OMG sorry, just seen the pikeist boy walk up the road in a red velour tracksuit thinking he was cool I thought women in pink ones with their thongs showing were bad enough (sorory if anyone wears them but OMG they make me cringe) Its as if Britney and paris wore one so they are cool anyway this lads were about 3 sizes too big!!!

loulou33 · 12/06/2009 14:59

Sorry about your mum Jenwa - both thoughtless sometimes aren't they?? Mine just called and annoyed me - she didn't mean to just didn't think...

DS1 now won't drink or eat as mouth too sore - doc given new anti-histamine but need to get fluids into him asap. She says this is as severe a case of cp as they have had locally this year- great. Local phrarmacists did not have the anti-histamine she prescribed so dh has had to go about 20 miles away to get it - ffs. Now trying to bribe him with ice-cream and sweets to get him to drink something. Oh and doc says the worst is yet to come as days 4 and 5 (today and tom) will see more spots (is this possible??)

Sorry i'll stop whinging soon....got to ds1 crying again

Oh Loulou - What cockend cockend said that? I suppose that measles is caused by not bathing children often enough or letting them play with toys that are too old for them? What a load of tosh. You're a great mummy and there is no way that CP is caused by a poor diet! Are you sure you didn't accidentally look up scurvy?

Jenwa - Poor dd. Tonsillitis is horrible, I used to get it twice a month until I had my tonsils taken out at 18. At least you know what it is now though. Hope she gets well soon. Was the lad doing that limping 'cool' walk too?

Myjob - You're really suffering with non-sleep grumpy babies eh? I'm sure these light evenings don't help at all. Hope they get some sleep tonight for your sake as much as their's.

We just had lunch at Leon at Bluewater and it was very yummy indeed. They do childrens' meals and M had grilled chicken with rice and peas. It had no added salt either. She made loads of mess but seemed to really enjoy it!

loulou33 · 12/06/2009 16:27

Glad you had a nice day MM - you deserve it..Yeah i'm sooo tired i typed scurvy instead of chicken pox, easy mistake to make The web page is here jsut so i am not going mad!!!

Myjpb - sorry N won't sleep either, its pants. I'll swap my two for yours if you want!!

Jenwa - sorry about the tonsilitis - hope its better soon

DS1 is better with new meds but it is non-drowsy so one dose in the daytime only....will have to use gin to get him to sleep tongiht

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/06/2009 19:03

What utter garbage about 'persistent wrong feeding'. Sorry he's having such a tough time of it loulou. Hope that tonight is at least a bit better for you all (well, except Joe - I'm not sure that nights get better than 13 hours straight!).

Sorry about tonsilitis too Jenwa, but glad it's that in preference to meningitis!

Ds fast asleep in bed by 6:45 tonight. He only got a 20 min nap on the way to a party this morning (had tried to put him to sleep a couple of times earlier in the morning, but I would walk back in to find him sitting up holding on to the top of the cot with a cheeky grin on his face), and then he fell asleep on the way back from the party and we left him in the car on the drive (with my door wide open for ventilation natch), but after 30 mins I found dd lying across his lap chatting to him. I was furious that she had climbed in and woken him, as I knew that he would be desperately tired before his normal bedtime. Let's hope he does some extra sleep tonight, or else I'll be up v early in the morning.

Thanks CSWS - i thought it was twaddle too but in my sleep dpreived emotional state it was just another straw on the back iyswim. Its annoying when they get woken up like that - ds1 is always trying to wake Joe as he loves to play with him...Hope D manages to sleep a bit longer tomorrow - Joe sends him an hour or two of his sleep to help him on his way - is 13 hours a record? It is i nthis house anyway!

DS1 was hysterical this pm for about an hour and nothing we did could calm him down he was so itchy. DH and i both ended up in tears as it was heart wrenching. He managed to calm himself down just as i was putting Joe to bed and he said to dh, 'can you give Joe a kiss goodnight for me as i covered in cream...' that made us both cry, he's so sweet with Joe and so brave for putting up with cp and 2 parents who feel totally useless at helping him..never felt so crap as this before and so hlepless - i have no idea how parents with really ill or chronically kids cope..

Marthasmama · 12/06/2009 20:38

Loulou - Oh bless him, poor little man. It's made me feel a bit teary as I know how sweet little boys are. It must be so frustrating and confusing for such a little man. I expect you've tried everything but have you tried a cool bath? Oh and it's funny how things you know are utter rubbish can really knock your confidence when you're feeling low.

CSWS - Very frustrating about dd, but that is pretty cute too. I know you probably don't think so but she clearly loves her little brother.

Oh no Myjob - That's so horrible for you and poor ds. Have you spoken to your HV to see if she has any ideas for a way forward?

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/06/2009 21:25

myjob.

I know that she adores him MM. My mum told dh tonight that she'll have dd for the summer if we like (jokingly I assume), but I said that she wouldn't want to go without ds, however much fun nanny is.

CSWS - What a cutie. DS refused to go to America with the in-laws as he didn't want to go without M. It would have been over my dead body anyway so it was lucky he didn't want to go!

Oh and I meant that you probably didn't think she was cute when she woke D up. Just re-read my comment and it sounded like I was saying you didn't think dd loved D! Not what I meant at all!

Marthasmama · 12/06/2009 21:38

Myjob - I think in this situation this is allowed (((((((((hugs))))))))) He won't remember anything about it in the morning.

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/06/2009 21:39

Are any of you watching 'outnumbered'? Dh told me that it was supposed to be funny, and am impressed so far. BBC1 now.

I got this nursing bra today, in pink. Am pleased with it I think, though not worn yet except to try on.

CSWS - I have a very similar one.

Myjob - He will grow out of it, but that isn't much comfort now is it? I really hope the HV can offer some pearls of wisdom. We were lucky that ds's nightmares/terrors were few and far between. I don't know how we would have coped with what you're going through, and on your own too. You're doing all you can for the moment, and making sure your little boy knows your there if you need him. Give DH a big hug when he gets home. I'm sure that will help a little bit.

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/06/2009 22:02

star - am worried about you now. Can you post to let us know if you're ok?
