Dog That or she knows someone heading to/ just been to Oz... they are half the price there!!! Have to say, i know alot of people think they are stupid, but i had a pair of black uggs last winter, and they were the best purchase i ever made! Especially for watching football... Brrrr.... Oh, and it SO true that they insulate better if you DON'T wear socks!!!

So i have good and bad news.

Good- Off to be with OH tomorrow. We have given in and just let one of those expensive apartments, all the lodges and stuff in nearby holiday parks were full, and this apartment is fully furnished, and has internet, etc. Really need internet to continue house hunt.

Bad- House hunt not getting anywhere. Nothing suitable to rent, and the 2 houses we have looked to buy are WAY too small, Garden that you can hardly swing a cat in (not to be snotty, but for the price of these houses, you'd expect a big old garden!!!!) So onwards with that..... But at least i'll be down there to do viewings etc if something comes on the market!!!!

missjackson · 25/08/2009 10:58

Dog Uggs are always worth it and have to be the real thing; I have experimented with cheapo ten quid versions and they are just not the same. I have 2 pairs, one old black pair which I wear around the yard when it's cold, and one new fluffy chocolate pair. BTW, they are almost half price in the States if you know anyone nice there...

hkz felt reading your post - must have been so hard losing your Mum after DD. Sad to think they will never know one another. Having babies gives you a whole new appreciation of mums, at least in my case! Also Lenni at you losing your brother - you sound like you are a wonderful mum and I bet you will have a third one day - you are still young enough to wait a few years [green].

Oh, ladies here for playdate so must go but meant to catch up properly... more later!

Gumps · 25/08/2009 13:59

Quick check in as not around later. S currently asleep on me in sling and has been a nightmare. Reflux seems bad and as feel we have taken 10 steps backwards.
Sad posts today. big hugs to dog lenni and hkz and anyone else who needs it.
I live in haviannas for summer and uggs for winter. Pay per wear they are a bargain.

bodenaddict · 25/08/2009 14:41

Sorry, was excited,

dog sorry to hear about nightmares, not got any advice but feeling the tiredness. Zombie solidarity.

soccerette house hunting does indeed suck when its not going well. Hopefully patience will win out.

gumps about reflux, poor mite.

Another bad night here, but only the second half really bad and once again she settled herself a couple of times before we got to her. Subconscious CC me thinks??

I have a head full of hairdye at the mo. Having it cut tomorrow and didn't want it to be lovely style with weird faded colour!

The last few days, I come on here and read and write as I read to ensure I remember everyone, but I seem to keep falling asleep in the midst and never seem to post. Argh.

I noticed there is a lot of name changes... can I have a cheat sheet please!

furrymonster · 25/08/2009 18:46

Hia chefswife hows things? Name changing is very confusing!

furrymonster · 25/08/2009 18:51

dog - not a selfish post, what we are here for - would it help to keep reminding yourself that you are fundamentally happy, it's only a temporary brain chemistry thing that is getting you down and that it'll pass in due course? i find thinking like this helps me not go into a tailspin when the blues are threatening - that the feeling i am having is not true, it's just chemicals. you will be okay.

had a nightmare evening yesterday with c, eventually rocked to sleep in my arms after several hours of screaming. have no idea what was up with her. she's fine today, asleep since 7.10. fingers crossed there's no repeat performance.

furrymonster · 25/08/2009 20:57

dog have you been getting enough sleep recently or altered sleep patterns? There are many things that can cause these kinds of feelings, so it is not necessarily pnd. maybe look at diet? exersize? contact with outside world including non-baby related outings? It could also just be a blip that comes from no-where and will go just as quick as it came on. I definitely think you should have a chat with HV/GP, even if its just for reassurance. I can completely relate to how you are feeling. Please don't feel selfish for posting your concerns. Selfish is not a term I would ever use to describe you.

stripey for last night, could she have had wind/teething? glad its going better tonight.

I know what you mean about pills. I am in the same boat. I think that if you tell them that you are reluctant to take pills but would appreciate knowing what else is available in your area, eg counselling, they should respect that. It they don't, say you are going to talk to another gp!

stripeyloathestheDM · 25/08/2009 21:07

dog, you shouldn't feel pathetic at all. it's a random chemical thing, not some sort of fault of yours. but if you are afraid it'll get away from you, you probably should go to gp, but maybe you can ask to be refered to someone rather than going straight to anti-ds if you don't want to take them?

it could be teeth, i guess, her top ones are looking a little bulgy. it was horrible, she was so upset.
