Glad your dh is home safe and sound Tmam, there have been terrible problems here with the weather.
We are off to see some very good friends today who had a baby girl on Friday, Phoebe Elizabeth. I am so thrilled for them. Their son is 18 months old and she had a very difficult pregnancy and birth with him and he still has some on-going medical problems. She was so worried about this one but all went smoothly and I can't wait to meet the new lo!
Well all the pressies are wrapped now and hidden back in the wardrobe. I'm getting very excited now, can't wait to see the kids faces!

AprilMeadow · 23/12/2009 14:19

PJ got a Mrs Joey McIntyre T-shirt, a Joey McIntyre 2010 Fridge Magnet & some Jo Malone Hand Cream

largevirginbirthandtonic · 23/12/2009 16:42

Abby!! How lovely to see you! Glad all is well.

SOH come back soon

TMAM hooray for dh being home! Thank goodness he was not stranded in the weather. What is Santa bringing all the babies then?

AM how is the drive defrosting? Your choc hamper sounds yummy. Did Jack enjoy the club?

We booked train tickets last week to London. The weather chaos would not deter us and yesterday we set off It was a bot hellish but not tooooo bad. Dh had to carry the P&T over all the platforms as the lifts were all out of order! Thank goodness he is He Man. We went to Harrods. Oh I LOVE IT in there. I think i could live there. The foodhalls are just too fantatstic for words. I had one of these Whoopie cakes. I must learn how to make them.

A quick trip round Hyde Park Winter wonderland (amazing) and we came home. Beau got very cold in Hyde Park so we didn't stay long. It was baltic! Would love to go with all the children one day.

My Bearded Dragons survived without us. I have become quite attached They are Jerry and Jolene.

I can't believe it is Xmas eve tomorrow! Time just whizzes by. It feels like 5 minutes ago i was sat waiting for Bluebell to arrive. She can't be one in January i simply forbid it

Pebblemum · 23/12/2009 22:35

LG&T I know what you mean, this year has just flown by. Well except the last few days, it seems to be taking forever to get to Christmas. My presents are wrapped, turkey cooked (wouldnt fit in freezer), presents from us and family are under the tree, now we just have to wait and wait.....

Poor Dh has to go collect the 'santa' presents tomorrow from MILs. They have been wrapped and stored in her loft so he has to get them down, in the car and back to our house without the kids seeing. Wouldnt be too much of a problem if it was only going to be one trip but apparantly it will take at least two (and we have a big car lol) While he's out doing that I have to disappear with the kids so may take them to see Santa although if this horrible weather keeps up I wont want to leave the house. Its pouring down, windy, we've had lightening on and off all night and according to the radio there has been some freak weather just down the road from us involving massive hail stones, think I prefered the snow.

Anyway Im still using J's laptop and it needs wrapping up so I will wish everyone a Merry Christmas, hope you all have a great time no matter how you are celebrating it and I will speak to you when it is all over

xx

charleymouse · 24/12/2009 02:45

Evening all, up late as been wrapping pressies, off to bed now. Probably just in time for H to wake up and need a snack.

Merry Christmas to you all.

Themasterandsnowballs · 24/12/2009 06:54

Presents and mucho hype here. Only the sun seems to have disappeared.....

Good to see you Abby. And you Charley, how is the littlest poppet doing?

The babies are getting a baby rabbit and guinea piggie and ds1 is desperate for a kitten so we shall get one for him when we move into the other house, actually I think he may be terribly disappointed as he is utterly convinced FC is bringing one for him . Being overseas children they are very happy with lots of small things like books, safari hats, footballs. Even though dd asked for a DS we have fended that one off until next year.

at Harrods Foodhall.

Is Blubell really one in January?????? Surely not? Is it so very quiet with just the two of them?

StarlightStarbrightSKYTVtonite · 24/12/2009 07:46

Very Merry Christmas to one and all. Hope you all have brilliant times.

