Evening

Sazzles - I had a nightmare with the car this morning I took the insurance certificate to them and the insurance place had put the wrong registration number on the certificate so I needed to chase them and they faxed it but it was no good as I needed the originals to get tax, I eventually found a post office that didn't check the details too well and issued the tax disc. So I got my car at 2 and then DD and I went grocery shopping (we know how to live)

Dizzy - I believe the phrase is - STOP GOOGLING if you are worried then go and see the GP but don't get yourself worried by google.

Hi No1

DD stood up in the middle of the floor by herself today and scared herself to tears. She did it on the lawn and when I clapped she was very proud of herself. she can only stand for 30 or so seconds but loved it. We bought her a pushalong and she loved it but then fell over so no longer wants to play with it

We looked at a buggy for her but she is still so little she couldn really reach the handles so I left it to DH to choose and he got this but with no batteries

LoveBuckets · 22/06/2009 20:47

Well I've managed to drop Kurt's head on a vertical bit of the changing table today and later whacked it against a doorframe. Aah, concussion don't half make em sleep well.

Been to see private endocrinologist who says I probably had a low-for-me post-partum thyroid dip but my tests show my levels are increasing so it is sorting itself out. But he's going to do some tests for unlikely rare illnesses and also decided prescribe me beta blockers (or similar) for my migraines in the meantime. I forget how horrendous my migraines are, I'm so used to battling through them, but he was pretty horrified at the idea of being in charge of 3 small kids with tunnel vision, speech difficulty and numb hands. Tsk, men are such wimps.

Top tentbuying tip: Make sure it has a Sewn-in Groundsheet. We adored our massive tent but the separate groundsheet added flippin ages to the set-up time which of course puts everyone in a foul mood.

Evening everyone.

Glad(? - only as she's ok of course) to see Emma living up to the thread title Sazzles!

Golly Dizzy you can't be the first to go, who would bake for the funeral?!

Sambo were you asking about a london meet? There is nothing planned, but we should, shouldn't we?! Early birthday party/last chance before ML ends etc. I go back to work beginning of August so would definitely be up for something in July... Your allotment sounds great BTW. We harvested some of our very small crop this weekend - at all the peas in one go and have a good sized bowl of blackcurrants ready to make ice cream.

Oops you sound energetic! Chasing around for car paperwork AND making pasta - you are feeling well ATM then?!

Hi No1! Hope you get another good night.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 22/06/2009 20:57

buckets I used to be on beta blockers for my migraines.

Aahh it is so nice to be among friends. Especially when those friends admit to having a home that is just as battle worn as mine. Someone PLEASE come do my laundry.

Dizzy can we both hold hands and step away from Google. I curled up with my Blackberry last night googling pregnant after vasectomy...[hoping]that would make me feel less stressed at the moment. Shall I say IT DID'T! Ladies the whole sterilization bit is crock! 1 in 200. 1 in 200! I know I read 50 stories of women who thought they were safe BUT GOT PREGNANT! Anyone considering a hysterectomy?

Lovely day here. Reese has broken out from something. She's spotty. DD1 has played the crappiest of crappy Christmas song over and over and over. Did anyone see that her GRANDMOTHER actually commented on that on my FB page??? Geez!

Chicken Enchilada Soup with Corn Bread for dinner.

OH I purchased Reese her first pair of shoes. Little New Balance Joggers!!!

TwilightSurfer · 22/06/2009 22:08

Her shoes look very similar to these but with pink around the N.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 22/06/2009 22:19

LoL ts you are so funny. 1 in 200 is pretty shocking though
Well My dh (you know the one who DOES NOT want anymore EVER) relies on the 'withdrawel (sp?) technique so tell me how reliable that is then, on my most fertile day too.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TwilightSurfer · 22/06/2009 22:36

no1 I hear you! I keep trying to find faith in the procedure and at the same time paying close attention to those PEAK days. Building that WALL OF PILLOWS!!

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 22/06/2009 22:37

lol

TwilightSurfer · 22/06/2009 22:48

Buckets I got that "low for you" statement from my doc regarding my progesterone. BTW I've not purchase my first batch progesterone cream yet. Trying something new like that and going out of town the same week just didn't seem smart. NEXT CYCLE!

dizzydixies · 22/06/2009 23:10

got Dr in the morning so shall run it past her am convinced thats what it is though so was salad for tea here

off to bed as had a committee meeting all night and it all starts again in the morning

night all

TwilightSurfer · 23/06/2009 01:22

Morning Expectant! Hope you've made it to work on time. How's was Sam's night?

