Hotter I thought you had FUN this morning but instead it was really just shreddies. That's what I was laughing about!! Totally in an off-the-wall mood today. Must GET OUT the door though!!!!

have a beautiful day ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hotterpotter · 26/09/2009 13:58

LOLOLOL TS how do you get from shreddies and cheerios to sex . Breakfast time must be exciting in the Surferhouse

VG both mine regurlarly have yoghurt and fruit for lunch as it is a DD favourite. DS used to love ommelette but turns his nose up at it now They also enjoy fish fingers and beans, spaghetti on toast or even jam sandwiches . I figure if they are having a good variety of evening meals then it doesn't really matter if they have limited lunchtime variety, after all so do I (fecking salad)

So 13 October it is, woo hoo We are going here which is apparently a short tram ride from the station. Sorry you can't make it Ann, I understand the money/work/time dilemma very well . Will you be off to the Christmas pissup meet? That sounds like a larf but too dear for me.

Hello everyone, hope hangovers are fading nicely It's a beautiful day here, and DD and I are off out in half an hour to her first nursery-mate's birthday party. Surely 4 is too young for me to be worrying about what to buy for a girl I had never even heard of before Tuesday I got herthis and a sheet of stickers, hope it is not too cheapskatey, but with a card and some wrapping paper there was not much change from a tenner. There'd better be cake for the mummies too

cyteen · 26/09/2009 14:20

VG I often find myself in that same situation re. lunch and also frequently resort to the mighty egg. Today DS had beans and cheese on toast, with a yoghurt, a pear and some melon. In fact, bread products usually feature one way or another He loves crumpets, English muffins with cream cheese, pittas with hummus and grated carrot or mashed avocado with a squeeze of lime, not forgetting mackerel pate of course.

Good luck to DS1's pa, that's a fine thing he's doing My SIL and friends are currently in the throes of the annual 3-legged pub crawl to raise money for the sarcoma charity we set up I would have gone but it is such an almighty piss-up, felt it somehow wasn't appropriate.

alittlebitshy · 26/09/2009 17:27

That tuna pasta bake recipe looks delish. mmm. I do a couple fo variations (cheesy/tomatoey) but her spring onions and the mustard in that look like they'll give it some zing!

Been to bluewater today. with both dc. Met a (childless, helpful) friend. Was ok. v few meltdowns by anyone .

if anyone is interested , i bought:
-wok (ours is losing it's teflon each tiome i use. can't find what we want so got cheap one fromm and s for interim).

-handbag highchair. cheaper version than i intended. yay. tada

  • v thin shrug to go iover the dress miamla helped me choose for a wedding in july. To cover the old shoulders for an octyober wedding. won't do much for warmth but i can pretend it is warmer .

-(i think it is) groovy cardi. fern green colourway

-shower gel [roll n' roll here)

-pjs for ds as fed up of the babygro battle however cute he looks in them.

-pop up laundry basket to put dd's clutter in in her room.

-friend bought me 3 for 2 books as a late b'day pressie.

-dd bought a worst witch book with her money.

alittlebitshy · 26/09/2009 17:40

man THAt was a boring post .

dh not back yet from last night in oxford. i think he is on the tube somehwere between victoria and here. he met a friend (one of ds's godmothers) for lunch, so that was good. I bet he'll be frantic re sermon prep and getting lunch ready for guests tomorrow.

sequinedsteaknife · 26/09/2009 17:51

just reading Albs post I realise that I forgot the mustard in the tuna bake.
You'd think that with tuna and pasta and cheese- three of Izzy's favourite things then she would wolf it down. But no, putting all three together is clearly poisonous. She had cream cheese on bread for supper and carrot cake and orange for lunch.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 26/09/2009 18:10

Hi Ladies.

I went shopping today and guess what I bought???

oopsacoconut · 26/09/2009 18:11

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 26/09/2009 18:18

Lol oops I wish

no I went bra and clothes and shoe shopping and bought NADDA

Was not in the mood inspired.

I had no dcs either and it could have been great.

Tried 16 Bras and none fit wtf....

I am going to have to go to Leeds to my nearest Bravissimo store, I think.

vg what a fab thing ds1 dad is doing. Amazing.
Hope all is well.

