And Moo's saying mamamamamamamama (and we're pretending it's because she knows that it's my name- tho she's then blowing raspberries; but I can pretend they're kisses I suppose)

bebemoo · 06/11/2009 09:28

I just realised I'm going home in 2 weeks Getting to see my family is a positive

Is anyone likely to be doing any Christmas shopping @ Carluccio's? And if so, would you like a voucher thingy for 10% off at one of their Christmas shopping evenings and (more importantly) a free bottle of Sicilian Sicani wine (or £12.95 off any other bottle) 'when you and a friend enjoy a main course each'?

AuldAlliance · 06/11/2009 11:52

Thanks for the robeez tips; have found them on Amazon.fr, but since when did 19 pounds convert as 35 euros? Shurely shome mishtake? Off to check the exchange rate...

AuldAlliance · 06/11/2009 11:55

19 pounds is 21 euros.

I have at last found a use for the "I have nothing to say on this matter" face, but have no square brackets on this strange keyboard at work.

AuldAlliance · 06/11/2009 12:00

ooh but I can buy them from the UK website at UK prices and if I buy two pairs the p&p to France is free. That has to be worth it.

Guimauve · 06/11/2009 12:33

Damn you all, I now desperately want some Robeez
I can't see how I can spend £20 on baby shoes or £35 on lovely baby boots when I need new shoes.

mrsgBANGing · 06/11/2009 12:44

xmas list for sure. if you have many relatives this is a good way of avoiding hundredweight of plastic crap for h

(next yr you will have a lunatic toddler and be delighted with plastic crap probably )

IdontLikeFridays · 06/11/2009 13:04

Oh FFS. I just had to spend pretty much all of Hazel's lunchtime nap in the bathroom with DD1, while she was having an enormous stinky poo. Can anyone tell me why this girl takes half on hour to do a poo?

I really really really hate Fridays.

IdontLikeFridays · 06/11/2009 13:04

Oh and how those of you who've got two or more children full time survive, I don't know.

bebemoo · 06/11/2009 13:35

My question is: how come my husband always manages to give me about 5 things to do to 'help him out' when I have a squirming crying baby to deal with?
And
When I say now is really not a good time, he continues to go on and on about the thing he needs me to do?

dawntigga · 06/11/2009 14:44

Waves to all.

Still lurking, too tired to post, no sleep and DP left at 5am today.

Normal service will resume some time, in the mean time, have a

BoffMonster · 06/11/2009 16:02

My day so far.

4.45 am - Felix wakes us up for a feed.
5.15 am - Put him back to bed after said feed. He cries.
5.20 am - DH goes in there, says night night, Felix very pleased to see him and flaps his arms about enthusiastically. DH comes back to bed.
5.30 am - Felix crying more assertively now, so I go in there, give him another feed, and try to put him back to bed. He is not having any of it so I bring him into bed with us. He grins a lot and chuckles.
5.40 am - He has a third feed and pats me a lot, as if to show his appreciation.
6 ish - Won't settle, so I lie him on my tummy and cuddle him a bit. Felix is then violently and dramatically sick all over me, the bed, my hair etc etc, with appropriate sound effects. He then grins as if to say 'better out than in' or 'that was a good Satursday night out'. He then chats away happily to both of us.
6.05 am - I have to have a bath and wash my hair.
6.30 am - DH and I agree we are rather losing the will to live this morning. We bath Felix as we realise he is also covered in sick.
6.45 am - Other boys get up, the day begins.
8.00 am - I can hardly remember what my own name is so I go back to bed.

Don't you just heart parenthood???

Guimauve · 06/11/2009 16:08

On the plus side, the has lost its eyes.

Bicnod · 06/11/2009 16:49

Boff LOL at F patting you to show his appreciation sorry you had such a crappy night...

Bebe - mamamamamamamma definitely because moo knows your name is mama

Dream cream - thanks for tip whoever it was... am going to get some for O next time I'm in town. Fei - I got the diprobase cream you recommended for him today - fingers crossed it will help.

I took O to Little Dippers for the first time today - he was VERY unsure. He cried more than any of the other babies... even the 8 week old. What a wussy baby I have bred.

bebemoo · 06/11/2009 17:08

I was sure there were eyes...but I didn't want to say; i thought it was my growing insanity

Bicnod · 06/11/2009 17:21

I'm so impressed with Oscar - having refused to allow me to feed him water from the tippy cup he grabbed it himself and downed the lot! My little baby is growing up

IdontLikeFridays · 06/11/2009 17:50

Waaaaaaah! Is this Friday hell never going to end? DD1 has suddenly decided to go back into baby mode and pissed herself 6 times today. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. She then tried to hit Hazel over the head with a heavy wooden duck. I WANT MY FEIERABEND!

Bicnod · 06/11/2009 17:56

Oh no is DD1 ok? And did H survive the duck incident? Not a good Friday then... any news on DH's job or shouldn't I ask?

Beer. That's what you need. Only 1 hour til bedtime and then BEER

IdontLikeFridays · 06/11/2009 18:10

I've already eyed up a bottle of red wine

DD1 is okay but if she keeps annoying me then she won't be for much longer, grrrrrrrrr!

The duck missed H's head, just!

No news I think he's still got his job...

IdontLikeFridays · 06/11/2009 19:25

Well... to top it all off H was overtired so screamed during ALL of bedtime (this only happens on Fridays when we're out and about and she doesn't get a proper afternoon nap ), and then DD1 threw herself backwards when we read her bedtime story on my bed and banged her head against mine so hard that I am now feeling all dizzy and odd. I am thoroughly fed up.

Feierabend · 06/11/2009 19:27

But... it's Feierabend at last, even if I have concussion, and I am going to drown myself in the bath now.

dawntigga · 06/11/2009 19:28

I think 6 months is tough for all of us - to those who are sailing through keep quiet! You are crunchy and go well with ketchup.
