Hi all! Feeling very fragile today after going to a house warming last night Good to get out though. Second day of work also went well, it's like I've never been away and J had another good day with my Mum.

Aubergenie- he starts Nursery on monday, just a very short session to start with. Dh has 2 weeks annual leave to settle him in. Am feeling more positive about it at the moment and hopeful that he'll like it. I keep worrying that he'll wonder where I am but Mum said he didn't even notice I was gone on thurs or fri but of course loved to see me when I got home which is a relief. Glad you had a good night out and that S was fine. I think babies are more adaptable than us Mum's like to think

Pistachio-Saw your pics of dd's party. Looked lovely

CC is still working well, tonight no crying at all. It's amazing but I'm still a bit of a pessimist and waiting to see if it all comes undone!

Can't believe that all the babies are coming up to 1. Where has the year gone? We've booked a church hall for J's party as I want to invite quite a few people seeings as he wasn't christened. We've still got 8 weeks to go but a lot to sort out.

Right have to go and do some work....sob..

Hi to everyone I haven't mentioned.

Oooh Ekka am loving the thighs article now if trousers could just be made a bit wider my life would be perfect!

Nothing much myjob, on second night of cc with dd. Took 5mins last night and 20 tonight.

Bit fedup if I am honest.

Ds is still not sleeping through, and is still in our bed. And it is wearing abit thin now. He is super clingy and I cannot go anywhere without him as he kicks off. And is still feeding every 2hours or so day and night.

I dont know what to do with him. I love him to bits but I can feel some resentment there

Sorry for being whingy after being away so long.

Knickers - I feel your pain. Ds was exactly like that until about a week ago, waking every hour and a half to two hours or so. Like you, we had him in with us because it was easier (and lovely too). Don't know if it's coincidence or not but we spent about 3 difficult nights trying to get him to sleep in his cot, comforting him if he cried (which he did quite a lot) and he suddenly started sleeping for longer periods (4 or 5 hours in one stretch). It's very, very hard isn't it. It's one thing having a few difficult nights and totally another when it's relentless night after night. Good luck though. I hope the cc works and gives you a bit of a break.

CSWS - I think it's just horrible PMT. I've a tendency towards it, and I think it's because I've not been eating properly recently (too many carbs, not enough protein, too much coffee).

Pistachio - Sounds like a lovely day. I particularly like the bit about cava for the grown ups.

Pepper at 13 bags. I can see how it happens though. I was given a ton of stuff for S by a work colleague who has now given me a load more that he LO has grown out of. I cleared out S's clothes and was ashamed that there was stuff in there that I'd forgotten about and he'd never even worn.

I'm going to try and find the conversation you had about salt levels in food now.

50ftQueenie · 05/09/2009 21:46

Oh I'm so rubbish at keeping up! I think it's because DS has been home for the last two weeks rather than out with mates. I am still ill with this stupid cold. Now my ears and sinuses are totally blocked. Grrrrr.

Hello Pepper! I've got my scan on Monday and am not looking forward to it. I am a wee bit claustrophobic so I'm going to have to do some breathing exercise of something. Your results are taking ages aren't they?

Pistachio - Love the pictures of dd's party. They look like little ladies who lunch, all dressed up in their finery. Poor T's tooth. Poor little thing has only just popped out! At least it's only a baby tooth and he'll get a nice fresh set of nashers in a few years (well, DS still hasn't got any adult teeth or even any wobbly baby ones!)

Myjob - Notice that it wasn't me that ribbed you about being pregnant? You really can't expect boys of that age to behave can you? DS's friend came in to visit for 10 mins, literally ten minutes, and they utterly destroyed ds's bedroom. DH was so angry he was shaking! Another time the same boy was round to visit and thought it would be hilarious to spit chocolate milk all over the upstairs. EVERYWHERE! In all the rooms, in the hall, on DS's bed....

Rachie - Glad you had a good night out. I haven't been out for the evening for about 18 months! Oh dear, that is rubbish isn't it? Glad work has been good. It's nice to get back to being you again isn't it?

CSWS - You are very naughty. But to be honest DH would have been so shocked there is no way he would have been able to sleep!

Aubergenie - Good news about the night's sleep. SO, have you tested yet or is it too early? Oh just noticed you said you were making the chocolate and pistachio cake. Was it as delicious as it looks?

KSal - We went ToysRus window shopping for M's birthday presents but it was all a bit scary and plastic for me in there! I always find ELC much better. We have got her a gently used Mamas & Papas rocking butterfly for a fraction of the new price! Hurrah!

