Thought I'd start a new thread as as soon as evie pops we're bound to fill it hugely and some of us have phones to work with!

OP posts:

It's very quiet round here.
Good news Ewe!
That's lovely, pants.
I am regretting sending DS to nursery. We are all ill.

merryberry · 29/09/2009 08:23

gawd, little people bugs, seem very virulent to grown ups IME. still early infections worth it for other nursery benefits. tho if they keep springing tummy bugs you want to wonder about hygiene in the place.

says muggins here, on her first nit warning from ds1's nursery.

Ewe · 29/09/2009 22:09

OH SHIT

Sorry, am a bloody idiot and was posting without thinkin! I will report for deletion!

bumpyandfrumpy · 30/09/2009 07:12

Methinks the coast is clear, anyway...it's awfully dull when you're not a part of it...

Ewe · 30/09/2009 07:55

phew

How are you feeling?

Had my first lecture last night, it was so hard! My brain was really aching when I came out and I have SIX books to read before next week... I am learning to scan read

littleducks · 30/09/2009 08:01

Its so hard isnt it ewe i'm finding it hard to 'do my homework' for my uni course, my first exam is next week and am supposed to be writing first essay

any chance of onne last london meet up before it turns too cold?

we also seem to have been sick endlessly, kids immune system has vanished since croup and its been runny noses and dodgy tummies appearing weekly since mayb i should buy some haliborange after all

FfreckleFface · 30/09/2009 09:34

How is the sickyness at yours, bumpy? It definitely is the right time of year for bugs...I have somehow, despite being twenty frickin seven years old, foun myself with fresher's flu, disease of 18 year oldsters who stay out all night. I can assure you, I have not been up all night!

That's so exciting, Ewe. How many times a week do you have to go in? I feel your pain about it being hard...it's been so long since I've studied my poor brain doesn't know what's hit it. Plus, my undergrad degree was English Lit, so I didn't really need to learn stuff. In Law, I get the impression they like you to memorise most of it... Still, last day til next Tuesday today, then my timetable settles down to just Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I did a full day in lectures and workshops everyday last week, an exam on Saturday, and am on my third full day this week. I am, however, going to have amazing muscles from heaving all these books about...

Merry, any joy with the gp yesterday? Jaw pain sounds hideous, I really hope someone can help you with it.

I'd be up for a London meet. Littleducks, I could also do Henley or maybe Reading if you fancied it?

merryberry · 30/09/2009 09:46

got some help yesterday, classic gp desk stuff

feel fine today. that jaw pain is worth than sodding childbirth. i truly mean it. all sympathy very welcome when i go through it, stops the world being all pain to have someone to chat to. if i WOH i'd still go to work with it TBH!

we're up for meet up. weekend, especially afternoon, would be the dream for me. but other times fine. xfx

Dontpanic · 30/09/2009 13:59

wow, you students!
Don't envy you all the reading/essay stuff, at least my course is mostly practical with apparently a multiple choice exam at the end that trained monkeys could pass...

I struggle to find time to read for pleasure let alone the compulsory stuff...which reminds me, must read 2 bks on childbirth before Nov for my recertificaton on hypnob.

Would love to meet up on a weekend, no idea when though as this month is all hypno course Sats & hypnobirthing Sunday ams At the moment I have sundays free in Nov but then it'll be cold and/or wet!

On t'other hand, anyone around the Oxford area on the Friday b4 halloween? Am there for the weekend doing a course, but free on the Fri 30th...

Dontpanic · 30/09/2009 14:01

Merry, you are my inspiration! Can't remember if I posted this on your blog so apols if i'm repeating myself, how does your stomach cope with the medication, do you have to take things to stop irritation of the gut etc?

bumpyandfrumpy · 30/09/2009 14:10

Merry- I hope all continues upwards for you. You deserve a break, my dear.

DP-You got enough books to read? Have a veritable library of childbirth books now. If you want to borrow, I have to post you a cheque anyway....

Am bored of being pregnant now. Another 7-8 weeks til due date. Sigh.

Dontpanic · 30/09/2009 14:29

Bumpy - have them to read ok, just a case of finding the oomph to do it. Want to finish my Law of Attraction one(s) first, then have Childbirth without fear & Stand and Deliver to plough through!

Cheque? Have i missed something or are you raiding the piggy bank for the hell of it?

merryberry · 30/09/2009 16:00

lol at inspiration, more frustration round here recently! omeprazole is a stomach liner dp. so far it seems my stomach can tolerate most things well, but not NSAIDS or tramadol. i'm quite positive about the drugs. just imagine them doing their job, and my liver busily getting shot of the unused bits, as it were.

although i'd rather eat dung pellets than take sulfazalsine again. miserable drug.

bumpyandfrumpy · 30/09/2009 17:33

DP- For the dogs. Don't do paypal.

Dontpanic · 30/09/2009 20:40

Bumpy - ah! Alles Klar thankyou
Btw, you don't need paypal afaik, but fair enough if you don't do any online payment stuff.

DD was in the wars today . DH turned up at CM to get her and she had scratched herself in her sleep at lunchtime and has a long scratch from the corner of her mouth, nearly to her ear (bad neglectful mummy pinned her down to cut her nails this evening ) to complement the scratch above her mouth from when she fell over yesterday... but the worst thing was that one of the other kids BIT her... she has a bite shaped bruise on her hand. poor little poppet. she didn't seem remotely bothered though.

am feeling a bit like I am on a treadmill but can't get off... up, work, home, bathtime, bedtime, dinner, bed and repeat ad nauseam. even the prospect of it nearly being Christmas isn't lifting my spirits. must be the onset of Autumn. any cute toddler tales to make me chuckle and cheer me up ladies??

bumpyandfrumpy · 01/10/2009 08:52

CM- Did you see this thread?

CricketsMum · 01/10/2009 13:18

yes just had a chuckle at that one - thanks baf.

littleducks · 02/10/2009 16:00

Hello all

DS has been learning a word a day at the moment, todays was (s)tar brought on not by twinkle, twinkle, the bright baby book or even the star lights above his cot but by the milky way magic version

that could be good Ff, dd now does a full day preschool on Fri so it could be just babies?

merryberry · 03/10/2009 10:17
