake a bit in the day time when she was about 11 weeks old (because her body clock was all upside down) and it being almost impossible. I'd be there, stripping her off and wiping her face with cold water and she'd still be asleep .

So - the boy will sleep happily in the day time in his car seat or sling but won't lie flat. I know they're not supposed to spend too much time in the car seat but I'm hoping he'll get into the sleep habit for a few days and then I can tackle getting him to sleep somewhere else. He mostly goes 3 hours between feeds in the day (sometimes 3 and half), then cluster feeds in the evening (which is what Til did) but still wakes every 2 hours in the night. I have tried settling him at night without feeding but he does seem to need to nurse (not feed a lot but for comfort etc.). I've ordered a swaddle blanket and am going to try some more soothers so we can hopefully stretch the night wakings.

We're off out now to get 3-6 month sleepsuits and vests because he's bursting out of his 0-3 month ones

Moijaimelacountry · 14/01/2010 11:44

Jam I missed the bit about your MUM... OMG, lol

Tilly, your post sounds much more positive, you seem to have a plan. Keep tackling the sleep, they really need it even if it's a fight to get them there. However the more you fight them the more they give in and as long as you keep consistent he'll quickly get the hang that sleeping time means sleep. He will feel soooooo much better for it too.

Moijaimelacountry · 15/01/2010 09:30

Holding your hand today lg&t, hope it goes ok.... xx

Themasterandmargaritas · 15/01/2010 10:30

OMG, your mum . Will she be very very sad to have missed your big day?

Good luck LG&T for today.

Now the guinea pig has kicked the bucket Not doing very well are we? Apparently avocado is fatal...

Tillyscoutsmum · 15/01/2010 14:42

Thinking of you here as well LG&T xx

AprilMeadow · 15/01/2010 18:47

LG&T, i hope it wasnt too traumatic in court today. Have been thinking of you xx

largeginandtonic · 15/01/2010 19:39

Hullo.

Was crap. He didn't show He asked for the bloody appeal. It was on a consent order! He farcking consented.

Then he didn't even show. The judge kept us waiting for 3 hours while she waited for him to appear.

The judge then saw us and has ordered full CAFCASS reports

He is not in the country, i am pretty sure. When he filed the appeal he said he was unavailable for a hearing until end of March

So a man supposedly desperate to see his children and in fear for their safety and emotional well being, has lodged an appeal against a consent order HE consented to has declared himself unavailable for months...

I mean i am at a loss really.

My solicitor asked for costs as he did not appear. £250 plus VAT. The judge said ok i will agree to that but let's forget the VAT

I am PAYING for all this shite. Does no one care?!

Am beyond pissed off.

I may change name and start a thread asking for advice becuse this is surely farcical.

JamInMyWellies · 15/01/2010 19:44

Themasterandmargaritas · 17/01/2010 10:41

OMG she is one already. Happy, happy birthday Bluebell.

charleymouse · 17/01/2010 23:09

Happy Birthday Bluebell.

Feeling better now guys have manned up. Hope everyone is well. Off to do my online shop, night night.

charleymouse · 19/01/2010 02:53

Oh hurrah for immunisation and grouchy babies. [tired] H passed her 7 week check today, then got stabbed twice. Twice I tell you. Now 9lb (or 9lb 4oz) HV read scales wrong (was too busy gossiping) and I was too idle to demand reweigh but now they want us back in a fortnight to check weight gain. I beg of you.

Gin sorry he is a twonk, hope your back feels better. Lovely pics on FB. Can't believe t hey don't get you all the costss back. I refuse to bellieve B is one. You must be imagining it. Think you are right re parents should just lower my expectations.

TSM have heard only good things re cranial osteopathy, worth a try. Love the domestic goddess picture. Will lend you my boobs for F, I think they will just about stretch down to you.

AM boohoo re teething. Was the auto show any good?Nice to hear Scoot is okay and has a note excusing her absence.

Jam, could your Mum be hinting she knows your plans by admitting to MNetting do you think? Anyway why aren't you getting giddy and telling us abut outfits (esp shoes)/flowers/venues/vows etc. We need details so we can be there in spirit. Any chance of a web cam? CM wonders if attending a wedding via the internet can justify a new outfit for herself

TMAM what a fecker that avocado is. PS if you ever keep goats don't let them eat rhodedendron, tis not nice. The green poo and mouth frothing is vile. Hope you are settling into your own abode, do we have details and pics etc? Is the knee ok?

