our routine is none existent! i've been resisting a night time one as it seems to mean that we're stuck with always having to be in the house each night, but i do generally give the wee man his last feed between 8 and 9 and then he settles himself in his hammock. he then sleeps usually till 330 ish and feed, wind, settle for an hour, then back to sleep till 7 ish. then sometimes another sleep till 9 ish, but more often not. then the days are a differing combinstion of naps, plays and feeds, depending on his requirements and what we're doing.

last night tho he woke up at midnight, took an hour and a half to settle, slept till 2 then fed until 4 am, then took two hours to settle and then slept for another hour . now todays he's napping constantly. he's been like this since he had his jabs on friday, really hope it doesn't last. i'm knackered!

Schulte! slaps wrist don't turn the oven up when baking! That'll be where you've been mistaken!

dxx

We do encourage Meg to sleep wherever because we don't want to be stuck being in a certain place at a certain time either (we have friends whose baby will only -apparently - sleep in his cot so they have to be home at all regulated naptimes and bedtimes. I've never spent a day with them to actually see if he falls asleep anywhere else. But I think he must sleep in the car. I've never known a baby not to sleep in a car.)

Schulte · 07/07/2009 15:58

Ouch! Thanks Dawn, won't do it again!

Bleuravin · 07/07/2009 16:00

bicnod '...vegetable slop to put on pasta...' my mother used to make the exact same

purplemonkeydishwasher · 07/07/2009 16:04

just popped in for a moment

re: teething. DS got his first 2 teeth at 20 weeks. and he was pretty grizzly for a few weeks up to taht.

swali - i second what Boff said about you FIL having to leave the room when you nurse beth. It's YOUR house. you were respectful in his house now he needs to do the same.

omg nutty! Meg's SO not big compared to that you should be pleased

PuzzleRocks · 07/07/2009 16:13

Where did the nice weather go?

Conker - How did the viewings go?

Dawn - You're a foodie? Cool, we do like our experts on the April mums thread.

Brettgirl - I think the natural route really appeals because I have just about had enough of being at the mercy of hormones, synthetic or otherwise.
Maybe a diaphragm would be wise?

Naked cleaners. Do you think they ever get a booking where some actual just wants them to clean the house?

Boff - How is your DD? Any diagnosis yet?

Nutty - I know what a cwtch is? Have one back {{hug}} What the devil did the rest mean?

Surprise - Holly is laughing, it's wonderful.

meg's still asleep but everytime i try to get up she squawks...put her on the breast just now when she squawked cuz it's basically feeding time, ate for a couple of big swallows then fell back asleep...really not sure about what to do...

Bleuravin · 07/07/2009 16:22

dh just emailed saying we can get the patio done before the end of summer and do the tiling he's been wanting in the bathrooms...suggests he's/we've got money suddenly...but where would he've got money? The contract he's got is crap pay... ?!?

PuzzleRocks · 07/07/2009 16:25

Swaliswan - I'm sorry you are having a tough time. Does DH know how you feel? If you can't seem to talk with out him being defensive, would he be open to counselling. Maybe mediation would help?
I would ask your FIL to leave the room is he has a problem. Why should B's comfort be secondary to his?

phdlife - How the dickens are you?

EIGHTEEN POUNDS???????

Bicnod · 07/07/2009 17:35

18lb?! Woweeeeeeeeee that is seriously impressive...

Bleuravin · 07/07/2009 17:39

right, Meg's now acting like she wants to throw up... her tummy gurgles and then she opens her mouth up wide and acts like she's choking
Can babies vomit? do they have a vomiting reflex? Could she be that ill if I'm not?

Bleuravin · 07/07/2009 17:42

should I be worrying?

Bleuravin · 07/07/2009 17:48

she doesn't seem particularly upset though... she's sitting on my lap not crying

Bicnod · 07/07/2009 17:52

Has she got a temperature Bleu? And has she had wet nappies today?

Bleuravin · 07/07/2009 17:55

no temp and vry wet nappies...though over night there was no wetness.

brettgirl2 · 07/07/2009 17:55

I really don't know Bleu, maybe call NHS direct? She may just have a bit of an upset tummy.

Nutty are you sure that the scales weren't broken or someone was leaning on them?

Swali stand up for your rights girl, it's your house and don't get pushed around. I went round to see friend this afternoon and we were discussing the strain that new babies put on relationships. I think that is quite normal tbh.

Puzzle I looked at the diapram option but didn't think the squatting motion for insertion sounded particularly romantic .

Bicnod · 07/07/2009 17:56

could be a bit of a tummy bug maybe? that would make sense with yellow sick and mucousy (sp?!) poo...

Bicnod · 07/07/2009 17:58

i think i'd call NHS direct like brettgirl suggests... will hopefully put your mind at rest...

Bleuravin · 07/07/2009 18:04

if babies are/ will be allergic to something and you eat it then bf them do they have a reaction? ...I was thinking I had soy milk
