Oh dear, hyperactive !! action going on there - sorry...

Honeymoonmummy · 13/11/2009 22:52

Hey all, not had good afternoon/ evening, had to leave room at one point as felt was gonna hurt Pops if I stayed. Spoke too soon re the new AD's!! Can't say much as on work laptop. Sorry not keeping up much at the moment.

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/11/2009 23:48

Just back from party and off to bed.

Ds' problem is teeth I believe - he has a molar getting very bumpy, plus an incisor coming through. He's not happy unless carried around this week.

Night all.

myjob it is cute to see them together running, N will def be doing it soon and then you will be tripping over her or she will be following you everywhere you go Honestly, sometimes I cant walk away without P following me and wanting me to be with her!

50ft Yes they do play together but only off course when it suits dd1 and if dd1 does want to play and wants to move/pick up dd2 then P screams at her in a really cross and annoyed way...I can see trouble ahead....! They are funny though and I am glad it is not just my two who can play and fight Also it is a lot colder at night but P still wiggles out the quilt and has her fluffy and bunny and seems ok, I am always snuggled under mine (not bunny and fluffy obviously!)

aubergenie I work as a Occupational Therapy Instructor on the adult mental health wards. its is a nice job, sad that not all of them get better though.

pistachio work ok, they are really good and hae been ever so supportive of me, I think working in mental health has helped as they all know alot about depression and mood and coping strategies. I dont know if my confidence will ever be back though as that always seems to be low when meeting new people etc, hopefully over time it will get better and as I age hearing aids will be being dished out to my old friends too

HM oh no I hope you are ok, you have had alot on though with Poppys birthday and party etc, hopefully the tablets will kick in soon but just take it easy for now.

pistachio as a mum I think you know when you really need to take them to the doctors, i think if he had been really poorly you would have deon but if not serious you tend to think it will just clear up. You are not at all a bad mum, I am the same, I wont go unless I really have too and I hate waiting in the drs especially if you know the kids are better tucked up warm at home. I would say go monday but just go to chemist today if you need supplies to keep you going, they nmay offer something else.

ronshar · 14/11/2009 09:39

4am. Thats all I have to say.

Pistachio, if your baby was really ill you would take him. More often than not it is a viral infection and not much gp can do. If DS chest is really noisy then it could be infected, is he bringing up any nasty stuff when he coughs?
How great for you to get MrPistachio home again.

Jenwa when you settle back in to work you will get better. If it helps try to concentrate on the strategies you give to your pt's and apply them to yourself! P is very clever with the running around.

50ft yipee to the beautiful M. Revolutionary thought here but how about you buy something for yourself as a congratulation for producing such a gorgeous girl? It isnt all about the nappies

CSWS poor D. He will be back to normal soon. Could it be something to do with your BM? You know, about the other thing????

Myjob, your big brave boy and ever so delicate little N

Star kids are horrible sometimes. But then so are adults, so I dont know why we are always so surprised when children do things like that.

Ronshar. You must be knackered. Are you still feeding W at night?

Pistachio - Your ds sounds like he's got the same thing that S had. He didn't seem ill enough to take to the doctor but really wasn't himself. It might be worth a trip if it's not getting any better after all this time though. I'm like you - never go to the doctor unless it's something really serious so I find it difficult to judge.

S slept from 7 till 7.30.
I had a rubbish night though. I woke up thinking how loud the wind was and eventually got up to find that dp's brother had left the front door wide open.

HMM - Sorry to hear things so tough at the moment.

To be fair Myjob, our front door is rather temperamental (just part of a long, long list of things that we need to sort out) and I'm sure he thought he had shut it, but the hall was full of rainwater and wet leaves. Poor bloke had to sleep on the sofa with the tv on because each time he switched it off he could hear a mouse scuttling around under the floorboards. Oh dear.

Yes. Turns out we've got mice Myjob. Totally unrelated to the front door - I just went off on a slight tangent there.

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/11/2009 20:17

Am soooooooo tired. I clearly can't cope with nights out at the moment!

Pistachio - I think you might be muddling your tooth names (or else I am). Incisors are just the front 8 teeth, which I thought that your ds had already (D has 6 of them so far). Is it the canines that you are dreading?

We have been blown away.

StarExpat · 15/11/2009 11:15

Q has a temp of 38.8, slept (well, cried, tossed turned then fell over back to sleep - on me for 25 min or so then back awake then back to sleep...... You get the picture) well, we were in bed until 945 this morning !!! And he had loads of water milk and some bite size shredded wheats then back to bed for a nap at 1045. Couldn't keep him awake poor boy he's fast asleep. Sounds wheezy in his chest when he breathes in, is hot but wanting blankets (?) Coughing loads. Given calpol every 6 hours and nurofen and cough syrup. I'm just so sad for my little baby! don't know what else to do. sorry can't read all posts as posting from blackberry.

MamaG · 15/11/2009 11:41

CSWS I just searched for HappyAccident - congratulations, I didn't know you were pg (am I the only one on here?! lol)

it's FAB having three DC

CantSleepWontSleep · 15/11/2009 14:08

oh bless mamag - you are the only one who didn't know I think, as we've had a big discussion about it on the fb group! But thank you .

Star - don't put blankets on if he's got a temp, as he needs to cool down. Are you alternating calpol and nurofen so that you are giving something every 3 or 4 hours?

OP posts:
StarExpat · 15/11/2009 15:34

I was giving them at the same time..... I don't know what I'm dimg!

StarExpat · 15/11/2009 16:30

I'm in a bit of a panic, but I don't want DH to see. Q sounds horrible when he breathes and is so sleepy it's unbelievable, won't be put down. I'm staying home with him tomorrow and DH is staying home with him on Tuesday we've decided. Poor little guy. I'm just so scared. He's really not well. Horrid cough, too

aubergenie · 15/11/2009 18:32

Oh Star, how horrible for you. If you're feeling panicky, do you think it's worth calling the out of hours doctor to reassure you?
