Hi, Welcome to the new thread, the one where we can't drink a cup of tea in peace (there you go, we could have used that for a title!!)

I was in bodyshop yesterday and M trashed the place. Luckily the sales assistant thought she was sweet as she pulled things off displays and legged it out the shop with jars of body butter (several times)!!, cue me legging it after her with a handful of makeup . Luckily there were no store detectives aroud. She also tried to wear every shoe within her reach at the shoe shop.

OP posts:

I ve Just eaten a bacon buttie
I went to the fracture clinic this morning and have been told another 2-4 weeks in pop. Then I will need to rebuild my strength in it before I drive. Doh! Christmasssssssssssssss.
OOOPs about the car. Nightmare. This thread is like a soap opera really. x

eandz · 23/11/2009 14:12

hmm.. i just had the worst chicken broccoli ever. i regret the day i ever bought pots and pans.

what exactly is a butty? i've heard soo much about them.

DebiTheScot · 23/11/2009 14:29

at the car stories!

And lol at your lunch eandz, how was it?

that you're completed Kagey, good luck with the move. Just me to go now.

Just spoken to someone at solicitors who reckons we should exchange by the end of the month, woohoo.
Fingers crossed our buyers don't cause any more problems as they've asked us to pay for work to be done that in our opinion doesn't need done and we've said no. If they threaten to pull out though we'll pay it. They are Nepalise and their English is very weak so we think they've misinterpreted something in the survey. Annoying but hopefully not a major problem.

DS1 is watching the Children in Need dvd for the millionth time, I constantly have Ji-ho in my head from it.

mamamuffin · 23/11/2009 15:04

Great news debi my fingers are crossed for you.
Lol "Whats a butty?" Its nothing special eandz just another name for a sandwhich I suppose! Bread butter and some filling. You must think we are mad! xx

mamamuffin · 23/11/2009 16:00

Dupey dopey do do do . Bored!!!!!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 23/11/2009 16:02

lol at I regret the day I bought pots and pans! I feel like that a lot of the time too. I did think about going on some sort of cookery course but then decided that if I went on that I wouldn't have a reason for making something that tasted like shit!

I think I saw that Children in Need thing this morning. Is it the one with lots of childrens tv people in?

Good luck with all of the house moves that are imminent.

notcitrus · 23/11/2009 19:13

Debs I think there's just loads of lurgy going round at the moment, especially in crowded cities where people dry out their airways with central heating and travel all over the country swapping germs. The toddlers and preschoolers at nursery seem to be getting just as much as the babies (although when babies start they seem to have sniffle for a few months so I hope A will finish soon!), which would suggest it's not related much to jabs? Actually there was a notice on the door of nursery this evening as a child has been diagnosed with proper swine flu again, so I'm glad A's been jabbed already (although it may not have kicked in yet).

Good luck to everyone trying to buy houses! I swear I'm staying put for at least the next decade and even all the grief of no roof for months and all was better than buying the place...

DebiTheScot · 23/11/2009 19:57

ILTMIMI yes that's the song/video. It's very cool but very annoyingly catchy.

mama I would descibe a butty as a roll, not a sandwich, must be one of those words that means different things depending on where you're from.
Whatever it is though, a bacon butty is delicious

doh, I obviously posted without hitting refresh earlier. Hope you got a better tea/dinner/supper/evening meal Eandz

Do you need cream of tartar for play-doh, or for a muffin recipe? If for a muffin recipe I can give you alternative recipe which doesn't need it.

Muffin tins are everywhere. They usually have six holes in. Where have you tried? Also don't forget to use muffin paper cases.

Hi everyone I haven't been on here for ages but I just thought I would nip on and tell everyone we have another little girl due in march!

Hope everyone is ok and all your little ones are causing as much trouble having as much fun as out little Phoebe is... We have just tried to move her into her brothers room (we put her bed in there yeaterday) and she was back in our bed before midnight, she came toddling across the landing shouting mummmmmm dadadada.

