dizzydixies · 15/07/2009 21:40

evening Lentil

TS glad all ok

TwilightSurfer · 15/07/2009 21:40

that reminds me i have trash to read!

5 more minutes....

pertelote · 15/07/2009 21:40

Yeah go on Sambo

Sorry F is not well, how horrid for you all. Hope you don't catch it and he soon feels more like himself. And that your boss is being rubbish. Good point Dizzy makes about what happens on your immediate return not having to be a permanent situation. Still, hope you sort something out that suits you though.

Miamla wonderful to see you back on form - and with T sleeping as well! Something has clicked here too - hope I'm not speaking too soon but DD has slept through now three nights running...

TS glad you got the answer you were hoping for! Have another margarita...

I also say 'no' even though DD doesn't understand it as anything more than a game. But sometimes her cheeky look round to show me she's heard gives me enough time to grab whatever she's about to put in her mouth (not always though ). She also now will stick her tongue out if I do, so that has enabled me to grab the odd mouthful of crap [yurgh]. As for nappy changing, I've no idea - flinging the dirty nappy is her favourite trick. Today she has worked out when to clap in 'If you're happy and you know it' so that kept her hands busy... tomorrow who knows?!

RedLentil · 15/07/2009 21:41

Ah feck.

I am currently trying to sedate persuade 3 young boys to go to sleep, having put a sharp halt to a penis-comparing competition.

I need dinner and drink

Steaknife · 15/07/2009 21:41

BB is a bit wank isn't it? for me no reality show is complete without Simon - shiney teeth - Cowell or dancing slebs.

Steaknife · 15/07/2009 21:45

And i havent seen BB in years, but generally even more no-brow than ever no? i am a reality TV snob.
I am talking nonsense.

Steaknife · 15/07/2009 21:48

Red I always lost that competition with my brothers.

oopsacoconut · 15/07/2009 21:49

DD has just take 1.5 hours to put to bed where is my precious good go to bed child??? She isn't well but it's not just that. She doesn't seem to be able to switch her brain off at the moment so everytime she fall asleep she suddenly twitches herself awake and you can almost see you brain working behind her eyes! She napped today but no more than normal. She has new words nearly walking constantly on the go and I think it might be scareing her a little. Suddenly able to be independant and she's not sure. OR am I just over thinking it?

TwilightSurfer · 15/07/2009 21:51

ROFL RED!!

oopsacoconut · 15/07/2009 21:52

Dizzy - on the 'which celeb do you think a particular MN-er is' thread - I said you woz Nigella

TwilightSurfer · 15/07/2009 21:52

TwilightSurfer · 15/07/2009 21:52

dizzydixies · 15/07/2009 21:52

TwilightSurfer · 15/07/2009 21:52
Grin
pertelote · 15/07/2009 21:53

Easy surely Red - everyone knows said appendages only grow in one's sleep, yes?

sambo303 · 15/07/2009 21:54

steak jackie collins please. I read that Woman of Substance just before having ds and was most cross with myself for picking such a lame duck book as my last book I could read in total peace!! hated it

I say no to Felix and he gives me a big grin, so cute. He ate some pet kibble today and followed up with a handful of fur from the cat flap.

legume Felix think's his willy is an excellent toy, but I can imagine his playing with it being not so cute in a few months/years

oh oh , baby crying

Steaknife · 15/07/2009 21:54

clink

Steaknife · 15/07/2009 22:00

Sambo am very much a BBT girl myself, though with recognition of its extreme cheesyness. The very terrible film version has Liam Neeson as Blacky - bet he regrets that now.

Jackie always scared me slightly - so very detailed in its raceyness, very alarming for a slow blooming teen.

I too am feeling the love for Her Royal Oopsiness

oopsacoconut · 15/07/2009 22:02

Thanks for the overthinking TS I think I worked for overthinking, overcompensating for behavior parents too long and some of it might have rubbed off!

Steaknife · 15/07/2009 22:03

No really people take some of the beer....

TwilightSurfer · 15/07/2009 22:05

Thanks Steaky but I'm buzzed from the Margaritas earlier.

I'm outta here.

Night Ladies!!

Steaknife · 15/07/2009 22:08

night night TS, wishing you sweet dreams for you and your girls.

LoveBuckets · 15/07/2009 22:11

Yay Sambo come to Facebook and get thrashed at Scrabble by Cyteen. The girl is a pro.

Bad Mummy crown (or badly-knitted bobble hat) goes to me tonight. Last night DS1 was crying loads in bed like he used to as a toddler and we could never work out if it was tummy ache or night terrors. Now he can communicate better I managed to get out of him that he felt sick, he'd banged his foot and that he 'felt crazy,' it's really hard to get him to say what's the matter. I was ready to scream at him by the 3rd wake up but he eventually nodded off with me alongside him. Tonight I send DH in as it happened again and he discovers that DS1 has wet the bed. WHY did this not occur to me last night??? Poor little guy was probably trying to sleep in a puddle all night but couldn't get the words out (maybe to do with his syndrome?). I'd been lulled into a false sense of security by his proficiency without nappies and forgot all about night time accidents.

On a lighter note, think I've found a nice, affordable b&b to replace our defunct caravan holiday (well 3 nights anyway.) It has pygmi goats and is in Melksham, Wilts - Oops is that somewhere near you? Also found an amazing windmill but will save that for a romantic getaway.
