Guess what..........

I'm still pg!!

MmeJaffaB · 11/09/2009 16:52

Norty!!!

AbbyLou · 11/09/2009 17:30

Hi all. Well you can certainly tell it's term time - I'm nowhere to be seen and you lot are back!!
LGT I am so sorry you are having to go through so much at the moment, it's really not fair. You are doing a great job with P, she will understand everything when she is older. As for the other stuff, it sounds awful. Dh's cousin has just been through a similar experience trying to get custody of his kids from his ex. it was very harrowing, but he won thank goodness. She is an evil cow!
Well I feel like i have never been away from work - holiday is long forgotten. My new class are ok, need a bit of licking into shape but that won't take long. God, I sounded like a right school ma'am then!! C is loving school, he has done 4 full days now. He is absolutely shattered though bless him, and just falls into bed at 7pm. He already has a reputation in school for having a hearty appetite and piles his tray high with school dinner - that's my boy!! He loves the dinners and thinks it's great they have a slad bar where they can help themselves!!
The kids are at the in-laws this weekend as we are going to a wedding in Huddersfield tomorrow night. We are staying in a hotel, I can't wait. It's ages since we've had a night away on our own. The kids will have a whale of a time too.
Hope everybody has a good weekend and AM, hurry along with this baby now, it's getting boring!!!

largeginandtonic · 11/09/2009 19:18

Eeeeeerily quiet. Perhaps we are having the quiet moment before AM's baby arrives...

I have good news dh is winging his way home sometime soon I am so relieved. I need him home.

The doc was lovely this morning, he just said "of course you need him home!"

I had to carry ds3 into school this morning kicking and screaming like a 2 year old He doesn't want to go to school. I spoke to his teacher and she said he is ok once in. At 7 he is a bit old or this, i think he is just picking up on my stress

Ds4 wouldn't stay with my lovely neighbour today while i went to see the doctor. He sat on the floor and cried. He is a bit clingy too.

They are all falling apart!

I am having a beer.

Themasterandmargaritas · 11/09/2009 19:27

Great news on dh! Hooray someone listened to you. Sorry about the boys, they are both sensitive souls and it's no wonder they are reacting, as you say, to the stress and tension in the air. I'm certain they will be fine once N is home.

April can't be doing her needful tonight, I've told Lucy not to come til Sunday.

Charley, a mammoth epic post as ever. Thank you for the book offer, that is so sweet of you. But I'm afraid it may never make it back to you! I'd love to know the title though.... Tell dh I am back to 5k a couple of times a week and am slowly working it.

I have a huge weekend ahead, its a two day family challenge event I have been organising with 3 others, for months.... It is all to raise funds for the mental health NGO I have been setting up with another lady. So, wish me luck, I am taking 2 dc and camping as well as being an official, thank god the ILs are keeping Jas, though he will be gutted he is not with us.

ShowOfHands · 11/09/2009 20:14

Panic panic.

M slipped awkwardly off the chair and cried a lot. Is limping and saying her foot hurts. Can't run but can hobble.

DH stuck at work, was due home hours ago.

What do I do??

largeginandtonic · 11/09/2009 20:25

Will she let you touch it?

OP posts:
AprilMeadow · 11/09/2009 21:13

That's great news that N is/will be in his way home LG&T . A beer sounds lovely - we havent any cold ones in the fridge and now wish we did

SOH will M not let you put a cold compress on it? My 2 are OBSESSED with cold compresses!

Had a pretty boring day today filled with ironing and tidying. Walked to get the kids from nursery and then collapsed on the sofa once E had gone down for her nap. DH came home early and we walked to the park and they had a half hour play on the swings etc before coming back to the tea/shower/bed routine.

Had a call from the nice midwife i saw last week in hospital giving me some results back and then spent 10 mins asking how i was etc etc. Have booked a 40 wk appointment next Thursday and have already asked about the possibility of a sweep. I checked the length of time they leave you before induction and she said it was 10days - am hoping that i can plead a case that lets them take it 10 days from MY due date (14th) rather than the scan date (18th). Am pretty sure i can create some tears if need be.

Taking J to a party tomorrow at a local farm which will be nice and then heading to a Caravan/RV show on Sunday with a view to buying a '5th wheeler' type thing (similar to a motorhome, but one you have to pull rather than drive like a bus). Would be ideal for touring car weekends and also allow us to go away for the weekend/school holidays without having to fly anywhere.

