I do wonder how I'll manage with those top ones, the bottoms were so sharp.... and there's nothing to protect my nipples from the top like there (ought to be) on the bottom...

dawntigga · 29/10/2009 21:18

He's been ok - a bit grumpy and waking a little more often but it seems we've got off lightly!

zombieBOO · 29/10/2009 21:19

I wonder if some are hard than others.

zombieBOO · 29/10/2009 21:23

she's up again

kingbeat23 · 29/10/2009 21:33

OOOHHH - Auld i just remembered...i had 2 hand luggage bags too.....1 was the change bag, the other had the baby carrier/sling and a few favourite toys in it. Used the change bag as my hand luggage bag and the 2nd bag was big enough to fit the change bag into (im not sure if this is making sense, but hey ho!) this was just in case anyone was funny about the 1 hand luggage bag rule (which they werent)

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 29/10/2009 21:52

Feier - your biscuit thread made the Hot Threads in the weekly e-mail Does that make you MN royalty?

The worst teeth IME (for both Orbit and DS1) are the top front but strangely, the ones either side of the top front are even worse. Orbit's working on those at the moment

Bebe hope Boo/Moo feels better soon, and Tigga too.

Auld good luck for flights. My top tip is rice cakes for keeping them amused at moments of boredom/frustration and I second the sling.

Off to bed now, hope you all have lovely peaceful nights!

kazkissofdeath · 30/10/2009 08:14

My two are going to be 8 months next thursday and we have no teeth at all, should i be concerned....... (i do think we are teething a bit though although i have though that since they were 3 months old!

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 30/10/2009 08:18

No, don't worry about no teeth. They'll come when they come. We've none either and H has had three visible under his gums since the day he was born!

NuttSlasher · 30/10/2009 08:57

ok so rather than a housefull of children (who i have now cancelled) i will be concentrating on one coughing and vomiting child and one very grouchy teething one, which stangely is more manageable than three bonkers 5 year olds and a 6 month old.

anyhoo....

love n hugs from nutty xx

zombieBOO · 30/10/2009 09:21

Morning everyone.
We got through the night and only woke up once after 11. at 2 for a squawk -but I didn't feed- then up at 6 for our early breakfast (which is an added bonus because we've not slept longer than 3 hours through the night in 3 weeks) I've just given some calpol because the old woman frown was coming back (usually means the gums are bugging her again -i think- that is, as really I know nothing and am only speculating on how to do any of this; amazing babies survive) I'm going to try to stay on top of the calpol ibu regime today, every 3ish hours for one or the other I think, and see if we cannot have a less stressed day. I have so much cleaning to do... I also clean like a mad woman for the weekend but by Monday you cannot tell I've done anything. Rather frustrating considering the only ones to make mess are baby, daddy and mommy, and mommy puts things away and baby doesn't make much but dirty laundry and a few dishes... so that leaves???

kingbeat23 · 30/10/2009 09:46

Morning Ladies and babies!!!

So much for my now-seeming-semi-smug- its all to do with food and milk isnt it about sleep!! Havent a clue now, why is she waking?? 11 for a cry, 4.15 when DP went to work - she thought it was play time, 5.30, 6.30 - at which point i put her in bed. she likes too grab hair...i have quite a bit, theres a winner in this situation and it isnt me!!! Bed, proved to be too much temptation to pull mummys hair and roll about the bed on the covers/under the covers/diagonally frokm one side to the other...so, i apologise in advance, there will be much over-punctuating, little use of the shift button and much typo's today. [tired emoticion]

gingersarah · 30/10/2009 10:11

thanks!

(liking being part of Gui's goading squad)

BEWiTcHEDnod · 30/10/2009 10:29

Bebe - good plan with the calpol/ibu... hope you have a better day.

Nutts - sounds like you'll still have your hands full today... are you ok?

King - I don't reckon food is the magic bullet for sleep... O sometimes sleeps through but mainly doesn't and it never seems to have anything to do with eating/milk drinking. Babies are just wakeful little creatures... presumably they will start enjoying sleeping at some point

Kalikaroo · 30/10/2009 10:32

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been on for MONTHS, but real life got in the way and I had to give up my internet habit for a while. I hope you're all doing well and that the babies are all thriving.

We're doing ok, though A is the Amazing Non-Sleeping Baby these days and I'm up at night about 6 times. He's a lovely smiley little guy though, so it's hard to stay fed-up with him for long! Have to go back to work in a couple of months, which I'm not looking forward to with the severe lack of sleep.

A has started on solid foods and is doing pretty well with them. I'm doing a kind of BLW approach most of the time, which he seems to be taking to with enthusiasm!

Happy Hallowe'en everyone!

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 30/10/2009 11:14

OP posts:
zombieBOO · 30/10/2009 11:17

Hello Kali

BabyBolat · 30/10/2009 11:18

Hello all - hey Kali!

OK seriously how on earth do you cope with the biting? I am tempted just to give up bfing as the pain / bleeding is really starting to get to me!

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 30/10/2009 11:20

So, is the sleeping 7pm to 7am thing a myth???

Dang that real life, Kali, it is such a pain! Though seriously, do you think the fact that I now dream about FanjoWarriors rather than Real People is not a good thing and perhaps a sign that I should get help for my internet habit? Good to hear A is doing well, though I realise with shame that I don't know his name as he is still TBA on the list! Would you prefer not to have it listed?
