Hoorya for your cleaner Simpson. I think many people who are not single parents feel exactly the same as you.

What do you think of the Halloween name?

Oh and just been with ds to church as he has preperation ceremony this Sunday as it is his comunion / confirmation this year.
We have a card with his pic in to take to one of the local older parishoners this week to ask them to pray for him. We don't know them the priest has chosen them.
Would you take something round when you visit ?

Report
madmouse · 05/10/2009 23:01

Lily I would take something ver ysmall if at all. Thinking five home made biscuits or 3 flowers - just a gesture. But i don't think it is necessary - it will be appreciated.

We have a number of older church members pray for our Christianity Explored course etc and it makes them feel valued and part of things.

Me awake from 3.30 for no good reason....

H up at 4.30 nodding/banging his head/screaming

T up at 5 'lost his pillow'

T up and wandering from 6-ish.

Always when I have orchestra tonight to try and stay awake through....

Anyway, Lily I have no idea sorry, MM sounds like she knows

Don't the DC mind about the pile in the conservatory? I mean don't they 'reclaim' stuff? If T ever sees anything I'm planning to get rid of, it comes straight back into the fave pile lol

OMG JKS poor you we had a pretty eventful am too. DH woke coughing at 3.30 and woke me up. Just getting back to sleep when George woke crying. No idea why but sat with him for 20 mins or so. He seemed to settle so I crept back to bed. Fell asleep for 10 mins then George started again, didn't want cuddles or strokes or anything fell back to sleep in 10 mins. I went back to bed.
Couldn't find the rain cover for the Quinny this morning. Thought we would use the umbrella buggy but couldnt find the rain cover for that either DH looked in Mothercare for a universal one and it was £35 after going to playgroup we popped to ToysRUs and got the Quinny one for £22. Wgats the betting we will find the old one now

Hi all

Physio says Nathan is now so good at floor sitting she wants him to try bench sitting. So bum on seat, feet on floor and no armrest for balance training.

She tried him on loose armrest of guestroom sofabed and he did really really well.

My dad will be over from Holland next week and I will ask him to make Nathan a small enough wooden bench - he's still such a titch!

dad's really good with wood.

Gingeme -what is it about rain covers?? I could not find my cover for the mclaren this morning either so had to take bigger pushchair on bus

Lilyloo - M teething too and was saying "sore" this eve but when I asked her what was sore she pointed to teeth but said "knee" Maybe they both hurt LOL.

Well M was at pead today which went quite well actually and they do think that very gradually M is becoming less sensitive to dairy as she can now eat pizza ok. But still bad with soya

I also got some more Christmas pressies for Dcs. A Peppa Pig lap top for M and a Dora lap top for J which I know they will love

Evening all

Lilyloo - how awful for all of you and i know that feeling of eyes in your back as life goes into meltdown in front of you! Hope L is recovered, M is in bed and you are ok now? Well done on new buggy, hope M stays strapped in, firmly, lol!

Nicky - hope N is still sleeping well? and C is back on track? Love the getting ready to rumble

Madmouse - love the pic, LaT - you look good with 2

G - can't believe David will be onto French already he's getting older so quickly!

Simps - you doing OK? i had something specific to ask you but i've forgotten it Oh yes, that's great news about the dairy & her eating pizza is soya in much? if she stays sensitive to it can she avoid it easily?

I like the look of the Handy Manny laptop but think that the Vtech one is better? any ideas? for Christmas for T obv.

Madmouse - hope your Dad's visit goes well & he gets a cute bench made for N while he's over

No progress with drugs here lots of phone calls & letters with various people. v draining.
oh and T's testicles haven't descended following his op nearly 2 years ago now. may have to have it redone. ho hum.
more fun and games in hosp...

H v grumpy this afternoon, slept 1.45-3.30/big nods/3.30ish-5/big whinge + some tea/5.30-6.30/milk & bath/7.30-......

Lilyloo - hope you are treating yourself to a glass of winr tonight...Did have to LOL at discription of banana shaped M though, sorry

Well done on buggy bargain!!

JKS - Just what you don't need right now re T being in hosp.

On the lap top front have a look at the Dora one. Its new and just come out, is thirty quid. I was all ready to buy VTech one then discovered Dora!! M's Peppa pig one was twenty quid.

Everything seems to be going wrong in my house all at once

Back door is knackered and has been since we bought house TBH and now seems I need a new door which will cost seven hundred quid!!

On the food front M had yogurt yesterday for pudding at tea and we had one horrific poo today, but only one!!!

She seems ok with pizza I think becuase the amount of cheese is tiny, but if I gave her a lump of cheese there would be trouble iyswim.

Sooo dairy getting better but soya no improvement at all and yes JKS its in everything
