P is still snotty and to top it off she bumped her head twice today! She knocked her wooden truck up in the air and caught the corner on her head then fell on the corner of the skirting board and bruised her head, was not nice

I have seen some lovely things in gap! I saw a girl on holiday in a lush dress and today saw it on the website but only in P's age but cant believe its £7 postage! here oh I am confused, is that euros? is there a british website??? [dippy blonde emotion]!

Honeymoonmummy · 17/09/2009 23:42

Ooh nice dress Jenwa!

Poppy has finally caught my cold, she's been really snuffly all day and we had a horrendous night last night, i ended up shouting at DH in the middle of the night, I was so exhausted after looking after Pops for 10 days while he worked, then he turned round and said "Well I'm exhausted too". Well I just threw my dummy out of the pram. it's not been a good 24 hours from a PND point of view, altho DH and I are fine now. I hope the doc has something useful tomorrow for me because I'm really starting to worry that I won't be better in time for returning to work in Jan. does anyone know, do I need to tell work I'm on AD's if I'm still on them when I go back?

Anyway, i'm going to try to sleep, night all x

star6 · 18/09/2009 08:31

I would think it's none of their business if you're on AD's... right???? I don't want to tell my work! I hope someone comes along to reassure...

50ftQueenie · 18/09/2009 10:08

Jenwa. There's not a good British Gap website I'm afraid, only ASOS & the American site doesn't deliver overseas irc. I'm also not sure that a Gap 12-18 months would fit P, certainly not as a dress. 12-18 dresses from Gap are a bit short on M (only just cover her bum). If you really want it I can see if I can find it up at Bluewater today. Hope P's head is better now, poor little poppet.

Aubergenie -If you can't make the 30th we do another day. I suggested Greenwich so that those of us down this way could meet up (obviously everyone else would be more than welcome, it just seems silly that we haven't met up and we're all so near - that includes you Ronshar) We can do any weekend from the 30th onwards.... Hope you feel better soon, colds are rubbish!

Hmm - I think you only have to disclose it if you are asked to do a medical disclosure form thingy. It might be worth mentioning to your manager (if you get on well with your manager) about the PND, just so that they have an understanding of what is going on. They can't discriminate against you, they'd be in big trouble if they did!

Myjob - Hope N is better in time for her birthday. Have you got a busy weekend?

M doesn't want to crawl any more. She is desperate to walk but her balance still isn't quite there so she hangs on to everything for dear life as she wobbles around. She is going to see her little 'boyfriend' today with DH so I will get to wander around BW in peace. It will be so strange not having her with me. I might even be able to sit down and have a coffee.

Monday is international day of peace.

jenwa · 18/09/2009 15:51

50ft thank you sooo much. So I cant order it online at all then? Boo! Thank you for looking for me though and the advice re the size, yes I def would want it to cover her bum!

myjob glad N better today. P is better, still moody and hated town and never slept much today even my power walking in the pushchair never helped!

hm i have told work but I do work in mental health and we deal with depression etc and afew collegues have been in the same boat so it was actually quite helpful for me but it totally depends on you and how you feel about telling people.

50ftQueenie · 18/09/2009 16:41

M feel down the stairs... it sounded like the whole way! There was a communication failure between DH and I & we each thought she was with the other. She had a cuddle then was absolutely fine, in fact she wanted to get down after a few moments of cuddling. We will keep an eye on her but she is her normal self at the moment. Eeeek! Naughty mummy & daddy!

50ftQueenie · 18/09/2009 16:42

Argh, she fell, not feel.

jenwa · 18/09/2009 17:16

ahh, poor M hope she is ok

50ftQueenie · 18/09/2009 17:34

Hey!!! I replied and it has disappeared!
I said:

She's fine Jenwa. My babies are tough bouncy creatures!

Only then she got a small hanger stuck in her mouth. But she soon perked up after that too. I was sat with her at the time too.

