Also- had DS weighed, and weight gain is very slow. bfc wanted to refer to paed but will wait until after ds sees dermatologist in sept
He does like food... just not v good at swallowing yet, and of course is only having fruit and veg.

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 00:33

Oh no

Maybe Aitch or someone would have some words of wisdom?

DD1 has temp of 39.6

Highest yet I think!

EachPeachPearMum · 18/08/2009 00:39

oh tree... hope you can get it down.

chefswife · 18/08/2009 01:19

dog At least you have a place to sort of go while in limbo that is familiar. You might be surprised by what you get for a mortgage. We went to see our banker on a whim and got $350,000 and I have no job and no credit rating... (I've refused to buy anything on credit or have credit card).

missjackson at IPhone.

qumps Sounds like a great time.

lennied We've been putting off babyproofing (because we are being lazy about it ) but today I did it because poor little bubs stuck her finger in a socket and got a shock today! Poor thing.

kittypink We've been co-sleeping since the beginning but DD still wakes when we rustle around getting into bed or just rolling over.

Finally have DD's room painted and will be moving her in tomorrow... good luck to me!

missjackson · 18/08/2009 01:33

Typing on iPhone so a bit slow. Have just caught up with you all, gosh what a lot of chat. It is 1.30am and I can't sleep... No wonder my dear son doesn't like to either!

That took about ten Mins to type so must stop. Have fun tomorrow books pat and eppm. Good place for thread meet maybe? We must make date. I am free anytime except oct 2 -4.

missjackson · 18/08/2009 01:35

Ps kitty I love dr sears and his baby book is my bible. Never too late to start co sleeping.

Book marking, will catch up properly later, dog Big hugs, that's rubbish news about the house.

Having a fab time in Jersey, have discovered an amazing beach with caves and rock pools and no one on it, DD is having a great time. Its like a proper old fashioned beach holiday, with sand castles, crabs and cheese sandwiches with sand in. I don't want to go home...still have a few days left though. My Sis is baby sitting tonight and we are off out for dinner to some oyster place by the beach...can't wait. DS sleeping is a nighmare, has started waking in the night again am had got used to lovely undisturbed sleep, think its teething (still no teeth though)and lack of routine while being on hols.

MissJ Can't do a London meet up this week as don't get back til wednesday, but have a good week and enjoy the shopping!

Right, off to the beach again... will try to catch up properly soon.

hongkongzoe · 18/08/2009 09:17

Oh and I am intrigued at the whole MN DM thing, haven't had a chance to be on MN for a week or so...someone fill me in, whats going on, MN collaborating with the DM...surely not?!

tinkistheresidentshopper · 18/08/2009 09:52

off to park in the lovely sunshine

elkiedee · 18/08/2009 11:17

MissJ, as hkz says, she's away till tomorrow, you've got lots of stuff planned and although I would have happily come to meet you, I have got something planned for each day this week now. Tomorrow I'm going to go to the baby cinema screening in East Finchley - they tend to have lots of quite interesting sounding films on but I've only actually made it once before.

qumps, whereabouts in London are you? I discovered that periwink who hasn't posted I think since before/when babies were born may live near me, though possibly not that near as she is a member of the local NCT group. If we can arrange a meet up somewhere in London that you and I/others in or near London can get to before 26 October (I'm due to go back to work that day though still dithering a bit about my annual leave), I'd love to meet up somewhere.

On name changes, my brother and sister and I have all changed our names from our fathers' names (they have a different dad from me) to our mum's surname (I don't think anyone used a deed poll). I did it when I was 18, just choosing to be known by a different surname. My sister was still at school and I think my brother was, and they did it after their dad left our mum for someone else. I know that's different from changing the birth certificate and it looks like you can change forenames, first and middle. I have to admit that I think whatever you call children they may decide they want to be called something else entirely later anyway, I've met quite a few people using rather odd aliases.

tinkistheresidentshopper · 18/08/2009 11:35

eachpeach - they tried to refer me to paedatrician with bracken as she started @ 75th centile and now on 2nd. dd1 did the same and went through the whole paedatrician thing with her so not worried. she is a much better eater .

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 12:56

Strange weight things going on at the moment! Jess is at Paeds on Fri has only put on half a kilo in a year!

Dog - it's a pisser. Yes there are others worse off, but this is still crap for you. You are allowed to be gutted.

Jess poorly but trying to play bless. Nanna is visiting for day. Poor Jess.

Ray! News?

rrrayray · 18/08/2009 14:29

Flying visit...

But the all change is... New club for OH... So world turned upside down, we're on the move again. never been in a house/ area for more than a year.

Its a great move, but just emotional for me, and i finally felt settled here, lovely friends, etc.

Oh well, this has always been coming- its the APPARENTLY glamorous life of a 'WAG' (please note the sarcasm........ it is not at ALL glamorous and at times REALLY shitty!!!!)

rrrayray · 18/08/2009 14:32

oh... and OH went 9pm last night. We are likely to be living apart for the next few weeks, maybe even months, as a hotel isn't the place for a baby to be living- no kitchen, no space to play, no garden, etc.... So single momma for now it is Sniff sniff.

Sorry, i know others of you have much bigger fish to fry!!

tinkistheresidentshopper · 18/08/2009 14:55

oh no rray - that is an upheavel - i hate change!!

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 15:18

Oh Ray - major upheaval and sacrifice for you. It is a pita, no too ways about it. Think of the long term goals and aims and how good this will be for you all in the long run. Hang in there!!

Hope you are going somewhere lovely, and you find a fab pad. You can choose womewhere with a crawler in mind this time [all on one level? Mahhooooosive wide doors for pushchairs?]

Maybe you will move uber near one of us though not me as we have no team. Lol.

Totally knackered. DD1 Temp continues, she's had 5 days on full whack Calpol and neurofen now SHe also just produced a poo the size of a haggis. Am very glad we are going to paeds on Friday. Poor lamb. Had a very bad night of odd dreams etc, so I slept with her in her room, we were on the floor. Back killing me now.
I have no idea how DH does it, he easily does 50% and gets up at 6 am to do an hours overtime every single day. All that for £19k a year, bastards.

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 15:20

Sorry! Bad language, but pay in this country is a joke

Tink - I love change I get bored if there is a strict routine! I could easily move every so often, as long as I didn't have to pack.

Poor you though Ray, I see it must be tough when you have your circle of mates and so on.

EachPeachPearMum · 18/08/2009 16:12

just got in from meeting up with Pat and Books... we had a great time! (hope they did )

Just whizzing in,

EPPM and Books, we had a fantastic time, what a fab place, still can't get over the size of it! DC's and I well and truly knackered, what lovely DC's you both have and gorgeous LO's Can't believe how naughty I was though, just couldn't resist the lovely food .

Dog- sounds like you ahve a good few months at least to get sorted, shame about garden and work put in. It all totally blows big time but I'm sure something great will come out of it.

Ray-What an upheaval for you and Esme, you will no doubt settle quickly elsewhere as small children are great ice-breakers, just a right PITA though! Is it a better club for OH? Guess it is or he wouldn't have moved!

Tree-poor you and poor Jess, hope the Orchard is healthy again soon

Back in a bit, DH at footie tonight so solo bathtimes on a tuesday, need to get my act together.......

treedelivery · 18/08/2009 18:48

Its so true about children of a certain age being a great way to meet people, I'm crap at making friends but have a few mums that will hopefully flourish into friendship. Take heart Ray.
