Tils sorry about the SPD, not fun I'm sureµ... how's your her training going so far today?

Tillyscoutsmum · 01/10/2009 13:35

2 x wee on floor
1 x wee on potty
No poo's yet (which is most unusual for her so she's clearly holding them in)

I never thought I'd be so exciting by a wee in my life

I'm ok so far but think staying in all day will drive us both stir crazy.

MmeJaffaB · 01/10/2009 13:59

Thats great Tils...sounds just about right! You could try a 5 min walk round the block straight after a wee but I wouldn't venture far for the first few days. Don't be tempted to use a pull up if you go out though this can easily confuse her and the whole process will take alot longer. You are doing great!

SKYTVADDICT · 01/10/2009 14:30

Callum has done a wee in the chair - good job we have a new sofa coming.

Positive vibes for your Dsis JAM.

Took DD2 to GP this morning as she has been having tummy pains on and off for 3 weeks. Got really bad last night (the first night DSs both slept through for ages and she didn't!) He hasn't ruled out her appendix as nothing really showed on the urine test but he says it could still be a UTI. We have to watch her closely for signs of her appendix getting worse i.e. temperature, vomiting etc. All good fun with these kids isn't it?

Childminding coming along slowly. Been on a 2 day 1st Aid course and now waiting for DP to decorate so I can send in my Ofsted forms. They apparently come round quite soon after receiving them and my house is not good - not decorated downstairs since I moved in 5 years ago!

Lucy looks gorgeious AM - I don't have a gift yet! We live in a godforsaken backwater in ruralist of lincs and with all the illnesses! Will get onto it soon sorry x

Forgot to say L was at GP Monday with a viral rash and exceedingly sore bottom! Its all go in the sky house!

On the up side C hasn't cried the last two times I left him at playgroup.

largeginandtonic · 01/10/2009 19:44

Oh Jam i am so sorry to hear about dsis. HUGE positive vibes for her. Is she staying while it is checked out? The whole C word scares the bejesus out of me. I really hope she is ok. Amazing what they can do now though. Glad she has you with her

Potty training here agogo. He is fine 90% of the time. The odd poo in pants just to piss me off test my patience...

Sky hope dd is ok. Grumbling appendix not nice.

CM how is dd now?

Tea time in the gin house, adult tea time that is.

OP posts:
Themasterandmargaritas · 02/10/2009 16:07

Oh Jam, how dreadful for you all. I do hope it's positive news.

Sky, how is dd? I had appendicitis at 15, quite unpleasant but I did live to tell the tale....

Trying to get a mortgage sorted at the moment is like getting blood out of a bloody stone. Talk about difficult.

Tills, how's it going? Have you managed to get out of the house yet?

Tillyscoutsmum · 02/10/2009 17:58

Going ok - 1 wee on floor and 3 in the potty today. She was at playschool this morning (and that was where the wee on the floor was). I think she's doing pretty well . Still saving poos for the moment her night time nappy goes on though. We're hoping to break that duck tomorrow

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm off on a spa day and leaving DH to it

elkiedee · 03/10/2009 00:44

Sorry Jam to hear about your sister (I saw that you had horrible news in the threads I'm on which shows the start of the last few posts).

GhostWriter · 04/10/2009 15:53

Jam, . Let us all know.

Have sought rl help about ptsd and feel quite positive.

Part of what drove me from MN is coming to light today. I thought I'd started reading too much into things on here and it had niggled for weeks. I predicted this week's events and thought I was being malicious. Hoped maybe.

It's bloody awful either way. I've come back to see what happens. I want to stay.

MN at its best and worst.

Tillyscoutsmum · 04/10/2009 15:57

Ghost - I've been thinking the same Glad you're getting some rl help - please don't go anywhere .....

On a much less important note - do any of you potty training experts have any advice for getting Til to poo on potty/toilet. She has been brill with wees - no accidents since day 2 - but will not poo. Will it just happen do you think ??

GhostWriter · 04/10/2009 16:10

You can either let it just happen or employ some techniques and it may take the same length of time either way.

M responded very well to tales of how Mr Poo didn't like being squashed in her nappy wanted to ride in her potty and then swim in the loo. Worked a treat. I did despise myself for some time though.

Themasterandmargaritas · 04/10/2009 17:38

I'm glad you have sought some help Ghosty. They always say that is the first step....

Welcome back.

I must say though I am a bit confused about you predicting this week's events and being malicious, did I miss something obvious? Am I being a bit blonde?

Tills, well done little Tills! I'm afraid we are at a poopoo blockade also. It only happens in his pants, still, so I can't offer much advice.

SOH's advice is I think rather marvellous. I seem to remember saying something similar to dd all those years ago, about how the poo wanted to swim down the toilet to the sea.

Mmmmm maybe I'll try that tomorrow with J too.

Themasterandmargaritas · 04/10/2009 17:50

Ah now I am with you. Yes I had been following that one situation too but felt a bit uncomfortable to post, on any of her threads. Call it instinct. It is easy to forget that not everyoneon here may have honourable intentions.

JamInMyWellies · 04/10/2009 19:41

SOH lovey I am so so glad you are getting some help. Welcome back to the fold. Dont care if they are banned (((hugs)))

If you are talking about the threads I think you are I am assuming she has been outed as a troll so upsetting to behave that way.

