I think if pork was a no-no, we'd all be 'aware' of it, like honey and whole nuts.

zombieBOO · 27/10/2009 10:50

My skin's been very 'rough'lately going through another teeniebopper phase too

kingbeat23 · 27/10/2009 11:14

I was "told" by the books that it was too salty, but cool, i'll give it a go then!! and yeah, hair and skin going through a mad phase at the mo...didnt have spots as a teenager, now though?? and if i didnt already have mad, super curly hair when i wash it, i could knit a jumper with the hair thats fallen out...but then where there is hair where you DONT want it,another story altogether!! (sorry if thats tmi!! )

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 27/10/2009 11:18

Hmmm, many pork products very salty, but wouldn't have thought plain old pork was especially high in sodium

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 27/10/2009 11:25

A brief browse of the t'interweb has produced a suggestion that 1lb pork tenderloin will contain approx 0.75g salt. Obviously no idea how trustworthy that is!

Also this about pork being injected with salt solution. So perhaps nice butchers pork, not supermarket stuff (though presumably the latter will at least have salt content on the label!).

I need chocolate, sleep and money in that order.

I am off to get some chocolate.

I cried in a meeting today. I am knackered.

zombieBOO · 27/10/2009 11:43

Aww Boff Give yourself a hug and snuggle down in bed as soon as possible.

BEWiTcHEDnod · 27/10/2009 11:56

Oh Boff you poor thing - are you still expressing for all F's feeds? That must be so knackering at the same time as working and looking after the rest of your brood - I honestly don't know how you do it all.

kingbeat23 · 27/10/2009 11:58

thanks Gui, kind of what i thought anyhow, cooked some pork from tescos yesterday and the amount of water that came out was unbelievable...

Boff - here are is a big bar of galaxy with a hot chocolate with marshmallows floating in it

zombieBOO · 27/10/2009 11:58

I've got cheese cake Boff...

zombieBOO · 27/10/2009 12:00

Has anyone picked up the 6m bounty pack?

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 27/10/2009 12:05

Give up work for today, Boffster. Go home sick and get some sleep.

OP posts:
kazkissofdeath · 27/10/2009 12:20

oooh boff hugs!!!!! I agree go home and be a 'kept woman'

We just went for our nursery induction and i feel SOOOOOO much better now. I am actually quite excited for the babies as i think they are gonna have a lot of fun! (so much so i actually asked if i could come and play and have lunch as the menu looked really nice!)

The staff seem lovely and sooo well organised too. ooh feel all relived. I want to go out somewhere this afternoon. Where shall i go!????

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 27/10/2009 12:34

What was for lunch at nursery?

OP posts:
Swaliswan · 27/10/2009 12:38

Afternoon all. Sorry that I haven't caught up yet. It's been extremely stressful here. We were supposed to move house on friday but we still haven't exchanged contracts yet At the rate things are going, we are going to be homeless

Anyway, take my mind off of that crap, please! I know that we shouldn't compare babies but humour me. How much does your LO eat? B has a very small appetite compared to her big sister but she was a pig and ate two weetabix for breakfast at this age. So, what is 'normal' for your baby? oh, and have a look over here if you want to commiserate with me about how bad B's sleep is at the moment. I thought that it was supposed to get better when you put them down awake and stop them from kicking their covers off by giving them a grobag

Swaliswan · 27/10/2009 12:39

I need smiley therapy

kazkissofdeath · 27/10/2009 12:42

various : chocolate sponge and custard, cauliflower cheese, spag bol.... ( i think they must get it from our kitchens/canteen)

swali: house moving is soooooo stressful, just try and think in a few weeks time you will be sitting in your new place thinking ahhhhhh...... big happy sigh...

izzie appetite is MUCH smaller than Ollies, He can demolise a whole bowl of food wheras she will just take a couple of mouthfulls.

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 27/10/2009 12:43

Gui, you have cheered me up!

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 27/10/2009 12:45

Oh Lord, if they feed the babies food from the canteen I'm soooo going to send food in! Jeepers, I may be being a bit pfb but it is so far from healthy!

OP posts:
Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 27/10/2009 12:45

Just doing my job ma'am!

OP posts:
Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 27/10/2009 12:46

I think his days off have reset H's appetite. He wasn't interested in porridge this morning. That may be because I put plum in it, not mango!

OP posts:
kazkissofdeath · 27/10/2009 13:13

haha the menu did look nicer though!!! Will have to investigate. They were having food didnt look too nasty. I do think the kitchen food is better than what they feed us. Using when i was in pearl as an example.

Guimuahahahahahaaaaaaa · 27/10/2009 13:19

Ah, yes, see what you mean. The patients' food, not the staff food!!

When you were in, was your 'evening meal' a sandwich? I was most unimpressed by that, I can tell you!

OP posts:
Swaliswan · 27/10/2009 13:23

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Why can't people just be civil when moving house? Why does life have to be made difficult by these people?
