Swaliswan · 27/10/2009 13:24

Whoops! Has that gone a bit wrong on everyone else's screens too?

zombieBOO · 27/10/2009 13:30

We've definitely got teething here again.
Top teeth coming through and so the gum looking all inflamed Poor baba

Feierabend · 27/10/2009 13:39

Oh Swali, stressful times but try to look forward to when you've moved and are in your lovely new house.

H isn't that interested in food - depending on what's on offer, she'll have 5-10 teaspoonfuls, half of which ends up on her bib / sleeve / in her hair.

Must go change nappy but will try to look at your sleeping thread later, Swali. x

Feierabend · 27/10/2009 13:40

We're talking tiny spoons here of course - I use those shallow weaning spoons and only load the tip really.

BEWiTcHEDnod · 27/10/2009 15:27

Oh Swali - you poor thing... moving house is stressful enough but moving house with a baby must be a bloody nightmare.

Bebe - poor Moo. I think O is teething again - very fretful this afternoon little monkey.

On the subject of weaning - O was really good and ate everything I gave him. At the moment he is only eating maybe 3 or 4 mouthfuls of puree and a bit of soggy finger food at each meal. He is really into his milk at the moment. Refused dinner yesterday and had milk instead. Don't know what to do about it really - I want to wean him off me, not give him more! Trying not to get stressed about it but keep fast-forwarding to 5 months time and panicking that he'll still me on mummy milk by the time I have to go back to work.

Still won't take bloody formula. ARgh.

BoffMonster · 27/10/2009 16:15

Hello again

Had two snickers bars, some soggy chow mein and a cuppa tea and feeling a bit less knackered now.

Just pumping and then off home early.

Felix's sleep is all over the place - I am having feed him at 4am. Anyone else?

Swaliswan · 27/10/2009 16:19

Boff, if it makes you feel any better, B was up at 11:30, 02:30, 03:30, 04:15 and 06:15 last night

BoffMonster · 27/10/2009 16:26

omg!

kazkissofdeath · 27/10/2009 16:43

we haave no teeth here at all yet!

I had very nice breaded fish. and and nice spaghetti bolognase.

oooh and roast lamb.

v v vnice.

Bicnod : so not my area of expertise but someone sugessted to someone i know to mix some ebm with some formula? would that help?

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 27/10/2009 16:45

Cor, I could murder some soggy chow mein.

Have been all over the boards stalking April Mums like a crazy loon

kazkissofdeath · 27/10/2009 16:51

ooooh chow mein me want some now.... (just realised that i sounded like i was trying to do a chinese accent.. lol)

Feierabend · 27/10/2009 16:59

TWO Snickers?

But then my diet today has consisted of a cheese&ham panini, biscuits, and I will have a pizza later...

Hazel being grumpy! She is NEVER grumpy!? If it was still light I'd take her for a walk

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 27/10/2009 16:59

AIBU to think cold, leftover Chinese takeaway is tastier than the hot, fresh stuff?

OP posts:
kazkissofdeath · 27/10/2009 17:00

cold pizza is better. oooh and leftover next day lasagne (warm though)

Feierabend · 27/10/2009 17:08

Cold pizza for breakfast even. Yum. Lasagne and bolognese are always better the next day. As is sauerkraut

Feierabend · 27/10/2009 17:08

Just caught H trying to eat my new boots!

BEWiTcHEDnod · 27/10/2009 17:16

Fei - Oscar is being grumpy too - I think its teething as he's chewing EVERYTHING.

LOL at H eating your new boots - nothing is safe!

Kaz - that might be worth a try. The thought of expressing makes me want to cry though - I was always really crap at it.

So my son turns his nose up at any homecooked pureed vegetable combo I offer him, but will happily eat a jar of hipp organic vegetable smush

Don't know what to do about this. Do you think its the texture? Maybe I'm not pureeing them enough - but the weaning woman said we should move onto lumps ASAP. And he'll happily munch on a rice cake/steamed carrot baton/toast so its not like he can't chew.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRgh. I love him with all my heart but he's driving me nuts today.

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 27/10/2009 17:33

Have you tasted the HiPP stuff? Maybe it's much sweeter or summink?

OP posts:
BEWiTcHEDnod · 27/10/2009 17:35

I checked the ingredients and nothing but veggies and a bit of milk/cream... no added sugar/apple juice etc

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 27/10/2009 17:38

Go on, have a tasty, see what's so special...

OP posts:
Reallytired · 27/10/2009 17:50

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa,

I read your message. Sorry I have posted recently I've been busy. dd has been growing up so fast.

I think my daughter will eat boots given a chance! DD is certainly getting into her food. We are doing a mixture of baby led and purees. dd probably be interested in cold chinese food as well.

BEWiTcHEDnod · 27/10/2009 18:09

Gui I tasted it and its not all that. Not as nice as mummy's yummy veggies IMHO.

Arse.

My child doesn't want to be healthy.

What do I do? Keep giving him jars? He'll eat fruit but that's because its sweet. Do I offer him fruit if he refuses veggies?

Oh its such a minefield.

BEWiTcHEDnod · 27/10/2009 18:15
kingbeat23 · 27/10/2009 18:45

ahhhhh, thank god everyone else is having the same weaning problems. started on pureed veg...she turned her nose up....but...ellas, hipp and plum are going down a treat.

she would noy breast feed and hates being in that position even now, doesnt really like formula either....solids on the other hand.

I have done....
milk
brekkie stage 1 hipp - 1/2 jar
nap
milk
1/2 stage 1 ellas or plum
nap
milk
1/2 stage 2 ellas
nap
milk
fight to get to sleep
sleep by 9 -9.30 wake a few times in the night coz shes wedged in the corner

today have managed:

milk 9
1/2 brekkie stage 2 jar hipp 10.30
nap12.30
1 packet plum stage 1.30
milk2.30
nap 4.00
1 pot stage 2 organix spag bol and pasta 6.00
and hopefully will have milk at end of night around 8 - 8.30....

this is a very good day and not usual at all, yes, i know, i will more than likely be shot for using packets etc, but for me its more about getting her used to tastes and textures and eating more than anything else...i have been beating myself up about her eating habits and felt so awful for ages, that i think, blow it, as long as shes happy and eating for now surely thats enough??

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 27/10/2009 19:07

Hey Reallytired!! No pressure to post, we just thought that as it's our sort of 6-month anniversary (give or take a few weeks!), it would be good to try and track everyone down and see how they're getting on. You're right, they are growing up fast, it's incredible how quickly time is passing!
