Ok an standing on my head now then

Marthasmama · 05/06/2009 22:14

Did it work? I would suffocate if I stood on my head!

jenwa · 05/06/2009 22:17

No, I have head rush and my boobs are no bigger and my belly just flops up instead of down!

Marthasmama · 05/06/2009 22:21

Ah, well. At least the head rush was fun eh?!

jenwa · 05/06/2009 22:25
Grin
jenwa · 05/06/2009 22:26

think it may have been the champagne too that we opened as never got round to it for out anniversary. DH is sleeping on the sofa

Honeymoonmummy · 05/06/2009 22:47

Hi all, this is literally a hello and goodbye as I'm off to bed. I only had my tea an hour ago! I'm sorry I've not been around much and I hope you're all keeping well. I might have to write off the bits I've missed so apologies if I've missed anything huge. All the best everyone, will hopefully get on for longer tomorrow!

Marthasmama · 05/06/2009 22:50

Awww... did the champagne make him sleepy?

I am so forgetful today....

M isn't as physically advanced as she would like to think. She was sitting with me on the floor and decided she wanted a tub of eczema cream and lent forward to get it. She toppled forward before I could grab her and smashed her cheek bone on the tub. She has a big bruise on her cheek. She's fine but looks like she's been fighting!

I was going to ask something about BLWing so maybe CSWS will know. My mum commented on the fact that M doesn't dribble. DS dribbled constantly, so much so that he needed two bibs on at a time. Could it be the BLWing? It makes sense as they dribble until they learn to swallow saliva which they tend to do by a year, but as she is learning to eat and swallow chunks of real food rather than purees, then could she have skipped the dribbling phase? Or are some babies just dribbly and others not?

bigmouthstrikesagain · 05/06/2009 22:57

Hllo MM - I don't know about the difference between blw babies and non-blw babies re. dribbling but as far as I am aware some people are dribblers full stop - ds was in a bib for his entire babyhood - he is now 4 and still drools a bit when excited - the poor soul just can't help it. He can control flow by swallowing of course and is not continually slack jawed and drooling (apart from when watching tv.

Sorry I should really re-introduce myself as a October 08 mother who has been off mn for a month or so. Hope you don't mind me jumping in mid convo.

Have posted a pic of dd2 to bring myself back into loop. I will now need to catch up on all the news.

Marthasmama · 05/06/2009 23:08

I know who you are Bigmouth, I am a Smiths fan so would definitely remember you. It was just a theory as it seemed such a pronounced difference. DS is still a bit dribbly too and he's nearly 6. He also sucks his clothes a lot. Strange lad!

bigmouthstrikesagain · 05/06/2009 23:13

Thank you Martha I recall we share similar tastes - I just have just been out of the MN loop for a while and did not want to assume people would remember me.

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/06/2009 06:49

another prodigal returns! Welcome back bmsa.

Well we did feeds at 10 and 2 and then started the day at 5.25 as he had soaked through nappy, sleepsuit and sleeping bag by then. Joy .

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/06/2009 06:51

oh and dribble not related to blw.

OP posts:
jenwa · 06/06/2009 08:18

mm I think DH crashed out as had stressful week at work to be honest but champagne may have helped too also dont think dribble related as DD2 seems to dribble, not at all very much but DD1 never did. I always thought boys did more as its been boys I have seen been dribbly but that may jst be the boys I know (babies of course not grown men )

Hi bigmouth did I track you down last night??? I remember finding afew Oct 08 ladies lurking about hope you are well.

csws ahhh for the soaked through, I bet D was not very happy bless him but still not nice ot have to get up and do all that!

DD1 woke in the night really scared, shaking in her bed and could not speak properly from cyring because of the 'storm' although there appeared to be no thunder just heavy rain, it is scary th ough as a child

KSal · 06/06/2009 09:11

Bigmouth, i remember you as a my bloody valentine fan, think we were both wondering about the noise levels when we went to see them (though this was probably on another thread). Still recall that gig and wrapping my arms around the bump (as if that was going to make any difference!)

unless that wasn't you and i am now going to feel like a total idiot!!

Myjob - How did your DH's exams go? Also, did your dsis get back OK?

Welcome back Bigmouth!

MM- Poor M.

Ladies, Can I just tell you about my night? Ds went to bed at normal time, and only woke at 11.15, 3.30, and 6.45 for a good feed on both sides. He stirred a couple of times and I could tell he was really trying to get himself back to sleep but just not quite managing it on his own, so I put my hand in his cot and he went off again. He only woke at 7.45 because he had a wet nappy. Total non-feeding wakes: 6 minutes.

I was so excited, I slept really badly.

Honeymoonmummy · 06/06/2009 17:30

Hi all. I've only read this page. God I haven't listened to The Smiths for ages, I may go and change my screen name to SomeGirlsAreBiggerThanOthers. Perhaps that could be the name of the next thread?

Hello Bigmouth! I'm afraid I don't remember you but I'm a relative late-comer.

Poppy slept 11 hours straight last night!!

aubergenie · 06/06/2009 19:20

11 hours! Blimey. I'd be up and down wondering what was wrong if S ever did that.

loulou33 · 06/06/2009 20:02

Was going to post something fairly dull but ER is on channel 4 so must dash, catcha later

Honeymoonmummy · 06/06/2009 20:17

Wake up and check on her? yeah, that probably would have been a good idea.

I've just finished reading the OLD thread, gonna start the new one now!

I miss takeaway

pepperrabbit · 06/06/2009 20:21

evening all,
aubergenie, well done for DS sleeping better - perhaps it'll be your go tonight
We continue to have to get up 3 or 4 times a night just to settle J, very ocassionally she'll sleep through but last night it was 3/4/5 & 6am then the DSs got up! Luckily I've trained them to come downstairs, turn on the TV and watch CBeebies till Mummy gets up.....DD then sort of slept till 8am and we pretended to have a lie in.. I do wonder how many years it will be till I get to read a Sunday paper properly, and then I think, is that really important??
I have had a glass of rose on an empty tummy - can you tell?
