Hello

Shorry if I'm hard to undershtand today - DP came back from Shcotland with shome highland toffee, it'sh shtuck my jaws togesher!

Plush shome edinburgh rock, booksh for DS1, whishky (hic!) for him, and yummy Molton Brown eau de toilette for moi. Shometimesh he'sh a good boy

He was most upset though, the security people at the airport took his whisky marmalade off him. Bet they're munching on it right now.

BB I love that cake tin - I think I need one now!

Can't get my head round diamond showers and 75 euro tights. It's all gone weird.

zombieBOO · 29/10/2009 14:02

Ladies... what happened to the pages?
Will try to catch up...if I can even figure out where I am...

zombieBOO · 29/10/2009 14:23

can you remove the first post from the listing? Does anyone know? On my little laptop screen it ends up taking up tons of room and makes it very difficult to scroll down I don't like change today

tristalewjac · 29/10/2009 14:53

Hi gorgeous gorgeous ladies!
I'm back! Well hopefully anyway.
Got myself a new phone with internet so hopefully it'll work.

How is everyone? I've really missed you all.
We're all doing well we're settled into our new house, DS1 is at nursery right across the road and he loves it. Lewin is 6 months now and is such a happy wee thing. He is doing well with weaning. Just started but so far he's eaten whatever I've offered him. Milk wise I'm still feeding him myself which can be very tiring (he still feeds during the night, although it's not from hunger it's comfort) but I'm loving it.
I'm getting used to being a single mummy (that's 6 months now too).
L's dad doesn't see him, unfortunately. There's a horrible battle going on with solicitors. Won't go into it just now it's too depressing.
Don't really know what else to say just now so I'll post this and see if it works
Xxx

tristalewjac · 29/10/2009 14:56

It worked!
No stopping me now x

WhatFreshBLOODIsThis · 29/10/2009 15:12

Woo hoo, welcome back trista! So lovely to hear from you again, glad you're surviving. Boo about L's dad, hope things aren't too awful

Can't even imagine how to tell you everything that's been happening on here, but no doubt Gui (alias Juwesm) will do you one of her famous catch up posts soon.

We missed you!

p.s. you need a hallowe'en name quick smart!

WhatFreshBLOODIsThis · 29/10/2009 15:14

Orbit has been asleep for 2.5 hours....this is unheard of. Have to keep checking he's breathing!

Of course I have used the time to read the paper and MN tidy up and do lots of constructive things.

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 29/10/2009 15:14

So good to hear from you ('tis Juwesm btw!). Glad Lewin is doing well, and sorry things with exP haven't gone smoothly I can't believe he doesn't see him at all. What an arse. Is your new house lovely?

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 29/10/2009 15:17

Wonder if I can conjure the nrg for a catch-up post? Trista will need a massive one...

I have put H into a reusable nappy to see how he likes it. They're quite low-rise. Who else has BumGenius, I have forgotten

OP posts:
Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 29/10/2009 15:27

Bebe, I had a dream about you last night.....

OP posts:
zombieBOO · 29/10/2009 15:46

Was I crying uncontrollably? Or screaming for no reason at all?

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 29/10/2009 15:56

Neither! You were on a bus with Meg. We were coming to visit your house, which was a flat in a university building. We met your DH in the lobby, but there was a big queue for the lifts, so I decided to haul my buggy up the stairs and meet you at yours. There were loads of people sitting and waiting on the stairs; I thought they were just queuing to go through the door at the top, so I sat down too. After a while I noticed a sign saying 'Sit-in practice', realised they were all sitting there for this and there was no queue and faked a coughing fit so that I could sneak through the door to yours. But through the door there was just an enormous locker room with no other way out. I realised I'd have to go back to the stairs, explain to all the people that I was there by mistake and take the buggy back down.....and then I woke up. Very odd.

Lol Well the place would have been messy so good thing you didn't find your way

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 29/10/2009 16:07

Shpooky!!!

OP posts:
zombieBOO · 29/10/2009 16:13

saw that too Gui

zombieBOO · 29/10/2009 16:21

My baby has been crying non-stop for 2.5hrs... can I give ibuprofen with calpol? I'm at my wits end

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 29/10/2009 16:27

Yes, you can give them together. Or alternate the doses - Calpol, then ibu 2hrs later, calpol 2 hrs after that (max 3 doses ibu, 4 doses calpol).

OP posts:
Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 29/10/2009 16:28

Teeth?

OP posts:
zombieBOO · 29/10/2009 16:34

Yes. I'm practically in tears myself

kazkissofdeath · 29/10/2009 16:38

Hiya everyone.

BB thanks for the reassurance re: working. I do love my job (most of the tinme) so i think that will help.

Sawali yey for housey stuff!!!

Boff: thanks for backing me up, has gone strangely quiet over there now!

Hello all prodigal children!!!

Ju: backed you up on other thread (not sure if i was tooo sarcy) donuts...

Ju: are we still on for next tues..... if so do you know any details....

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 29/10/2009 16:52

Kaz - got a reply from friend today and she is sadly fully booked. I do believe she will be doing more sessions (I think another in Dec, presumably down here), but I think she will also do one-to-one sessions at home. I may get her to do one so DH can learn. I'll ask her about prices and so on - plus, you could have a massage afterwards too!

You were much more sarcy on that thread than I dared to be!

Bebe - have some Calpol yourself. What about having a nice soothing bath together? Is your DH home tonight?

OP posts:
zombieBOO · 29/10/2009 17:06

Unfortunately Dh is not home tonight. I don't find baths very comfortable since the pregnancy .hate seeing myself. But I just gave Meg another and have her cwtched in my lap with her fuzzy peek a boo mouse which she loves. She's just whimpering now Poor thing. She's due a feed in 45min if she's not (please please please) asleep before that.

zombieBOO · 29/10/2009 17:29

sigh she's asleep and in her bed...
Suddenly the house seems very very quiet...

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 29/10/2009 17:36

Oh bless her. Hopefully a bit of sleep will work wonders. Now go and get yourself something nice to eat and drink. My DH is home, but he might as well be in Croydon, as he's been in the loo playing on his effing iPhone for the 35 minutes since he arrived.