I got my SS the other day but haven't opened it yet. Will post after Christmas.

Lots to do today, girls going to their Dads but all their pressies are wrapped for boxing day BUT no pressies wrapped for the boys. Have never been this late before. Heavens knows how late I will be up tonight.

My childming certificate came which I was not expecting until mid to end Feb! I am nowhere near ready, not going to worry about it until after christmas.

Bye for now.

JamInMyWellies · 24/12/2009 09:35

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you all have a fabulous time with your families.

largevirginbirthandtonic · 24/12/2009 11:32

Quiet TMAM are you avin a larf Beau makes enough noise all by himself but he has Blubell growling along with him. She is mad as a box of frogs and is walking everywhere. She will be one on 16th Jan

The children will love the animals TMAM. Just tell B that the kitten could't possibly travel in the sack with the rabbit and guinea pig, they would fight! Beau wants a castle and dragon. He is probably going to be disappointed that it is not a real dragon!

I miss the others alot today. I just know how excited they will be today This is the best day of Christmas imo. They are all bouncing off the walls and can barely contain their excitment. Ho hum. Suer they are having a brill time, that is what counts.

Beau is bored without them, he is full of snot and coughing and could do with some distraction. Blubell is not playing well enough yet. She just steals all his trains

Have a very Merry Christmas everyone and see oyu on the other side

AprilMeadow · 24/12/2009 13:06

TMAM the little furries sound fabulous!!

Jack had a great time at the club and was totally knackered! Didnt wake until 8am!!

Dh just gone to get Ella from nursery and then we can start getting ready to head out and see Santa Going on the WaterCress Line at 2.45 - something that i did as a child so its quite nice to be able to do with my 3.

Xmas day food = tick
boxing day food = tick
presents wrapped = tick
house tidy = no tick
ironing complete = no tick

Ho hum the most important bits are done

Have a wonderful Christmas ladies and i hope Santa brings you all some lovely bits and bobs xxx

Moijaimelachristmaspudding · 24/12/2009 22:34

Ho Ho HO

largevirginbirthandtonic · 26/12/2009 18:17

Have had a very quiet Christmas, bit odd tbh. Nice though

Poor old Jenny has Lucas in hospital with bronchiolitis I am sure he will be fine. I have had 3 have the vile virus.

The twins had it, Jacob just 24 hrs after he was discharged from hospital (as they were born at 29 weeks) and Sam before he even got to come home. I had one transferred to Addenbrokes as he needed ventilating and one in Peterborough. This was Xmas day eve 11 yeras ago

Both recovered well though and were home by New Year. They had it again a few months later but managed to avoid hospital.

Jonah had it at 4 months. Hospital and oxygen head box. Was just a few days before Xmas. He came out Xmas eve.

Such a horrid, horrid virus. I wish i was with her.

AprilMeadow · 26/12/2009 20:29

Same Here LG&T. I spoke with her earlier before when M was at the hospital with him. Poor love, i wish she just lived around the corner and not 4hrs away! In fact i think we should build a village and all move there!!

Manic 3 days of entertaining, but now thats all over with and we can start trying to find places for the ridiculous amount of toys the kids got!

JamInMyWellies · 26/12/2009 20:48

Poor PJ. Hope her wee man gets better soon.

Have no idea what possesed us but we have decided to start potty training properly today. He has managed to hold his pee in loads and since 8am has only done 3 wees!

Hope you all have had a brilliant Christmas ours has been punctuated with moments of screaming hysteria either joyful or not. But on the whole lovely. I was a vvvv lucky girl and got a kitchenaid! made a pavlova last night for dinner today was delish. One more day of family, turkey and presents and we can relax a bit before DP goes back to work.

Pebblemum · 27/12/2009 00:13

Send PJ my get well wishes for Lucas, its bad enough when the LO's are ill but I always think it feels a lot worse at this time of year when we should all be together having fun with the family. Hope he is better soon.