If it is any consolation Jenwa, I see that dress in Gap and was thinking about getting it for M but I didn't like the material. It was a really thick jersey material, like the stuff they use for old lady clothes. It just didn't hang right. They had an offer on denim today 30% off and I looked at the denim skirts, there was one so tiny it was basically a pair of pants!

Myjob I'm in awe that, not only do you have 2 children to my one, but your dh works long shifts and so you often have the children on your own. Where do you get the time? I bought all the wool and needles to make some little booties for S when he was tiny and unravelled them recently as clearly they're now too small!

50ft I want gap here I did see that dress on a little girl and it did look so cute but she was older than M and P so maybe better at that age but know what you mean about 'granny material'

myjob lol re 'yarn' I have no patience to even try that! Also DH cant touch wool so he would never want them wearing it!

Honeymoonmummy · 18/09/2009 21:45

And the bad parent of the day award goes to.... [HMM starts a drumroll]

Well I went to the docs and told her a few of my weird and wonderful stories about recent events and she's given me a prescript for a different AD, citalopram, she said I should see an effect within 2 weeks hopefully. So fingers crossed they'll suit me better and I remember them from initial research as also being good ones for BF. And I've just googled them and they're good for premature ejaculation apparently so that'll be useful

Star, doc said you're under no obligation to tell work unless you think it'll significantly affect your work, so don't worry, sorry to have given you a bit of a stress there!

I'm off to another NCT sale tomorrow to buy some more -crap.-- I'm hoping to pick up a lightweight buggy, I assume that as long as it says Mclaren I can't go wrong! I thought if I get a cheap secondhand buggy then I can spend more ont he walk along trike. do they do trikes with rain covers, does anyone know?

I've been at a wedding most of today with no babies invited,, so coming back to do feeds. Pops gave me such a wonderful smile tonight when I came back in and held out her arms to me [sob]

Lol at you freaky wool-haters.

Just been watching Derren Brown - I was hoping to get stuck to the sofa but it didn't work. Gah!

Anyway, new Peep Show has started. I'm off.

50ftQueenie · 18/09/2009 22:07

Hmm - I suspect it goes to me to be honest, two incidents in one day. Poor M. She is absolutely fine though. DH took M off to meet his mate today and she was away from me for all of an hour, I really, really missed her. I am amazed at myself! How pathetic?! Good news about the ADs, hope they work for you without any horrible side effects.

Pistachio - Poor T! DS always had a knack of hurting himself repeatedly on the same thing over and over again as a baby. M hasn't really hurt herself yet, the hanger was quite traumatic though. Minutes after the falling down the stairs she was trying to get back up them (with me very close behind her obviously), standing up not holding on, waving her arms around and trying to turn around and come back down.

Myjob - I can't knit or sew. My mum is going to teach me to sew to try to save me money. She loves knitting so knits loads of stuff for M. We worked out how much it would cost to make a jumper for DS and it would be about £40 in wool! I can get a Monsoon jumper for less.

Jenwa - I wish DH couldn't touch wool. It would be all I wore!

Dh failed to get stuck to the sofa by Derren Brown.

50ftQueenie · 18/09/2009 22:08

Ah Aubergenie, you have wonderful taste. I just burst out laughing because Mark did the exact same thing that DH does every time he goes out - wallet, phone, door keys...

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/09/2009 22:56

I appear to have spent the whole week blitzing the crap from my house. We must have thrown away at least 300 magazines and god knows how much other junk, and yet it still looks like it needs a good tidy and clean. Let's hope our weekend guests can see past the mess .

Bedtime now, so big hello and wave to all, and yay for all good stuff and boo for all bad stuff.

Ohh I need handholding, Ryan has got a tummy bug and keeps being sick (first time he has ever been properly sick ie not just posseting) I am trying to watch for dehydration (he is bringing milk straight back up) but the main symptom is "grogginess" Of course he's groggy, he's just been woken up!

Going to poke him again now and offer water if he is awake. Sorry I haven't been on here much recently.
