FOrgot to say - Congrats on the steps from J Rachie!! So exciting!
Cute cuddling, too
It won't be long now until he's running everywhere.

Q is FINALLY coming to follow me if I leave the room or turn a certain way rather than just going in the opposite direction. Thank GOODNESS.

Well done, clapping D!
Q still can't clap. He probably never will. He'll be 52 years old at a broadway show and he will be smiling and looking at everyone clapping around him, not thinking to do it himself.

LOL about N's teeny feet, myjob That's so sweet! Just get her the leather slippers. They have really cute girl styles and they're more comfortable anyway.

Q has mastered his wellies (well, almost - when I can get his heel all the way down anyway!) and spends time indoors sock, bare, or leather slipper footed. I've ordered him a cheap pair in his size from minibarratts, too... not sure if these will be good or not but he'll only need them a month or two I assume until he grows anyway.

star6 · 05/11/2009 16:49

And Rachie... sorry, I can be a bit pedantic...

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/11/2009 17:11

Star - search for CWSW and you will find 29 instances of people mistyping me .

50ftQueenie · 05/11/2009 17:26

RachieW · 05/11/2009 19:03

Sorry Star & CSWS- just a typo, I guess I shouldn't post late at night.

Happy Birthday P and BabyG, hope you've enjoyed your special days

star6 · 05/11/2009 19:24

Don't be sorry, Rachie! I'm just a pain in the a. Tell me to shut up

RachieW · 05/11/2009 20:14

No don't worry Star I'm just overtired and feeling sorry for myself. It's been a long week.

CSWS you cheeky lady! DH has changed his mind since trying to get the DC sorted for holiday and M's return to waking twice in the night. I am still so undecided! I had a good chat with Myjob about it when we met up and a lot of what Ronshar said made lots of sense (and were exactly the things we worried about). Plus it felt like I had four of them to deal with this afternoon they were both such pickles! M is sooooo much fun though, I just love being at home with her. But it wouldn't be the same if I had to divide my time between two. I can cope because ds is at school. Plus there is the whole issue of having a third c-section and the recovery from the last one was horrible enough without there being additional scar tissue to cut through from the other op.

I have FINALLY been given another appointment to see the specialist but that was arranged after the appointment in August. I am guessing that everything is fine as it has been two months since I had the CT scan!

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/11/2009 20:43

But you'll always wonder 'what if' 50ft .
Let the heart rule rather than the head for once .

OP posts:
50ftQueenie · 05/11/2009 21:09

Ah but CSWS, this is a change for me. I usually let my heart rule my head which is why I have no job to go back to! I do know what you mean though. We'll see in the Summer, I'm going to ask the consultant for more time to make a final decision about three before he takes all my innards.

Myjob - Awww bless her! It must be difficult walking on such tiny little feet! M finds it hard balancing on hers and they're a 3.5/4.

Star - Maybe Q is of such sophisticated taste that he has yet to find anything that he considers worthy of applause.

My mum's friend's daughter (who I know fairly well) had a baby girl in late Summer. She was delivered by emergency section as she had the cord round her neck and her lungs were full of meconium. She was in intensive care for a while but is home now. She recently had a brain scan and there are two areas of her brain that appear to be damaged and not functioning. Poor little love.

Sounds like you've really thought that one through Myjob. It must be a hard decision to make. Bless little N and her teeny tiny feet.

Rachie - You're working very hard at the moment. Is it school work that's keeping you up so late?

about your friend's daughter 50ft.

Has a decision been made about when we're doing our Greenwich meet up? Not sure if I've missed it as I've not been on much recently.

pepperrabbit · 05/11/2009 21:51

evening,
well I sent DH went to the docs today to ask about a snip, there's an 18 week waiting list!

Last week my period was 3 days late. I was not a happy bunny at all......
I've told him, no bonking till he's been done. He made that appt sooo fast
Been in the office today, I am so glad to be back at work even though I was stupidly busy with people wanting ridiculous amounts of money. After last weeks trip to the park with 3 children a buggy a scooter and a bicycle, lending squillions is a piece of piss

50ftQueenie · 05/11/2009 22:23

Aubergenie - It seems to have fallen by the wayside to be honest. I am still up for a meet up but November is getting a bit hectic now. My lovely brother is off to the States to start the first leg of his 6 months snowboarding thingy on a couple of weeks, my SIL is home from the States the following week, next weekend we have a 1st birthday party and a Christening to go to.....!

Pepper - He could always go private. Depends on how desperate he is for a bit of rumpy pumpy!

Myjob - I am so jealous of someone we both know who is expecting her third.

Damn you CSWS!!!! I thought I had decided on two, you've made me wobble again. I just can't let it go. Do you think that in itself means something? Maybe I'm being bloody minded.... I have a huge scar down the middle of my stomach, I've had a cancer scare, I only have one ovary, I will need another c-section which will be terrible. What am I thinking?!

star6 · 06/11/2009 08:22

50ft - can you imagine 3 kids over 10? That's always what gets me. I can totally image 3 kids under 4 or 5. I know it would be crazy, but I would totally do it (with c sections or via surrogate or adoption... I would not give birth that many times, no), but I could totally imagine managing that and coping. I'd actually just love it! But once they all got past about 7 or 8... that worries me!! And 3 teenagers... It just keeps getting more trying on your emotions and more expensive, too.
Those who can imagine that, and want it, all the more power to them - that's great
but for me... it's not for me.
I've been indulging in the one-child families threads (just lurking) lately and seeing all of the reasons that having just one is perfectly ok and all of the benefits of it. everyone tells me I'll be letting Q down not having a sibling and I'll be sad about not having another baby...etc. But I'm really fine with 1. Like I said before, I indulged in his babyhood so much. I soaked up every moment I could even with all of the expressing...etc. I think that's what kept me going, just knowing that I needed to enjoy those moments and savour them as they pass so quickly.
And I know if I had another, those moments would pass quickly as well. I love babies and could spend my whole life experiencing the joy of a new baby and the love that they bring. I'm just not prepared for the bigger picture.
