evening ladies, just back from bra fitting with nct lady. Back to my old size nearly - but my rib cage has expanded 4cm since pre pg..... Anyhoo, boobs have been transformed from pendulous to perky

interesting that you give 4 solid meals dizzy - I've been trying to introduce snacks in between meals but I think I may try your schedule as ds actually seems hungry for food for the first time rather than just tossing it around and I think he needs more frequent 'substantial' meals.

Can I have some advice please? Dp drinks juices and wants to give ds juice - he does not believe the advice not to give babies juice. This is freshly squeezed carrot and apple mainly but can include spinach and pineapple and all sorts of fruits. Is this good for ds? Or will his teeth suffer?

Miamla · 08/06/2009 17:48

sorry cyteen i definitely typed you a message earlier but it doesn't seem to have appeared. i'm obviously losing my mind

hi sazz naps=rubbish. from 12-12.20,12.25-1 and despite a long walk this afternoon, he hasn't slept since

sambo sorry, can't help re juice. Nice norks though

Miamla · 08/06/2009 17:49

thank you sazzles I think the advice for restricted juice is if it's in a bottle, and ds drinks from dp's glass so should be ok. He does not like getting his teeth cleaned, but will persevere

miamla those naps were indeed rubbish. An nct friend started back at work last week and the childminder told her her dd's naps were 2 hours in the morning and she was most surprised as her dd's naps are usually short. The childminder said she 'anticipated tiredness' so her dd just fell asleep and stayed asleep at nap time. Hope T sleeps for you tonight. [fingers crossed emoticon]

hotterpotter · 08/06/2009 19:20

TS hope you have all calmed down. Poor DD2, and poor you. It's terrifying isn't it. On a separate note, why oh why did you post that link on facebook? I have spent half the afternoon drooling over which house I would choose if I came to live in Tennessee. I knew house prices were a bit cheaper over there but really I could get a house 3 times the size

Sambo great norks

Sazzles must be hard to say no to the cake, I couldn't do it

Hey ALBS how is DD? I hope she's feeling better

Miamla glad your DP is helping . I think trying to get them back to sleep after some nap depends on what state they're in - crying and eye-rubbing then back to sleep, chattering and smiling then up. DS seems to have got into the habit of sleeping 1-2 hours in the morning and 1-2 hours in the afternoon (but never more than 3 hours in total) but still sleeps OK at night. Is there any way you could get him to take longer daytime naps - drugs pram/sling/rocking/anything? It sounds counter-intuitive but I really think the better they nap during the day, the better they sleep at night.

Cyteen glad you had a good weekend with SIL I too miss the cousins my DC should have, but that is because my sister is a slacker gay. No chance of accidentally getting knocked-up and way too un-settled to consider having one at all anyway. It's a shame because if she sorted herself out she would be a great mum, but really at 37 she is still a teenager

Bedtime now, wish it was my bed time too...

Bonsoir!

Right - absolutely no chance of me catching up so will wish you all happy, healthy, sleeping and teething babies. And your evening beverage and cake of choice.

We are back in the land of Frenchyness and guess what - tis blardy raining! hurumph.

Glad to be back, despite DH seeming to have been wearing grumpy-pants for the first couple of days of our return. Ah well, he seems to have chirped up a bit yesterday and today.

sambo303 · 08/06/2009 21:02

bonsoir right back at-cha steak

ca-va? (that's about the sum total of my French so please answer in English!)

sambo303 · 08/06/2009 21:03

screaming from upstairs - must be 9 o clock

oopsacoconut · 08/06/2009 21:12

Hi all

Hello Steaky - Hope the break has been good relationship wise for you and DH.

Dizzy - I was watching your monologue but was tied up trying to cut DD nails. Hope the OK reading book club goes well.

Hi Cyteen, Sazzles, Miamla, Sambo, Hotter

pertelote · 08/06/2009 21:27

That's a good alarm clock you've got there Sambo!

Bonsoir Steaky! Bon retour! Glad DH has realised that being nice is a better way of showing he missed you than being grumpy...

Sazzles refusing cake sounds very virtuous, well done - or were you just leaving room for Dizzy's baking extravaganza?!

Oops and ALBS hope your DDs are ok...

Cyteen . Hope this week is going ok.

Miamla yikes to those naps. We get one short (35mins) in the morning and then either two more short or one long (1h30-2h). If nothing else works then the pushchair round the block does. I'm keeping a record of them this week for the first time in months so I can see if it does make any difference to the nights... Last night DH had to get up to pick her up because apparently I was sleeping through her crying - oops . Didn't think I was so especially tired but that is the first time I've done that. He tried rocking and didn't know what else to do so delivered her to me in bed! Lovely guy, he does need his sleep though so I will try to be more responsive tonight... else some poor student will get their marks added up wrong and end up with an undeserved third!

to everyone else. That's Monday out of the way...

Miamla · 08/06/2009 21:37

dizz i'm sure i speak for everyone when i say, we're pathetically fond of you too! in fact, i'd say that about all you girls, we really are a fab group

hi to all the rest of ya
think lots of get well thoughts for albs, she's worried she might have what her DD has

oopsacoconut · 08/06/2009 21:40

I just looked back at our last thread before the LOs were born and there were 63 people on the tread - only the hardy have survived!

Miamla · 08/06/2009 21:42

more like the hardy ones have scared the other ones off!