I will have a quick scan through the thread and try to catch up.

eandz · 24/11/2009 13:37

my lunch was horrible, and my dinner was even worse. although dinner wasn't bad because of me. i went to see the atp tennis tournament and the food there was horrific.

i'm contemplating if i should go out today as N has successfully had some sort of meal, been changed and is now napping...and my hair is done. so i'd just have to throw on some clothes wrap up baby, stick him in a stroller and go...

but i'm kinda enjoying just sitting here.

Debs75 · 24/11/2009 13:48

Bogie congratulations

Starlight Try asda for muffin silicone cases. You don't need a muffin tray you can just use a normal baking tray. Or Morrisons for a silicone muffin tray. HTH

Eandz I've mafde that mistake before and had to eat horrid meals as I don't want to waste the leftovers.

Got ourselves a tiny little Peugeot whilst the tank is being fixed, haven't heard anything yet so hoping it isn't a writeoff and we can have it back soon.

eandz · 24/11/2009 16:17

ooh forgot!

congratulations Bogie !

we've been thinking of trying for number 2, but we've had a few hang ups lately.

although, we have come up with a great middle name for if we have a boy next time. ready for it? the middle name we want is Balthazar.

becaroo · 24/11/2009 18:06

Hi all.

Ended up at A&E with Toby yesterday He became very poorly yesterday morning (after perking up we thought the night before) Anyway, when we got there his blood sugar was dangerously low (if it had been .01 lower they would have had to admit him!) Got some more dioralyte down him and they let us home after what seemed an age.

Sadly for me, I came down with it on sunday night so was sitting in A&E desperately trying not the throw up or breathe on anyone!!! I think the doc was more worried about me I did look pretty bad.

He seems a bit better today but I am not counting my chickesn as I had said that for the last 2 days and then the next day he is worse than ever. He has lost loads of weight - has gone down 2 whole centiles on his chart

He hs had lots of dioralyte today and 2 couple of biscuits and hasnt been sick yet but has still got diahorrea.

Did one of you say that your LO had this recently????? Toby had his mmr 2 weeks ago and although its obviously a nasty bug because I have got it, I am wondering if that has made it worse?

Well, of to bathe the boys....fed up of toby smelling like poo and sick

Love to all x

oh! and congrats bogie!

becaroo · 24/11/2009 18:06

LOVE Balthazar eandz

becaroo · 24/11/2009 18:07

oh fecking feck...another diahorrea nappy...sigh....

Debs75 · 24/11/2009 18:19

Becaroo Robyn was sick for about a week. every morning she brought up her breast milk then for the rest of the day fed and slept. She didn't have any dirty nappies until the day before she got better. If she hadn't of got better taht day we would of been in A&E. Our GP told us she could be like it for 7-10 days.
Hope he is better soon

becaroo · 24/11/2009 18:30

Thanks debs. Is she ok now??

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 24/11/2009 19:13

Oh Becaroo, I hope ds is better soon. Don't let the drop in centiles worry you. He will put weight back on again.

Love the name Balthazar. I have always liked that name. Years ago I had a crush on Balthazar Getty

DebiTheScot · 24/11/2009 19:38

4pm- spoke to estate agent. Buyer had just been in and said everything was fine and they are ready to exchange.

6.30pm- estate agent phones to say buyer pulling out and Mrs Buyer has changed her mind. I say we'll pay for work they want done, Mr Buyer says he'll speak to his wife (he was at work at the time) and let us know a final decision in morning.

7.30pm- check emails. Solicitor has emailed to say she's had the paperwork returned as the buyer has pulled out and did we know this. The email was sent at 4.30pm!!!!!!!!!

What are they playing at???????????
I am and and feel sick.

imoscarsmum · 24/11/2009 20:36

So sorry Debithescot This will pass and it will all work out - just might take a bit of time/stress. Keep breathing!

Meglet · 24/11/2009 21:46

I go away (from MN) for a week and eandz and bogie return!

debi I was wondering about your house move.

Now I have to catch up properly, only skimmed this page. Work / errands & chores are taking up all my time now , life is crazy And XP is ranting about wanting the children to have a paternity test, which is so ridiculous it's funny, I think the CSA have got him and he's throwing his toys out of the pram!