I had some bad news on Christmas day, my brother's girlfriend has been told she may only have 18months to live, have only met her a couple of times as they live 5hrs away but my brother finally seems to have found someone to settle down with and now this happens Im not sure exactly what is wrong with her, they didnt go into details but it is something to do with her lungs. Its times like this I wish he lived closer, he has our cousins near by but I feel he should have close family to lean on. He's taken on her daughter as his own but if her mum does die she will go to live with her dad, leaving my brother dealing with the loss of two people close to him, im worried how he will cope with that

Apart from that we had a lovely Christmas, the kids were thoroughly spoilt. J and E decided that 4am was a great time to wake up but luckily after opening their stockings they went back to sleep until 7am. A decided she didnt want to wake up at first but then she saw her stocking and was suddenly wide awake. She was pleased with the 3 little presents in her stocking, especially the Disney Princess Lip Gloss set so when she saw her pile in the lounge her little face lit up. Everything she unwrapped she hugged whether it was a doll or her new Dora plate. E made little sqeaking noises with every present he opened. We had bought him an extra present at the last minute, something he had wanted for months but at £100 we didnt think it was worth it but at the last minute it went down to £50 so we made a rash decision to buy it but the look on his face when he openened was priceless and I was so pleased we had got it, especially as it appears it was a price error as it went back up to £100 the following day. J loves his laptop, he's hardly been off it lol. As for D, well he took it all in his stride and although he loved his toys he wanted to play cars with E more.

I cant believe that in exactly 1 month he will be 1. He is almost as big as Alana both height and width, they wear the same size nappies. Am going to try potty training A again in the New Year, had to give it up last time because A was just holding everything in and not going to the toilet for the whole day which obviously is not good, then she would suddenly have to go and wouldnt have time to get to the potty. She would sit on the potty several times during the day but wouldnt let it go. Hopefully now though we can be more successful. As long as she is dry, at night too, before she is 3 then I will be happy.

Im am looking forward to a few peaceful days now before it all gets hectic again with my mums birthday and New Years Eve. Dh bought me the new Patricia Cornwell book and Im itching to read it but know that once I start I wont want to stop so I need a couple of hours where the kids are playing happily and no one is due round, surely thats not too much to ask

Themasterandsnowballs · 27/12/2009 07:09

Poor poor Pink, just so not what she needs. Send her my love. Actually someone could send me her mobile number then I can sms her.....

Pebble, sorry to hear that too

We have had a lovely couple of days, just off on safari tomorrow for 5 days so it's rather hectic packing and cooking here. AND it's raining. That is not part of the deal.

Happy New Year to you all, enjoy your partying and karibu 2010.

JamInMyWellies · 27/12/2009 20:23

MrsJB are you around for some potty training advice

AprilMeadow · 28/12/2009 08:33

MrsJB, belated birthday wishes to H for yesterday.. Did he have a great day?

Flying visit as we have some friends arriving in an hour and the husband has more of a cleaning ocd than my dh so as you can imagine dh is on the twitch to make sure the house looks beautiful!! He forgets that they have only cats and we have kiddies

So far the kitchen, dining room and lounge are looking pretty - study & playroom look like a bomb has gone off!

my lovely sleeper of a baby has disappeared She is waking 3 times between 11&6. Ever since her jabs at 11wks she has been waking 2/3times which is gutting as she was sleeping through

charleymouse · 28/12/2009 08:39

PJ so sorry to hear L is ill, he will be fine sweetie, he really will. Much love.

Merry Christmas everyone. Off to Meadowhell to brave the sales now, I may be gone some time

StarlightStarbrightSKYTVtonite · 28/12/2009 15:32

Poor PJ. Thinking of you and Lucas x

Thanks to whoever for my Secret Santa pressie. Love the scarf (for Skytvaddict) and the earings.

