Hellooooooo I'm here too. Back from France and smelling only slightly of garlic . Happy Bastille day steaky.

So sorry to hear of the swine flu on the thread miamla and hp. Hope you get rid of it before the DCs get it (although hopefully not at all obv ). Certainly with TS around we should all stay safe.

So glad the christening and b'day went well dizzy, albeit with a fair bit of for the ILs.

Lovely (albeit inevitably ) of all these meet-ups. I thought it was the week after next that sazzles was here dizzy? Yay for sooner though!

Hooray and phew in equal measure for the better sleeping on the thread. Congrats to one and all. Mothers and babes.

Afraid I have no words of wisdom to add steaky. As others have said it's so hard to advise from afar and I get upset at other threads you see on here of people just saying 'leave him, he's a bastard, doesn't deserve you', which is far easier to say than offer real advice. Lots and lots of though. I think you're incredible to maintain such a sense of humour and be such a great mother in such a situation and living in another culture, speaking another language and away from your family must be so hard. More .

sambo303 · 14/07/2009 21:08

is that scotland's answer to shakespear, mr mcgonagol?

dizzydixies · 14/07/2009 21:08

oh dear, my poetry has scared you all off

poppysocks · 14/07/2009 21:10

Jeez, what have I stumbled into???

poppysocks · 14/07/2009 21:11

LOL sambo .

dizzydixies · 14/07/2009 21:12

thank GOD you're back Poppy, you've no idea how hard I've been working to try to keep them on the straight and narrow whilst you've abandonedus been away

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 14/07/2009 21:14

lol dizzy

poppy hope you had a lovely holiday, nice to have you back.
steaky so sorry to hear of you're hard times I won't repeat what others have said already and well. Thinkin of you though. I did respond to you on fb not sure if you saw it.

2 poorly babies here still. Although dd was a bit more herself today.
Still high temp and ds high temp seems to have come back, awful nappies too, and very croaky.
I feel better today, but still headache.
Will no doubt get kicked off soon as dh work won't let him come on for 36 hours juast in case, and he is supposed to be on nights. He will be logging on from home.
Thoughts and well wishes to all still poorly, well done on the sleeping babies.
Hi to everyone.

dizzydixies · 14/07/2009 21:17

ah no No1, what a shame its all still sounding horrid for you - early to bed and hopefully lots of sleep

poppysocks · 14/07/2009 21:18

Hi no1 . So sorry the DCs are both unwell. Fingers croseed for a better night and lots of help from your homebound DH.

LOL dizzy. Right, where do we start?

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 14/07/2009 21:19

dizzy or anyone need advice on a gift for my gorgeous and wonderful brother, who will be 18 a few days after Marcus birthday.

dizzydixies · 14/07/2009 21:21

at 18 money/ booze or itunes voucher always a bonus

pertelote · 14/07/2009 21:24

Brava, brava, encore!

Oh dear, is the show over? Oh well, hullo then. Welcome back Poppy. Steaky sorry to hear about the Reign of Terror chez vous. I think VG has said all the wisest things as usual. I am a bit at M. Knife for describing continued BFing as selfish though - not on, IMO.

We went to our last singing session today. I am going to try and find one that meets on one of my days off work once they start up again in sept but the tuesday one has been great and we'll miss it . Returning to work in 20 days...

oopsacoconut · 14/07/2009 21:25

What have you all been drinking???? Can I have some?

DH woke DD just as she fell asleep - he has a voice like a foghorn sometimes. I has taken until 9 to get her back to sleep. I do think though that she needed a poo so wanted to do it standing up.

Steaky - have have no advice except the other all talk sense and {{{{HUGS}}}}.

No1 - sound horrid keep up your fluids and the littlies too and try and rest.

Poppy - I think it is the week after the Sazzles is coming to your neck of the woods as we are meeting for the zoo next week.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 14/07/2009 21:27

I am thinking he would love one of these, he is a 'big' kid at heart and we are very similar. I know I would love this.

and booze of course

dizzydixies · 14/07/2009 21:29

poppy I am of course wrong and oops correct re the dates of Sazz however please do not tell me as that way I may get some housework done in time

pertelote am not far behind you on the return to work thing - how are you feeling about it all, I have a sick feeling in my stomach

its not about the work per say but the people, I had really hoped not to have to go back there however needs must. We were at a softplay today and one of the shift bullying cows was there and it made me feel sick, I was of course on my own having had a barney with DH with new mobile I can't work and a conversation re the price of laptop repair still recent in my head so not in a good mood allround

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 14/07/2009 21:32

aww dizzy its awful she is making you feel like that. I would smack her in the gob for you.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 14/07/2009 21:33

do you think this would be cruel