Had a fabbo wkend the outlaws babysat and were our taxi, John and I went out for a posh dinner to celebrate him being an old man now. We drank 2 bottles of champagne and ate a lovley dinner. Then today went to a garden center (I know rock n roll) and they were getting out their Christmas displays out I was ridiculousley excited about Chrimbo.

Oh and have gone proper short now its about TMAM length at the back with a sort of longish fringe so I can still hide behind it.

Tillyscoutsmum · 04/10/2009 21:45

Thanks for the advice - will see how we go tomorrow (first trip out then as well )

Jam - glad you had a good night out - sounds fab

Soooo ladies - can I have your thoughts on names for baby boy ??

Rudy (probably Rudyard rather than Rudolph)
Gilbert
Fergus

Be as harsh as you like

AprilMeadow · 04/10/2009 21:54

OOh i like Fergus! Ella has a friend at nursery called Fergus and he is a real sweetie.

Glad you are staying with us SOH xx

Had a fab weekend at Brands Hatch - DH, Lucy and I stayed over night in the motorhome and Lucy was a star. The lovely LG&T, ALL the kiddies, Mr LG&T & his mum & dad came along. Was so lovely to see them all. Bluebell is TOTALLY scrumptious!! Lucy got cuddles with most of them i think

Off to bed as i am 100% knackered but its so worth it.

JAM - your hair looks gorgeous BTW x

MmeJaffaB · 04/10/2009 22:48

Rudy is lovely Tils... but tbh I like it spelt with an I Rudi.

Glad you had a nice weekend AM.

Stay here with us SOH, tis horrible and sad outside.

Themasterandmargaritas · 05/10/2009 09:43

Jam the hair looks cool. I am now growing mine.

Rudy or Fergus. Gilbert is a bit of a drip, unless he was simply a Gil, then he would be uber cool.

Glad you had a good time with your cars April, I've no idea where you get the energy from.

It's a vomfest chez TMAM today. One off and dh and I feeling like we are on the rocky seas.....

Oh MrsJB I meant to say how awesome that Sylvie wants you to do some teaching. Your french has already improved so much, you will soon be totally bilingual! How is M's arm doing?

elkiedee · 05/10/2009 23:29

Good to see you around still SOH.

GhostWriter · 06/10/2009 13:48

It's nice to be around.

We've done some calculations and we can afford either Christmas or to have the heating on, so...

Has anybody seen any cheap fleecy sleepsuits for toddlers? I keep trying ebay but they go for pounds and pounds, no doubt because peppa pig is emblazoned on them. It's very cold at night in our draughty cottage and M is sleeping in jumpers. Not practical or comfortable.

She had some primark ones but they were scratchy and didn't fit well.

Any ideas?

largeginandtonic · 06/10/2009 14:13

I am very glad you are around too

A HUGE thank you to AM or a great Sunday and Brans Hatch. The children were very excited, the small ones are all still wearing their passes! They go to school with them!

Little Lucy is just super cute. Dh was impressed with the hair. He helpfully said "Have another then" when i saidi had always wanted a dark haired baby.

It was a fun day, nice weather and great company The Motor home is vast! I want one. We could load up and pootle over to France for the holidays. You must get one AM.

We would all like to go again, especially with my Brother when he is back from Afghanistan. He is car crazy and would behave like a complete child around it all.

We are full of cold in the gin house. The 2 babies have been up and downin the night. Gah! The rain has started too Heating on here.

MrsJB are you nervous about teaching? I bet you are'nt How is M now?

TMAM hope the vom passes quickly. Nothing worse than puking children. Poor you. Why are you growing your hair? I like it short.

I have no idea why mine is long atm, all i do is tie it up out the way. Is there an age you get too old for a ponytail i wonder?

I know that Mothercare sometimes do a buy one get one half price on the bedtime wear. Worth a look. What size is she is and i will keep my eyes peeled

I can't remember anything else i was supposed to say, mind blank. I blame the cold.

JamInMyWellies · 06/10/2009 14:21

SOH have you tried freecycle? Am going to a boden clearance sale thing tom whats your budget will have a look for you. Oh try tesco they sometimes have that sort of thing and are fairly cheap.

We are all snot filled too Archie sounds like he smokes 40 a day.

Get your bums over to FB I need your help otherwise John is going to win and be unbearable.

Tilly I really like Rudy prefer it with an I. I do also like Gilbert as Gil reminds me of reading Anne of Green Gables. Dont like fergus.

GhostWriter · 06/10/2009 14:41

I like all your names Tilly. You have great taste. You forgot Seth though. I love Seth.

My budget? About 12 pence.

Freecycle, oh God the horrors of Freecycle. Offered something once, God the vultures descended, 8 million emails demanding I deliver the items to them in the next 29 seconds or the budgie gets it.

Still got sinusitis here. Prefer that to the vomit.

Isn't that motorhome something? It's a house. On wheels. It's better equipped than a real house.

AprilMeadow · 06/10/2009 15:27

Glad you all enjoyed yourselves I think the season starts around the 1st weekend of April - normally its a local one (can tell you for certain tomorrow as the race calendar gets published).

Lucy a bit under the weather today I fear the snots may have got her - hardly surprising when Ella, Jack & DH have had it. She is feeding more often and is quite unsettled.
