night night

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 27/10/2009 22:33

Hurrah for winning the point!
Goodnight, goodnight, parting is such sweet sorrow that I shall say goodnight 'til it be morrow. Or words to that effect.

Julius Seizure, I came, I saw, I had a fit

What is a terminal illness

A. When you are sick at the airport

Q. Use the word 'judicious' in a sentence to show you understand its meaning

A. Hands that judicious can be soft as your face. (OMG) with mild green fairy liquid

PMSL!!!!!!!!!!

kingbeat23 · 28/10/2009 09:33

what a nice thread this is, lovely people...i now check this befor my emails!!!

AuldAlliance · 28/10/2009 09:47

Morning all!

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 28/10/2009 09:49

I had a good old roffle at 'hands that judicious', tried to explain it to DH, who looked blank, and then proceeded to roffle himself silly at it when he actually read it!

< Majicks the verb 'to roffle' into the OED>

Glad you like it King! We are lovely, though we mostly talk gibberish!

I have just spent a happy 20 minutes organising all my favourites into neat little folders, sub-folders, and sub-sub-folders [hgeek]

So, Bicnod, Auld, did you get anything nice for your birthdays?

H has just eaten a good amount of porridge and I think, I think, he slept through from around 11pm to 5.30am, though by my lopsidedness I suspect he may have helped himself to some milk in the night! Am trying to be relaxed about him not eating overnight.

OP posts:
Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 28/10/2009 09:54

He he! Further roffling (which I think should mean chuckling, really, rather than actually ROFL) at Auld stalking BA! She is rather fascinating. I'm just sad that Xenia had left before I arrived - I get the impression she was cast in a similar mould?

(Now, is that the correct 'mould'? I felt it should be 'mold', then thought that was a US spelling, but Mac is spellchecking it, and it checks in US English. Hmmmm.)

Well, Gui, since you ask, I got a very nice new bike. Unfortunately, things being what they are, I have only ridden it 500m to the baker's on Sunday morning, but it is a dream. My old bike felt as if you were dragging it along the road beneath you. The new one felt as if it was racing along all by itself and I was pedalling idly to keep up.
I have, however, given up on my plans to have A in a seat on the back and DS1 on a trailer bike thing behind mine. Their combined weight would be almost half of mine .
I had some foodie question to ask you t'other day, and have forgotten it.
Will pop back after more arsing about on MN chores and work.

AuldAlliance · 28/10/2009 09:59

Gui, mold is American. Both for things used for shaping and for the mildew and mushroom variety.

I have learnt that BA spends 75 euros on tights.
Thus confirming that she lives on an entirely other planet from most people in France.

I am going to stop now and do some work. Honest.

zombieBOO · 28/10/2009 10:04

'mold is American' Well I never! As an American I can tell you that since mold is ucky it must have been brought to the New World from the old, imposed on us by the tyrannical, domineering men that ruled the world only for personal gain... OH you meant the spelling

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 28/10/2009 10:19

at Mayflower mould!
Wonder why Mac doesn't like mold? Perhaps it is checking in English English.

Realise realize - hmm, it appears happy with both of those. Strange computer.

A new bike - how lovely! And at 75euros on tights! Per pair? Cripes even Wolford woolies are only around £20, and I don't think the posh sheers like Dior and so on are anywhere near that much! They must be handwoven silk.

Feierabend · 28/10/2009 10:20

75 Euros on ONE pair of tights!

Well must go have some food before we head off to rhyme time at the local library. TBH don't feel like singing this morning, and they always sing different versions of the songs to what I am used to but a friend is going so I feel like I have to as well.

My mum has bought the girls nursery bags with their names sewn on, she just showed me on the video chat, so cute! I want one!

kingbeat23 · 28/10/2009 10:25

75 Euros on tights??? For that money i really hope they are made of silk and the worms are makingit themsaleves!!! !!

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 28/10/2009 14:19

Everyone has clearly died from shock at BA's 75 euro hosiery!

OP posts:
Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 28/10/2009 14:20

H is foaming at the mouth.

OP posts:

Rabies Gui?

Aaargh. Someone make this child of mine eat, and sleep, because I am starting to lose it

kingbeat23 · 28/10/2009 14:28

i was so shocked i needed to go out and do some shopping of my own!!!!

hope H is only foaming at the mouth from BA 75e shock and nothing else!!

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 28/10/2009 14:35

Could be rabies. Could be stocking-shock

Hello all

Wow what a week - can you have maternity leave after you have gone back to work

I cannot possibly catch up but a few things I have seen and remembered:

Kaz - You will never ever get rid of the guilt of leaving them for work, there is nothing worse than leaving in the morning, however, you have to balance that with the guilt of not being able to provide them with what they need if you work for financial reasons or an unhappy mummy if you genuinely enjoy work. BUT having said that there is nothing better than coming home and the smile you get! K always crawls over and climbs up, bangs my boobs and then gives me one of his raspberry kisses and then proceeds to demonstrate his new skill / naughtiness of the day. Yesterday he demonstrated how he can push the walker and walk behind it - well when I say walk its more like lunging forward and then scrabbling to keep up!

Swali, sorry about the house, fingers crossed it all comes through soon and you can be in your new house and settled for Christmas! which is 8 weeks away!! woohoo - love Christmas

Gui love cold chinese!

Hello oldies, glad everyone is getting on well!

Hey King - My DS was also born on 04.04 at 4 o'clock no less and he is a terror!

Right think I have caught up!

Does anyone know where I can get stockings with names on?

kingbeat23 · 28/10/2009 14:43

Stocking shock.... sounds like a headline from the daily star....are you a tabloid reporter?

Swaliswan · 28/10/2009 16:00

We've exchanged contracts!

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 28/10/2009 16:02

Yay Swali!!!!!

OP posts:
Feierabend · 28/10/2009 16:18

Hooray Swali!

Meant to say earlier, WFH I am sending you lots of virtual Snickers. Be strong xxx

BoffMonster · 28/10/2009 16:53

Yay, Swali!

I had eight hours of sleep last night (by going to bed at 9) so feeling more human today, and only half a small bar of chocolate consumed.

I have a new crown on one of my teeth courtesy of the NHS and free because of postnatal state, and a new laptop at work because the old one was too heavy for me. Things are going quite well. I am about to slope off a bit early.

Kazkiss, I backed you up on that other thread.

Auld, we should buy these £199 tights to beat BA. But they are not very BCBG IMO. Do you think she is really BCBG or just pretending? [mischievous emoticon]
