Grrrrr. Am reading an aibu and it's making me very angry. What is it with this 'my baby, my choice' line that people keep quoting? As in 'my 8 year old is still in nappies and it's nobody's business, he's my child so therefore I do what I want with him even if it's completely crazy and will turn him into a total nutter?' Fei - I know what you mean, but, there is a term that I'm not sure I'm understanding correctly...troll. What does that mean?? Does it mean that people are posting things just to get a reaction?? If so, there must be loads..."how long can I keep my child locked in my car?? A friend of mine recently moved to Ethiopia and had a baby there. Baby is now 2 or 3 months old and they have chosen not to have him vaccinated 'because he is so healthy'. WTF? If I posted an AIBU about this because it upsets me on behalf of the little chap, I guarantee there'll be hundreds of posters telling me to back off because it's my friend's choice. Similarly, my cousin has a 2 month old who had such a bad cough that he turned blue. She didn't want to take him to see a doctor and when my aunt insisted and called one and the baby was sent to hospital with bronchitis, my cousin initially didn't want him put on antibiotics. Luckily the docs persuaded her but again - my baby my choice? I don't think so

Thank you - very honoured . Was inspired to join after a rubbish day - got stuck in London traffic for 3 hours with DS crying his head off and me too for a bit... had lunch with my sister who is lovely but baby-free and a bit unaware of how stressful things can be... then noticed a big scary red raw patch of skin on DS's neck - went straight from traffic to doctor, back home and thought.... I need MN! Just suddenly hit me that stresses like this are here to stay. Definitely worth it for the upsides but in a bit of a hmph day... Sorry for unloading, especially to NuttSlasher - I see that you've had a truly awful day so my little gripes must seem pretty insignificant.

oooh can i say i am actually quite excited. that HV came and weighed babies today and not only has ollie caught up weight wise with isabelle he is now 2oz heavier! oh and nearly 2cm taller!!!
