A homage to the Nightmare Before Christmas song. DH obsessed with that film, we all (DD included) have to watch it on Christmas Eve.

Th ewhole leaky gut thing is very interesting and very scary too isn't it? I can't think about it as I will get MMR wibbles, especially as H has the whole dairy thing going on. I think we will delay it you know.

I bet he has an excellent diet, that will now be truly stellar without the gluten. DD2 is nearly almost gluten free, so I'm not surprised to learn how it crops up everywhere. Where I live eating out would be truly a nightmare. I get funny looks asking for decaff so gluten and dairy free would be totally

Not scared Dog . I Wondered if you had a new gardener called Hores, a spanish stallion that you were riding hard

OOOOO matron!!

LADIES! You are making me blush! See!

Dog, my little pumpkin eater, you aren't about very much these days. It has been very quiet around here recently.

I have read but have also drunk wine so can't be completely sure that I'm not about to type some completely irrelevant pile of erm... how can I put it politely... shite.

Stripey - I hope you get the answer you want, I feel like it would be cruel for him to say no in many ways. I totally understand your desire to do it all again, but if it is any consolation (which I know it won't be) I can assure you that C would be no worse off for not having a sibling. DH is an only child and in many ways I think it spared much of the pain of childhood. I do think siblings soften the pains of adulthood though. Can I recap - I've had wine. Please discount all or most of the above.

MissJ - I wished we were all closer too. Thank you for your kind words on DD. It is lovely to think she is not so bad. I love her to pieces whatever, she is my darling little girl. If you are ever up North, you are more than welcome to stop in.

Talking of meet ups - I'm going to Cornwall in May and am going to see the gorgeous Dog and her trio of beautiful children - anyone fancy a Southwest meet up? Come on campers, it'll be fun!!

Right, best go, need sleep and water to try and avoid hangover and alcoholic breastmilk

I live in awe of your diets, I feed my lot stew and hope for the best.

If it helps Tree, I don't think ds1's problems started with his MMR. He was a very unusual baby, but being my first, I didn't know any better and thought his behaviour was normal.

Its only since having ds2 and particularly dd that I can see how unusual his behaviour as a baby was.

Ah Dog, I spied your tiddly thread. Thought you may have had a small sip (or two). (Your typing gives it away every time! )

moosemama · 31/10/2009 23:02

Hey Lenni, our diet's not that great. My boys had scrambled egg, gluten free tinned spaghetti and smiley faces for tea yesterday!

Then someone told me that the coatings on oven chips aren't gluten free, but I have checked carefully and honestly can't find anything in the smiley faces that would contain gluten.

Just asked dh if we could camp in May - he went like this ...

Plenty of time to win him round yet though.

Am going to have to sign off now. Totally knackered as up till 2.00 this morning protecting the dog from scarey fireworks and dd is not sleeping well at all with her teeth at the moment.

Enjoy what's left of Halloween.

Scotia · 31/10/2009 23:21

Just popping in to say hi. I've not been a very good cotributor to the threads as they were just moving too fast for me to keep up

Hope everyone is ok, I've lost some of my facebook friends so if I've disappeared from your friends, feel free to add me again - I've no idea how it happened.

Kerr is over 9 months now and coming on a treat. He has been walking for nearly a month already! He took his first independent steps at 8 months & 15 days, and I have to say I couldn't believe it. Now he's walking most of the time.

He still doesn't sleep all night (nowhere near it) and I'm still bf a couple of times at night as well as about 4 daytime feeds. We're just starting to cut down a bit in the daytime though.

He's not overly fond of solid food, but he does try a bit now. He's about 20lbs though, so hardly fading away to a shadow yet.

He's had a bit of fun today with his big brother, the 2 of them dressed up for Halloween and performing for their grandparents Whatever Ross does, Kerr wants to be there joining in. It's funny to watch their little characters developping all the time. I can't believe my last baby is so grown up already and

treedeLivingDeadery · 31/10/2009 23:22

Was Jessie your sister Dog?

I got sidetracked looking at old pics of dd1 on the puter. She was a lovely thing, but looked stressed and worried in lots of photo's. I looked thin.

I have to say I would rather be my 2nd than my 1st child. I really think we mithered her to death you know. Poor lamb, no wonder she is how she is.

Stripster - dh and I are only's. We are nutters ok on the whole We will both find having 3 2 hard though, as we grew up and enjoy quiet houses. Oh dear!

May sounds good

Night all!!

I need to join you in shrinking. Looking at the last few years has made me see I can be thin. If I remember it took 2 weeks on 1000cal a day then 3 months on 1500 a day. God I was hungry.

Sorry to hear of Jessie dog.

But wow at your shrinkage. Well done Mrs. Right, def off to bed now.....

no late nighters? just in from pub...

lenni and tree, dp is an only and i am one of six, so we have a range of experience... she seems such a sociable little girl that we both think a sibling would be good for her, though obviously if it doesn't work out that way it will be fine. i am very clear on the downsides of siblings and dp brings insight on the lack thereof - on balance, we think one more, not five more . but it is obviously up to c's dad, whether he wants to do it again - i could certainly understand him not wanting to. in any case, i am of an age where there's no certainty that it would work out. we will see what he decides, no word yet, but we mailed in order to not put him on the spot, so can't be impatient about it yet...

scotia, amazing at kerr walking! c is not quite crawling yet - though you can't actaully take your eye off her, since by some combination of wriggling and bum shuffling and getting on her hands and knees, she does manage to traverse the room, finding all things dirty and dangerous along the way...

dog, wow on the weight loss, keep meaning to say. am so sorry aobut your sister, and can understand reluctance about the shots - dsis finally had niece done last week, at sixteen months - a combination of ongoing colds and their nervousness because her dh's brother had a terrible reaction to mmr, took i think a couple of years to get over it. so far so good on the reaction front. i am quite traumatised every time c is vaccinated - i hate the terrible betrayed expression...

god, i've got to go to bed, c will will be up long before i am able to cope... see you all tomorrow

tinkisthrillerthrillernight · 01/11/2009 10:12