TwilightSurfer · 23/06/2009 01:27

Reese finished her bottle, holding it all by herself like a big girl. I then wisked her off to her bed where she grumbled only a small bit then curled up to sleep. Poor thing has been fussy this afternoon. The spottiness is mostly around her mouth so I assume that means something she ate is the culprit. The only odd thing was one waffle fry from Chick-Fi-La. I think that was the only odd thing today. Might have been the oil. She's never had anything oily.

I'm very proud of her traveling around our house this evening in her new running shoes. There's a pic on my FB wall that makes me smile.

TwilightSurfer · 23/06/2009 01:29

Dizzy after a little thinking I must agree with you on the diagnosis. Gallbladder issues are such the norm for girls of our age. There can be small flair ups before THE BIG ONE hits. It's good that you are on top of things. Dr DizzyDixies sounds very fitting by the way.

TwilightSurfer · 23/06/2009 01:32

OMG I have to run and go water dd1's tomato plant. Just thankful she wanted a plant and not a dog.

Expectant · 23/06/2009 02:54

Hi TS

Yes I made it to work on time. Sam's night was fine thanks for asking but ours wasn't. The air-con in our bedroom is well and truly kaputt so after no sleep and a few sweaty hours in bed (not due to DH's making). I finally got up and made up the spare bed but didn't really get to sleep until about 3am and of course DS woke at 5am right on cue.

He still has cough and cold - a bit of a croupy sounding cough but thought that only came with cold weather? We have humidifier on in his room.

No 1 not too sure about milk intake as still bfing and have never succeeded with bottle but he's only on 3 bfs a day now. He just doesn't seem fussed about food at all and has never cried from hunger from about 4 months on.

Dizzy well done for self diagnosis. I know someone who had these and the pain was tremendous hoping you have managed to misdiagnose after all.

Well done on tooth miniestsazzles and standing up minioops.

Miamla · 23/06/2009 08:19

morning all
ooh, looks like the cruciate ligment club is a very fine club indeed to be a member of. I'll be able to confirm my membership status later on today

expectant I could have written exactly the same about DS. He's not fussed about food either unless its bread and butter or yoghurt. He's a fussy little wotsit! Although he will occasionally eat a savory flapjack (v easy to make)

dizz pleased to hear you're off to the docs. pain like that needs a non-google doctor!

ts don't think i've said it yet so well done on Reese's sleep! sounds like you're cracking it!
keep forgetting to ask you... is your middle name on FB your maiden name?

no1 DP tried suggestng that technique to me. lets just say he didn't get very far!

sazz how long was the list of requirements???!

buckets hope Kurt's not too dazed this morning. T's got a new bruise on his face this morning, I have no idea what tumble caused it!

oops well done on perservering with the car tax. a lesser woman (ie me) would definitely have given up!

london meetup yup! put me down as a yay!
i think this is the list so far so just add your name if you're interested and then we can start a FB message to sort out dates

morning all

sazzles I have tent envy ; joining you on the diet after trying on my small jeans yesterday and found 2 inches of muffin top that has grown since dp has been off work and we have indulged in cake and chocs orgy (the only type of orgy going on round here btw)

dizzy hope your appt today puts your mind at rest, it sounds a very scary experience.

ts how cute, first shoes. I think I'll probably save ds's as a momento (have not purchased any yet as we are a loooong way from walking); 1 in 200!

expectant sounds a difficult night, hope you managed to get through the working day ok

buckets hope beta blockers work for your migraines, I've only had one migraine since having ds thank goodness, was not fun

pert congrats on your harvest, blackcurrent ice cream is my favourite flavour. I agree, a London meet up in July!

oops well done dd on standing, it's a lovely stage just now with the babies accomplishing these everyday things for the first time, it just makes you so proud doesnt it

ds woke at 2 last night, dp settled in a short time. It's fab to know I dont have to get up in the wee small hours again

sambo303 · 23/06/2009 08:34

morning miamla!

what savoury flapjack recipe do you use? I tried one but they came out too dry and crumbly

bit horrified - just been looking at childminding threads to get a list of questions together for interviews and came across this comment from one childminder to another:

"it might be necessary to do a bit of controlled crying (hate it myself and wouldnt do it on my own until at least 1 but as cm's we sometimes have to do what is necessary)"

feel a bit tearful now at the thought of leaving ds with a cm - how do you know what really goes on? depressed