We too are potty training since yesterday Jam. C has worn pants all day yesterday and today with no accideents, just wees on the potty - did a pooh before we took nappy off this am. Just went for a very short walk and he had an accident unfortunately, but told us as soon as he had done it. Just wet trousers.

He hasn't eaten anything over the last week but seems to have turned a corner today thank goodness or it would have been the GP for us tomorrow!

Happy New Year to all if I dont' get on here again before then x

charleymouse · 28/12/2009 21:06

Thank you Secret Santa for my lovely Red scarf, Red gloves and Radox spa set.

I am trying to explain to DD that my luxurious red scarf is mine and not hers Thank you very much it is lovely. Where is the round up of who got what?

Hope you are all well and had a good time over Christmas. Happy New Year to one and all. Just in case anyone was wondering I do do Christmas cards and have actually written them but have cunningly not posted them. So assuming there are no new arrivals by next Christmas you will get them in time for next year Sorry.

Pebblemum · 28/12/2009 22:25

Charley Im as bad as you. I thought I was really organised as I had written all my cards out on 30th Nov but forgot to post most of them in the end. My Aunty phoned my mum asking if everything was ok as it wasnt like me not to send her one, think she was quite upset The really bad thing is i was cleaning out the back of my computer desk which hasnt been used due to lack of internet and found cards I had forgotten to send last year too, ooops.

Has anyone else found the past couple of days passing really slowly. I have been so bored after the rushing around prior to Christmas. The only good thing is Deacon has taken his first steps, it was 3 yesterday, although he did manage 4 but was going backwards and falling at the time so I dont think that counts and today he managed 5 little ones. He thinks its funny to throw himself forward though and so most of the time he cant do much more because he is giggling too much.

Hope everyone is enjoying the rest of the Christmas break. Dh is off out tomorrow with his friends, typical boy things-go karting, snooker and beer.Meanwhile Im going to be trying out our new slow cooker and dh's donut maker, oh and trying to play 3 different games at once with the kids. Something tells me Ive got the raw deal here

Oh well at least its only one day, when i go to see Bon Jovi in June he will have them for two days while I live it up in a lovely hotel and shop til I drop. And we will just have got back from a week in Disney so the kids will be in that horrible post holiday boredom phase, revenge is sweet

largevirginbirthandtonic · 29/12/2009 11:09

Lucas is much better. turned a corner thankfully.

I am BORED. Kids back tomorrow. It was dh Birthday yesterday but Bluebell was poorly so we didn't actually do anything Poor dh. Think we will go out to dinner in the New Year sometime.

We have broken the boy. He had his 3rd night in HIS bed last night. He was not too bad really. I fekt horrid the first night, lots of screaming and banging and throwing while i hid clutching a glass of wine.

All done now i hope. We just need to migrate Bluebell back in there now. We stuck her in a travel cot downstairs so she would not be disturbed.

Must feed the girl. Lots of New Year love to you all xxx

Moijaimelachristmaspudding · 29/12/2009 11:46

Glad to hear Lucas is getting better. poor little thing, PJ will be a rock after having to deal with this so early on.

Thanks for H's b'day wishes, he had a lovely day with a little party at an indoor play area and then dinner with a few friends at Buffalo Grill (western steak house) afterwards.

I have had a nasty chest infection over Christmas, still feeling crap and would really have liked to stay in bed rather than have to be sociable and muddle through.

AM Lucy could be just be having a growth spurt or a little blip, keep going with your routine, she will get it back, honest.

Jam, how's it going?

Happy new Year to everyone, may 2010 keep us all safe and well.

Tillyscoutsmum · 29/12/2009 20:43

So glad L is on the mend PJ - you poor things

Well done on breaking the boy Gin Long may it continue

Hope everyone else is well and had a great christmas

All is ok here - I'm a bit tired and emotional. Ferg is prolific feeder which is great but sodding knackering !

Have been asking for advice here if anyone can help.
