to all with ill children, you are in my scattered and random thoughts.

I'm loving the idea of the t-shirt or, as I originally typed, the tr-sh*ts

Baby Godzilla weighed in at 13lb 9oz today - he's 12 weeks on Saturday. Tomorrow he eats Northwich having devoured most of the other Vale Royal towns!

Hello all

just playing catch-up again

Seems to be quite a bit of sickness and tiredness about - lots of hugs and thoughtsfor all you suffering.

And a few relationship wobbles - feel for you on that from as not too rosy in this flower garden either . Mind you I'm off to see my mum for a few days in two weeks time - taking O to meet her for the first time so DH will have DS1 and DD all to himself for 4 days.....hoping for a bit more understanding from him when I get back

going to catch up a bit more now.....arrgh, just realised am missing Torchwood, sorry you've been trumped

Schulte · 08/07/2009 21:16

Teething I am keeping all my fingers crossed that H won't get any teeth until 10 months or so, like her big sister. We never had any troubles. Sympathies to all babies and mums!

Hello Kaz, nice to see you isn't it funny how they look around when you hold them in a sitting position - H sticks her head out like a little turtle.

Bleu a 3 hour walk, that's impressive!

We had a package magically appearing at the front door today but it was only shirts for DH

Off to German thread, I started a fight there earlier today!

mathshoneybunny27 · 08/07/2009 21:28

oooh dentinox is safe from birth and only costs 1.24 from tesco....seems to have worked for now

night all ! xx

Bicnod · 08/07/2009 21:59

blimey. just had one of our child-free couple friends pop over for dinner (they brought dinner - legend!) on the spur of the moment. they've just gone and it was fab maybe we can have a social life again oneday... we only had one beer in the house however that is very very sad indeed.

right, off to dreamfeed my wayward son - fingers crossed he sleeps a little longer tonight...

sending huge hugs to everyone with poorly children, sleep deprivation and other s

p.s. Nutty - love the t-shirt, might get one for my little godzilla too

staryeyed · 08/07/2009 22:59

Hi everyone. I haven't checked in with you all for ages. I don't have much to say- very sleep deprived with 2 non sleeping children. Trying to work a routine for both children but not currently working. I hope you are all enjoying your babies.

mathshoneybunny27 · 09/07/2009 07:55

staryeyed i feel your pain ! (( o))

frekkles · 09/07/2009 08:06

ok, fifth night of the young man waking up at midnight, 130pm, 3am, 5am and 7am. And he won't settle in between either without a full on production of white noise, waltzing, finger sucking and rocking. Screaming in pain, legs rigid and full of farts and a temperature of 38.5

Coincedently it's also the fifth night since he had his 8 week jabs. I say coincedently because apparently that's what it is. I took him to the doctors yesterday and apparently he's got a cold and nothing to do with his jabs. grrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

gutted really. he was reliably sleeping 9pm till 3am ish, sometimes later before the jabs. i'm exhausted and spent most of last night in tears. I so don't want to tske him for the other jabs now. . bastard doctors broke my baby

Northernlurker · 09/07/2009 08:10

B52s - if you search my posts on your threads you'll find what I wrote for Schulte when she heard about their murmur. I'm sorry but I need to get off to work in a minute so haven't time to retype now but suffice to say I've been there and I know what anxiety it can provoke. I'm around most days if you want to talk more - will keep an eye out. There are lots of other mums on here with babies with congenital heart defects - if the murmur is at all significant of one. 1 in 100 births will be affected by this - pretty high odds really. Just DON'T GOOGLE - you will terrify yourself!

Bleuravin · 09/07/2009 08:16

Morning everyone hope everyone manged to catch so good zzzz's last night. Here's to having a positive day all round! Hiphip Hoooray!

Meg was much more cheery this morning and is down for more sleep again. Fingers crossed that it means we'll have a better day today. I really should be sleeping myself but I can't seem to turn off.
We took out the 6pm feed last night and so just fed at 8 and 9.30 and we seem to have the same results, so may mean that we don't need as many feeds, which would be nice for when we want to go out in the evenings.

In other news (not that y'all really want to know) I finally got my period again. I was just getting worried and was going to take another preggy test this morning, but no need. Blessings and nonblessings all in one little package.