We are still going round and round in circles about baby number three. I am a planner and like to visualise how things are going to be so it's driving me mad. Ho hum!

50ftQueenie · 05/09/2009 21:49

Oh and Pistachio - How fabulous about the bath. I love it when they do funny things like that. DS and his 'girlfriend' once stripped off and got in his bed!

aubergenie · 05/09/2009 21:54

Pistachio - Ouch for ds's tooth, poor fella.
I love those photos. They look so angelic, sitting round the table, it's difficult to imagine them getting up to mischief.

MM- about ds and his girlfriend.

We have just got back from a week in the Isle of Wight - it was great, I think we all really enjoyed it Still feeling a bit "meh" about J (DP) though and feeling guilty about it I enjoy his company more when we are out together with friends or just generally in public than when we are alone together which is not a good sign. However the holiday was fab, we got to do everything we wanted, weather was either good or bad, no in-between days and we got to the beach a couple of times which Ryan loved, and we took BLW to a new level in a Tapas bar where he munched on a whole baby octopus!!

KSal - we have the pushalong wooden trolley, it's really nice and Ryan walks really well with it. The blocks are good too, and good value at £20 with the 20% off birthday voucher. I really liked the pink one but we got it in blue in the end as J would not have been impressed

Jenwa - hope you are having a fab time!

Myjob - I like shopping for baby clothes as well. We got given loads of stuff with the instruction not to give it back so I sorted out the bits I loved, leaving some things still to buy, and will be carbooting the rest (and the too-small things are sorted into 2 piles, to keep and to carboot! Getting rid of some of the plainer things from multipacks.) with my sister sometime soon (Need to do that before the weather gets too horrible)

I will probably ebay some stuff as well but got lots of stuff to carboot including some old books - I have done them before, I think they are quite fun

Pistachio - Wow to 10k run! I lounged around all day as usual. And oh yes, welcome to the world of boys. By the time DS was the age our babies are now, he had already had a general anesthetic to repair a crushed thumb bone.

Thank you for the well wishes for tomorrow. It's in the evening so I'll let you know how it goes. Poor M is going to be very grumpy about no bfing for 24 hours.

RachieW · 06/09/2009 19:55

Evening- had a very lazy day here and J has been really good fun. His first day at Nursery tomo, just a 30min session to start with with dh staying. Am so nervous and glad that I'm not doing the settling in

50ft- Just wanted to add my good luck wishes for tomo. You are so right I am enjoying being me again and part of the team at work.

Bertie- Glad you had a good hol, sorry to hear about you and dp. Hope things get better.

Pistachio- Well done with the 10k! Sorry to hear about ds tooth

Right am off to watch Marple- love that kind of Sunday night switch off tv.

aubergenie · 06/09/2009 21:36

Good luck tomorrow 50ft (nearly typed 50 cent there).

V tired and a bit grumpy. Off to bed.

Honeymoonmummy · 06/09/2009 21:39

God I just signed in and saw MM's post about MyJob being ribbed about being pregnant and had a moment! Don't do that to me guys!!!

We had a lovely break, altho DH and I rowed a bit, I think he has mild depression too as he snaps at me a lot and he's always tired. He's asked me if I think that a few times and I've said yes but I know he won't do anything about it, he's worried about having to tell work if he goes to the docs.

I am knackered! Poppy appears to have THREE teeth on their way at once, poor mite, so she's waking up in the night, altho thank god only once in the night. Bizarrely, she slept much better while away in the hotel travel cot with a quilt on top (underneath her) than she does in her top-of-the-range mothercare mattress DH is trying to persuade me to use the travel cot all the time now....

Anyway, i'm going downstairs for a late tea, laters!

50ftQueenie · 06/09/2009 22:53

Yo yo yo. How's it hanging ma hos?

I had to drink some horrible stuff that according to DH smelled of Pernoid. It is dye for the scan and it has given me killer indigestion!

HMM - Hello! Glad you had a good time. M slept just as well in her travel cot as she does at home so goes to show it makes no odds really does it? I think P & M must have the same mattress.

Rachie - DS loved nursery so much he used to cry when we collected him. Even if J does get upset, the second you're out of sight he'll be playing and giggling. They always do......

Hope you get a god night's sleep Aubergenie.

50ftQueenie · 07/09/2009 08:08

Vote Martha!!! Get voting ladies and spread the word. Her photo is the best one anyway, even if I wasn't biased.