Off to raid the cupboards to see if there is anything worth eating.....

largeginandtonic · 11/09/2009 21:30

Have been texting SOH. Poor girl and poormummy. Why on earth do these things always happen when you don't have a man around...

AM i know where you are chick, there is an end i promise. She will come out. It is so frustrating waiting though.

My beer is so nice i am having another Celebratory right?

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 11/09/2009 21:38

She's asleep, bandaged up. Normal self just limping and saying her foot hurts. If you ask her to point to the sore bit she says it's round the front and traces a line from the knobbly inside ankle bit to the knobbly outside ankle bit. No swelling, no bruising, no protrusions, no odd shape. It's a sprain right?

AbbyLou · 11/09/2009 21:39

Oh LGT that is great news about your dh. You will be so grateful of the support won't you?At least everyone involved listened and let him leave.

SOH how is M? Agree re the cold compress. We use them a lot at school but most kids are obsessed with wet paper towels!!!!

AM waterworks is definitely a good idea! A friend of mine is due her 2nd on Christmas Day and she knows she will have to have a c-section. They said theywould only do it a week early but she turned on the waterworks and said she wanted to be at home for her ds's Christmas and they said they would do it at 38 weeks!

JamInMyWellies · 11/09/2009 21:43

Excellent news LG&T really chuffed for you.

SOH poor M cols compress and some nurofen it will hep with any swelling put her to bed and re-asses in the morning.

AM, lovey have you considered accupuncture I had a session and I swear it helped kick start things and helped with a super short labour.

The most lovely thing happened between the monkey's tonight Archie was blowing raspberries on Lachlans tummy and they were both laughing their heads off. I do so hope they become good chums.

largeginandtonic · 12/09/2009 10:37

How is M this morning SOH?

Jam that is so sweet about L and A. Blubelle finds B hysterical, she really laughs with him. I amamazed as he can be so awful to her and she pulls his hair all the time!

I am only BF at night now. I plan to knock that on the head in the next few days. It will be easier with dh home. She is not bothered in the least thankfully, the gulit is unbearable anyway.

She will be 8months old next week

How is everyone else?

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 12/09/2009 12:41

Knocking bfing on the head? How do you do that then?

M her normal chipper self. Whipped the bandage off, explained that the dream fairies came and made it better (why the feck the dream fairies can't do the housework while they're here I'll never know) and you wouldn't know she hurt herself. She has built an assault course out of chairs, footstools, cushions and the fireguard and is "sailing the high seas to Greece" all in the front room of a cottage in Norfolk. She'll probably break a limb.

I'm so pleased Bobby Shafto's coming home. It's time. How's things with P's injections?

Sorry was in panic mode last night, dh was supposed to be home at 6pm, eventually rocked in at 1am. Terminator or no, it's not asseptable.

Jam, your NY photos are astounding.

JamInMyWellies · 12/09/2009 17:28

Glad to hear M is better today.

Given up the boob here too am only feeding ince or twice mini feeds to relieve the pressure am hoping another few days just to stop my boobs hurting and then we will be fine. He is loving the bottle. The guilt here is also unbearable.

MmeJaffaB · 12/09/2009 20:04

Tut Tut Tut at guilty feeling mums..... Why? Happy baby, Happy mummy, right? No guilt needed please. x

Lg&t, Yay for the return of sailor Jo.

SOH, glad M is back.

SKYTVADDICT · 13/09/2009 08:41

So please N is coming home.

Love your NY photos Jam. Looks brilliant. Must add to my list to visit.

Went to a wooden toy party on Friday night and eventally rolled in at 2am - very worse for wear! Major hangover yesterday - will I ever learn. C and L been waking in the night every night this week so we were all very tired and we went sofa shopping - huge mistake - my lovely, pliable 2 year old was a screaming maniac in SCS as we wouldn't let him out the buggy to sit on the sofas! He had already run wild in B&Q. Not a successful shopping day.

Glad M was better SOH. It is very scary when you don't know how bad they are hurt.

Come on AM - I haven't guessed yet - I think I will go for 15 September 7lb 2oz

Going sofa shopping on tinernet today - probably more successful!

SKYTVADDICT · 13/09/2009 08:42

and also meant to say - don't feel guilty re the BF you have both done fantasticly x

AprilMeadow · 14/09/2009 07:10

STILL HERE!!!!!!

Jack is getting very excited about his first day at school. For the first time in months he woke up in the night with a bad dream and needed dh to go in and sleep with him, I think his little brain was playing over time thinking/worrying about today.

Took some pictures last night of him in his uniform as a just in case something happened and we needed to go to hospital. They are on fb He looks so cute/grown up, its quite scary.

