AngeG · 17/06/2009 11:59

at all the Take That songs!!

SPB - It does say it can be an experienced mother/friend, so I'm getting one of my friends who has known me since Jake was born and has also BF to write mine. IKWYM about the home study thing, it would be good to have a combination of the two!

Hello everyone

TheAbsentThreadPA · 17/06/2009 12:14

Oh my word, never mind hairy truckers, you lot are all 15yr old schoolgirls pretending to be mothers over 30 (obviously I am excluding Dippy/Caz/Myself from the ageist comment!)

Looks like I may be joining you more often very soon. Told my boss today that I'm leaving, will hand formal notice in this week and leave last day of school term. Reached my breaking point yesterday so took the decision to get out before it falls apart around me and then just wait and see where life takes me. Will be temping over the summer and after that who knows, maybe Uni.

Stinking headache and very tired, but the cute shredding man came today so not all bad

enjoy TT you mad women

El
x

TheAbsentThreadPA · 17/06/2009 12:17

Ooh, and we'll be in Brighton for the day on Sunday if anyone's around (Dippy already been dragged along!)

oooggs · 17/06/2009 12:18

RUNNY, MJ - yes I was shouting

dh said last night, I really like TT's latest release, I wish I had bought us you tickets now

OohGaryBarlow · 17/06/2009 13:03

Oooggs, get some tickets from ebay, they seem to be selling around face value (the ones I looked at for Cardiff were anyway).

Runny, what are you wearing?! I need to know because the weather is pants. Had planned to wear summery attire and sandally type shoes, but that is not going to happen now. I refuse to get cold and wet, not even for Gary!

Good to see you PA x (yes, a whole kiss just for you!)

OohGaryBarlow · 17/06/2009 13:05

Runny, do you know who the support acts are? James Morrison is one and I quite like him!

runnyhabbit · 17/06/2009 13:49

OGB - I am wearing skinny jeans, sleeveless tunic style top, gold ballet pumps, and a long brown cardi over top. Talking to a friend who went last night, and she told me it gets very hot, (the roof was closed)so I would go with what you were going to wear, and put a cardi on top, so you can tie round your waist in there, iyswim

Gary Go and James Morrison are supporting.

PA - v good to see you

OOOGGS - agree with OGB, there are still some floating around. I think dh would secretly like to be going, but couldn't/wouldn't possibly admit it

OohGaryBarlow · 17/06/2009 14:18

Thanks Runny!

StealthPolarBear · 17/06/2009 14:55

Hope you all have a good time
Hi PA! Glad you are leaving work and will become a full time MNer !

OP posts:
CaptainDippy · 17/06/2009 19:31

Yes, PA - much more productive Can't wait to see yooooou on Sunday (Managed to get Mr Grumpy to agree ) YEY!!

LOL @ all the TT talk - ENJOY!!

TheAbsentThreadPA · 17/06/2009 23:08

am thinking that you should perhaps stop calling him Mr Grumpy or he might be reversing that decision

lots of job applications ready to post tomorrow. if nothing comes up before I leave work then it doesn't really matter, but if I don't look I might miss something just right for me.

I'd be lost not working at all, but I would like to be doing less hours and closer to home.

Was asked if I'd consider full-time, which would solve the problem of being part-time with a full-time workload, but not the complete exhaustion I feel at spending so long commuting.

M was off sick for a week not long ago and I needed either none or minimal dose of my meds that week, now I'm back at work I often need the full dose to get through a day.

Time for change

How is LeakyR's number 2 April baby getting on?

And the SPB bump?

I need gossip ladies!

OohGaryBarlow · 18/06/2009 10:40

Morning ladies!

Take That were awesome And now I love Gary Barlow even more than I did before
It really was an amazing show, Ange, you will love it!

On a rather shittier note I have taken my dog to the vet this morning because he had a swelling at the back of his ear, and it could be something nasty
She is trying him with some antibiotics for a week to see if it goes down, but she basically said she doesn't think it will and so he may need to get it removed surgically and go from there. I feel really about it, he is old (12 now) so an anaesthetic is a real risk for him.

PA, twice on here in one day! Be careful, you may get MN overload
Afaik Leaky's 2nd April baby is great, but her first is giving her a bit of a hard time.

Leaky, if you are around, hope you are ok xxx

CaptainDippy · 18/06/2009 12:47

Glady ou had a great night OGB about your dog though - hope it is just a simple lump that can be removed

oooggs · 18/06/2009 14:21

I can't think of any gossip, but will be back later tonight makes mental note to make up some gossip

elkiedee · 18/06/2009 18:03

OGB, sorry to hear about your dog

C is rolling over and lifting his head up, looking around as if he's thinking about crawling. Eeeekk, it seems far too soon.

StealthPolarBear · 19/06/2009 06:30

Hi everyone
OGB glad TT were good. Hope the antibiotics work on your dog's lump.
Bump is fine, thanks for asking PA.
Wow to rolling over elkie - I had deja vu when I read that post - felt as though we'd all gone back two years!

Things nit so good here, had to take C out of nursey, he has just not settled at all, spent an hour crying this afternoon. I really needed him to go, even though it was just 2 afternoons a week. So I picked him up, needed to nip into JJB for a pair of trousers and he was an absolute demon, wouldnt do anything but lie on the floor and scream.

So consequently we have both had a good old cry this afternoon.

Oh and the reason that I needed trousers was because I need to go to the gym.. because I had my first fitting for my wedding dress yesterday - only it doesnt fit.

Health wise tests came back negative, so just waiting for scan appointment now.

StealthPolarBear · 19/06/2009 17:57

oh gm How long has he been trying to settle in?
Glad your tests were -ve.
Luce - of course you're still needed - it was obviously just so much fun

runnyhabbit · 19/06/2009 19:52

L is 5 mths tomorrow, weaning well (early I know, but still later than the other 3!!) rolling to front and back again, sleeping fantastic in his cot during the day (never had that before) and slots in very well to whatever the rest of the family is doing - he is very laid back, chilled and smiley

Doobydoo · 19/06/2009 21:30

Oh GM I am sorry you are going through the mill.DS1 never settled at nursery so he didn't go!I know this is not an option for all and we have been worse off financially as we decided one of us would be around. How are you feeling re your recent results and the thought of other tests?

Hello

Have been reading but not posting- so much going on atm.

Anyway, lovely to see PA; really hope a fab job comes up that suits all your needs. Has been tough for you hasn't it? Have a hug - even though I know you don't like them!

MJ/Runny, so jealous of your trip to see TT! Really glad you both had such a great night.

MJ, any news on your dog? Hope you are ok.

SPB, blimey, what an awful night Anything come to light with T? Or was he just being a monkey?

GM, hope you are ok. You sounded very down in your post.

Luce, enjoy your last week of being a SAHM. Glad that S is happy with the childcare - makes life easier doesn't it.

Dooby, how are you doing? Any job news?

Ange, lovely to see you on here the other day as well.

Hope everyone else is ok.