Lunch hear varies from dippy egg, Picnic style stuff.
Ds loves bread sticks dipped in Philli.
Cubes of cheese avocado etc... sometimes crisps as a treat.

DD lives on loves Marmite sandwiches or Marmite on toast.
Pasta spirals with tuna.
fruit and yoghurt also.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 26/09/2009 18:21

oops how are you feeling lovey?

steaky so if you were to style me then. If I put up a pic what do I need to wear so you can see my shape properly.
IYKWIM

Shame you can't come to meetup ann but understand why, infact wish everyone could come.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 26/09/2009 18:24

Had a good afternoon with pony today though.

I have done nothing with her yet, as she has been introduced to herd and settled in lovely.

Today I was able to catch her straight away, gave her a good groom and tacked her up.
She was very well behaved.
Hopefully dd will be able to get on her next week.

I am not rushing though, I have made that mistake in the past.
Afterall it is my babies I am putting on her.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 26/09/2009 18:27

Speaking of food, I just came home to an english breakfast.
Was lovely, just what you need after being out all day on the farm.

Can you tell I have had noone, but a pony to talk to all day.

oopsacoconut · 26/09/2009 18:33

I went shopping too and spent 3x my budget on floor tiles for the house. I went in to the shop ahead of DH as he was walking in with DD and he found me looking lovingly stroking floor tiles. DH has been lovley today and as I got up with DD at 5.55 he let me sleep for 2 hours this afternoon and he took DD to the park. DD slept from her 11pm feed until 5.55 so hopefully the nights of dealing with screaming 'up up' at 3am is over.

We went out to dinner last night and had a fab evening until the overwhelming urge to be sick occured at the end of the meal. I spent a while walking back and forward to the loos but managed to keep my dinner.

DD eats a huge amount to pasta either macaroni cheese, tuna pasta bake, meat balls, plain veggie sauce, spag bol, lasagne or just plain with a dollop of boursin cheese. She also love sandwhiches and will eat anything as long as it is between 2 bits of bread. Egg mayo is her favorite. She is not a great egg on it's own fan but will eat spanish omlette or egg and cheesybeans. She loves a selection bowl of avocado, olives, tomato, cheese and banana which she can feed herself for lunch.

No1 - your day sounds great I used to love my pony days but that your couldn't get a bra to fit I think Bravissimo would be a good plan.

Evening

have small bug on lap as her last nap was till 4pm. off to watch strictly now

what time is the northern meet scheduled for?

sequinedsteaknife · 26/09/2009 19:20

My ebay boots arrived today - never worn and perfect fit a lovely red colour too and with fleecy insides. I was so happy and my toes will be cosy all winter.

no1 you would need to wear something close fitting like a vest top and leggings. Something that shows shape and proportion.

sequinedsteaknife · 26/09/2009 19:22

see you on the stirictly sofa sazz mum is out getting a takeaway and wine.

I love my mum!

TwilightSurfer · 26/09/2009 19:28

Oops that's wonderful. Your sickness is coming on strong. Mighty good. Mighty good indeed!!!

ALBS your shopping sounds like mine on a typical day. Very all over the place.

No1 I did that bra shopping spree 3 times before ending up with the ones I have now. I remember all to well the dressing room COVERED in bras and NONE fit properly.

DD1 is a major TUDE today. I think this rainy weather is getting to her. Reese is great. Pilates was WONDERFUL. I've made an incredible lunch and with the leftovers have an awesome soup for dinner on the stove.

alittlebitshy · 26/09/2009 19:29

Loving that site you linked to steaky.

we have a ton of potatoes left over as i had bought some for tonight which we've not eaten as all ate out at lunch, and dh bought a HUGE bag for roast ones tomorrow as was reduced and cheaper than other options. result: lots and lots of potato meals needed for next week. That site looks fabbo.

But anyone with ideas, please tell me

alittlebitshy · 26/09/2009 19:35

no1 of no, what a shame re shopping trip. I sometimes find i build up all sorts of ideas about sans kiddo shopping trips then actually come home disappointed

glad you had good time (and good natter ) with the horsies though

I am a traitor as I'm off to the x-factor sofa. can't manage both so I went for that one