How is everyone this morning?

largeginandtonic · 14/09/2009 09:09

I bet he will LOVE it AM

Sky the hangover hell, belurgh. I don't envy you. Did you buy any wooden toys?

Shopping with B is always like that, he regularly scream all the way round the supermarket. That's why i don't go out!

SOOOOOOOOO DH is home He flew in yesterday morning. I am so relieved. Has not stopped me worrying about everything BUT is is so great not worrying about all the little things iykwim.

The children were thrilled to see him. It is lovely to see their happy faces We have all missed him so much.

I may not be on for a while

AM i will be in contact via mobile... not long now chick i promise. I know it is hard waiting, especially when every blimmin step you take hurts.

My friend named her baby. Hugo Rafferty What a fabulous name. I am getting lots of when i tell people. I REALLY don't mind, we don't live next door to each other! The children, especially Hugo thinks it is so cool. It is.

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 14/09/2009 10:11

Hugo Rafferty's a lovely name. Do you think that's what she wanted all along and was uhmming and aahing over whether she could do it?

I could not be happier that N is home. Brilliant. Absolutely fecking brilliant. Enjoy every minute of it. Will email you something to read when you've put him down. No pretending everything's alright with him. Tell him everything and work on it together.

AM will check fb in a bit and have a look at your little man. How are they all growing up so fast?

M loves the supermarket/shops (unlike her mother). Is very happy with a list and putting things in the trolley. Lots of people to smile at and chat to. We've convinced her the weekly shop is a day out and she's so deprived she's fallen for it. Ditto Mondays when the binmen come. Thinks it's Christmas. Easily pleased I tell you. I am less happy that today she has asked for a 'microphone please mummy so I can sing'. Eh? And er, no. Should not have let her watch the X Factor.

Wooden toy party? Hmm is that a posh Ann Summers party?

charleymouse · 14/09/2009 10:49

Brill news LG&T. We know what you're doing.
SOH you just have to be more careful re the splinters.
AM I am going for the cool birthdate of 20/09/2009 and anticipating 7lb 9oz.
Abby hope you had a nice wedding weekend away.
MJB are we dancing this week?
TMAM brill, will look up the title for you tis in the car at the mo in case I was posting it to you. DH did the Nottingham 1/2 marathon yesterday and came in 2000 place at 1:50:18. Am so proud of him, he has also signed up for the Birmingham one in October now as well.
Jam great New York pics.
SKY you could try the tatcic of getting a good deal by getting the boys to scream blue murder the assistants will offer you a great deal just to get you out of the shop.
Elkie how you doing?

DD did not want to go to school today .
She confused a new schoolgirl with an old nursery friend in the first week and called her the wrong name so although they played lovely the other girl eventually got peed off and left her to it. Now all the others have paired off and she is on her own. I organised a playday last week with another couple of Mums (on the same day we were going to a nursery party) and all she rattled on about was her old friends and how crap the park was and could we go to S party yet. Methinks we will give any further nursery invites a wide berth to try to make a clean break of it. Just feel so gutted for her as it is such a small school she can not get lost in the numbers. Any advice anyone?

charleymouse · 14/09/2009 10:54

DOH

Oh PJ hope you are having a good holiday andf the headache is gone and A is feeling better.
TSM Can do last weekend of October,no real preference for days although not sure if DD will be doing anything Halloweeny so Sunday may be better that weekend for us. By the way that is a lovely neat bump you are developing there.

AprilMeadow · 14/09/2009 15:36

J had a fab day/morning at school - no probs with getting him in and he was so excited to tell us what he had done.

MmeJaffaB · 14/09/2009 16:21

Ahhh so glad N is back.... ENJOY

AM, Yay for J, really pleased the tranistion from nursery to school was good, shows a benefit of full time nursery. He was well ready for school though hey? How you feeling anyway chick? (OK, I know the answer, don't feel the need to answer it)

CM, no real advice for DD, I'm sure she will find her feet pretty soon though, kids that age chop and change friends so quickly. Dancing this week? YAY YAY the term starts again tonight.. I have 9 classes Mon - Thurs planned, 3 aerobics and 6 dance classes plus any demos over the weekend we do. I am SOOOOO looking forward to getting back to it properly. It's also a great opportunity to keep my French up. The summer has dragged with little dancing.

How was sofa shopping SKY? We'd like a new one Always something more important for us unfortunately, throws are pretty good value I hear?

Hope you are having a nice time PJ and that A is better.
