these but in a cranberry colour that they have discontinued.

Cannot recommend Duo enough if standard boots don't fit your calves.

VG those prices are v similar to the Duo ones, some beautiful boots on there but waaaaay out of my league . Thought I might get these ones as they are quite cheap. One day I will be able to afford expensive things

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 26/09/2009 20:05

Going to keep looking though for a bit.

Off to watch X factor.

hotterpotter · 26/09/2009 20:08

Nice boots No1

I liked these from the Duo site but at £175 I will not be getting them!

hotterpotter · 26/09/2009 20:12

So everyone is either watching crap telly, eating yummy food or spending quality time with DH/Ps

I am sitting listening to DH snore on the sofa while my tummy rumbles for crisps despite having eaten my tea It's a rocking Saturday night in the Hotter house

cyteen · 26/09/2009 20:18

VG Joe has recently taken to that fresh filled pasta, which is v handy for the inspirationless mum. Tonight he had spinach and ricotta filled pasta with cream cheese and pesto, and by the looks of things thoroughly enjoyed it

hotterpotter · 26/09/2009 20:29

That's good BLW food cyteen, doh I never thought of giving them that before! Glad to hear you are getting some pasta in him - is he warming up to other kinds too?

cyteen · 26/09/2009 20:38

Hehe, it was DP that gave it to him last weekend, it never occurred to me He is getting better with pasta, I think - of course he shovels it down at nursery like there's no tomorrow, and he's enjoyed lasagne and macaroni cheese with us. Perhaps he just doesn't like the twisty shapes. I shall have to try him on pasta bake.

sequinedsteaknife · 26/09/2009 21:43

cyteen I find that shape is very important [ooh er missis]

Duo boots, yes pricey, but for me there aren't any other boots that fit my skinny legs - otherwise I just look like I've raided the dressing up box.

sequinedsteaknife · 26/09/2009 21:59

shape of pasta ladies, PASTA

sequinedsteaknife · 26/09/2009 22:52

that echo is hanging around

sequinedsteaknife · 26/09/2009 22:58

so this meet up on the 13th.
clearly it is so you can go and buy my mahoosive birthday present at Meadowhall.
I quite fancy the boy from the Hollister ad.

hotterpotter · 26/09/2009 23:14

Sorry Steaky have been off enjoying the film Volver, and now it's bed time. You can keep that beefy model if you want, I prefer my boys on the skinny side

I am with you on the tricky boots by the way, but from the other side - it's hard to find boots that will zip up over my fat shapely calves without bagging round the ankles and making my legs look mahoooosive

sequinedsteaknife · 26/09/2009 23:19

HP tried skinny boys and look where that got me. I'm only window shopping at the moment anyway. [leery old woman emoticon]

AnnVan · 26/09/2009 23:22

helloo
well Seb eats almost anything. I haven't found many things he won't eat. He does eat a LOT of egg. Boy loves egg though But he also sometimes has baked sweet potato with tuna mayo, egg mayo sandwiches (although he tends to eat the egg may and throw the bread everywhere) and pasta. Give him half a chance and he eats plain butter and plain mayo straight from the jar by the handful I really must learn to put these things out of reach or he'll have sky-high cholestorol by the time he's two
Forgot what else I was going to say/reply to. Ho hum.

TwilightSurfer · 26/09/2009 23:24

DD1 is refusing to eat ANYTHING I make today. Lunch was roast chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes and biscuits (not the uk cookie stuff). Dinner was mexican chicken soup (left over chicken, onions, diced tomatoes, black beans in chicken stock with taco seasoning). You'd have thought I put snails on her plate with fried squid. We (me & DH) are united and sticking to our guns....EAT or GO TO BED HUNGRY. She's in her room now as she understands WE MEAN BUSINESS.

Reese on the other hand had seconds of all the above. So did DH ...& me.

Hotter I thought Shreddies was code for . Wasn't it your dc that walked in on some action only wishing to let you know she wanted shreddies?? Am I loosing my mind? I'm sure that was a topic at some point in our threadness.

I will admit to being one of those having quality time with DH. I actually convinced him to turn the tv off for a little while only to have that bit of niceness come to an end after 8 minutes.....both dcs woke from their nap. Here's hoping his favorite ball team wins tonight after the girls are asleep.....so some celebrate'n can be done.

Wishing all a healthy, happy and restful rest of the weekend.

hotterpotter · 26/09/2009 23:44

Sorry to hear DD1 is being an arse TS . Are you still spoon-feeding DD2? If so do you think that might have something to do with it? I know my DD can get arsey and refuse to eat because she wants me to help her despite he fact she was eating perfectly well since before DS was born, and that he'll happily shovel it in with his bare hands, but she just wants that bit more attention. Kids eh...

Now you mention it I do vaguely remember the shreddies code thing, sadly wasn't me, and no sign of better things to come as when I just mentioned in passing to DH tonight that I still want another baby he totally went off on one and nearly was crying with apparent frustration at my inability to stop going on about it but why should it be up to him to choose? He keeps saying it was me who wanted two and he went along with it but I don't remember him complaining at the time. I'm sure it makes more sense to only have two but but but but I want one more

TwilightSurfer · 26/09/2009 23:48

DD2 "was" spoon fed this evening but only because it was soup. She's a full TWO FISTED eater normally. DD1 is just being DD1 though.

As for your DH, why does he have to know. Mine didn't know any of the times. Mind you I was comfortable that he was comfortable with having them. He just didn't want to "know" our actions were well you know. Keep it fun. Mind your cycle and jump him whenever you like.

Why are ya'll us so late???