Sky feeling better thanks, how is DH getting on in this bad weather? Any takers yet for the CMing?

PJ glad things are settling down. I am sending a pat on the back for your handling of the situation. Well done. Does one handed clap on knee as feeding H.

MJB hope you are foot tapping along, the French is coming along a treat, (my completely uneducated opinion of couse as not even sure what your initials should be in your francais nom)

Abby see you at half term . Hope you are all okay.

SOH how are you doing did you have a lovely birthday? oh and did the shop turn out ok?

MKG wher you gone again?

Scoot hope you had a smashing b'day will see you soon.
oh right off to bed as DD seems to be dropping off, will catch up laters.

PS
Oh what did everyone get for Christmas? Generally and from SS?

JamInMyWellies · 19/01/2010 08:57

Just a quickie will be back later.

LG&T as your SS didnt ever turn up. Will reorder it but its out of stock at the mo will see if I can find something else or will wait for it to be restocked.

JamInMyWellies · 19/01/2010 09:24

That didnt really make sense will reorder when in stock but in the meantime if I see something else will get it.

largeginandtonic · 19/01/2010 12:46

Jammy don't worry. You have enough on your plate! It might turn up yet.

We want to hear about the plate btw. I need a Venue, what flowers you are having and what you will do after the even (apart from the obvious ;))

CM back to your mammoth posts ;) Glad little H is ok, the poor wee thing being stabbed twice!

Thank you for all the Happy Birthday Bluebell wishes. She is such a cutie. Was a nice day.

I have hurt my back fairly badly. I was actually in tears on Sunday morning. Dh was as i think i have only ever cried in front of him when in labour! Am off to see the Osteopath on Saturday.

SOH did some research and thinks i have a trapped nerve. It is driving me crackers.

Beau was up at 515, alarm at 6. DH ignored it till 615. Then he was late. So he asked me to take him to the ferry. SO i had to get them all upand dressed and out the house in 10 minutes

DD1 had an app at the hospital at 940, so school run and race back. Load car. Hurt back even more trying to get the buggy in the car while holding the boot open (hydraulic has broken so it crashes on your head instead of staying open) Late to hospital app, race in. Two babies causing havoc.

Race back to take dd1 to school, go to fecking halfords for a blardy inner tube for dh bike. Back now unbearable

Sorry for self indulgent moan. Am grumpy and in pain.

Jam cheer me up with wedding details.

OP posts:
Moijaimelacountry · 19/01/2010 13:41

Poor you lg&t... You are too kind to your dh, I'd have told mine to get his sorry backside moving and deal with the consequences of being a lazy arse himself, oh and btw you can stop off on your back for your inner tube. Or maybe thats just how I'm feeling today!

I agree come on Jammy, we've waited long enough, fill me with some happy wedding info. Where is it, hotel link would be wonderful.

charleymouse · 19/01/2010 13:43

Gosh, sorry, just realised how many typos in last post.

LG&T sorry about the back. Its a fecker isn't it having a DH that doesn't drive. My day consists of getting DCs up in a morning then getting everyone in car. Drop DD1 at school, take DS to nursery, take DH to work. Then get myself home. This takes from 8:40 until 10:015. I have to feed H as soon as we get in as she is hungry, then feed myself before I headbut the floor. I then have a couple of hours where I can catch up in house etc. I then get H in car and pick up DD1 from school, then pick up DH from work then DS from nursery then get us all home (depends on traffic which one is first). This takes from 15:15 until 17:30 on average. Then DH asks me what I have been doing all day. Well actually I have been driving everyone all over blardy town for half the day. Oh and he left his phone connected on Friday after a call and I heard him tell the cafe owner it was outrageous G is at nursery when I am at home. He is booked in this term as I was worried I might have a section again and thought he would be bored at home with a tiny baby needing constant feeding. He likes his routine does G. To top it off DD goes to sleep in car so is not tired at bedtime. Hohum.

Moan, moan, moan.