Pleased to hear about the socialising going on. Hopefully we all manage some RL social lives to help us feel normal again

If I seem a little upbeat it's because it's sunny ( and I had dairy milk for breakfast )

hugs

Bleuravin · 09/07/2009 08:21

Oh frekkles not good. Damn those doctors! (until we need them again and they tell us what we need to hear) It could be that the jabs lowered/stressed his immune system a bit which allowed in the cold which is distrupting your nights.
Try to get as much sleep as you can again during the day and hopefully in the next few days things settle back to the better cycle.

PuzzleRocks · 09/07/2009 08:58

Good morning

Apparently my little brother will be joining us for lunch today, which is nice as he has yet to meet Holly. He only lives 25 minutes away. Grr.

Maths - A is biting??????? Ellen didn't bite until she was over a year old. I would remove my nipple every time and tell her firmly until she got the message but I don't think that will work with a 3 months old. . Poor you.

Nutty - Poor Phoenix. And you, not being able to comfort her. How absurdly bureaucratic. I'm sorry it spolied the day for you both.

Kali - Don't be too sad sweetheart, it sounds like it will be a good move for all of you under the circumstances.

B52's - I hope it's not serious. It does sound like you have the stats on your side. Fingers crossed for you both.

Schulte - German thread? You started a fight? Is it worth us looking or is it in German?

Staryeyed - Poor you. Have you tried looking for advice among the sleep threads?

Frekkles - That's really common after jabs. Hopefully it will settle down soon. Sorry that's not at all helpful.

Bleu - I'm glad Meg seems a little better, and that you are not pregnant. I can't imagine how I would feel if I got pregnant now.
It's sunny here too, what a difference it makes.

Morning all,

Baby Godzilla kept me awake most of the night after draining BOTH quite full boobs. This does not bode well for Cheshire!

Bicnod · 09/07/2009 09:46

Kali - how did it go with the transfer to the cot last night? I think I managed to get about 5 1/2 hours sleep (broken of course) which is definite progress... we did the dreamfeed at 10.00pm then he woke at at 1.20am and fed for an hour (and filled TWO nappies in the process), then again at 4.50am for 25mins. He grunted around from 5.15am until 6.30am when he woke up and DH took him next door so I could get a final hour of sleep

for your troubles with your DH... I hope getting back to sharing a bed will help.

Bit embarrassed to admit it but DH and I haven't done the deed yet since Oscar was born - I'm really scared as I tore quite badly and had lots of stitches... he's not pushing the issue bless him, but I know he'd like to get on with it and so would I... not quite sure how to get over my mental block about it...

Bleu - so glad Meg seems better today I am of your dairy milk for breakfast...

Frekkles, you poor thing have you given him any calpol? O was really fretful afer his 8 week jabs but the calpol worked a treat...

Mathshoney - have you tried both infacol and dentinox for wind? We've only been using infacol but if dentinox works might consider switching as O is soooo windy/farty...

Bleuravin · 09/07/2009 10:43

Oh yes the transfer! Kali how did it go?

I have to say that when Dh and I moved back in the same bed it started getting better for us. Things get strained when we cannot spend anytime at all together. It can be a lonely business it seems being a parent sometimes.

As for doing the deed...it took me a while to get over things too. But I had a discussion with Dh and we took things very slow exploring where things were painful and where things were ok. We still take things carefully because I still have pain and as have mentioned I get frustrated a bit...But it's nice being close.

Bleuravin · 09/07/2009 10:57

why do children's programs have super bright solid colors? it's very strange.

Bleuravin · 09/07/2009 11:09

no for a snack I'm eating a bowl of oatmeal...life is so topsy turvy

Kalikaroo · 09/07/2009 11:40

Hi everyone!

Well.....last night I put A in his new cot at 9.45pm and he woke up for his first feed of the night at 1.30am! That's nearly 5 hours!!!!!!!! That's the longest he's ever slept for!!!!! Woo hoo!!!!

After that he did his usual waking up at 3-ish, 5-ish and 7-ish, but I didn't mind because I was expecting him to scream the place down and hate his cot, but he actually doesn't mind it! I think he may not have even noticed that he was in a cot....

Today is DH's and my anniversary, so I think he will be moving back into our bed tonight (last night he was still on the couch for the cot trial run). I'm pretty sure A was conceived on our last anniversary, but rest assured that will not be happening this time! In fact I will be extremely surprised if we even do the deed.... We're still not getting on AT ALL.

Well, I can live in hope.

Kalikaroo · 09/07/2009 11:41

oops, that should have been that I put him in his cot at 8.45pm
