Hello

Loads of stuff going on here, esp at work. More redundancies (fortunately not me) but looks like there's going to be a big restructure. (have a feeling they will want me to work fultime) Also, a member of staff is appearing in court over indecent images on his pc. Involving children As you can imagine, emotions have been very high. Feel quite drained.

Will catch up soon
x

StealthPolarBear · 28/06/2009 17:11

runny
Hope the restructuring doesn't affect you.
Boring day here, bored bored bored

Well I'm never going to complain about boredom again - after the fun we've just had with the super-poo, the leaky nappy, the toy car and pizza and the poo splattered little boy
DH and I got to cleaning it and him up, while pretending oh it doesn't really matter - don't want him to think he's done anything naughty

Boo!

Sorry to be so absent but I'm just so knackered that I tend to nip on, have a quick look at active conversations, post a bit quickly and then go off to do something else. Very crap of me I know.

Also Wimbledon is on at the moment and I love Wimbledon, two weekends ago we were off to a wedding, last weekend I went down south to help my best friend with her baby shopping - first baby due soon and this weekend my in-laws have been around. Next weeked it's the church beach trip and dd1 is having a sleepover - whoop!

I have absolutely nothing else to say really but will try to post daily and keep you lovely ladies on my 'threads i'm on'. Our babies are over two now - HOW does this happen?????

oooggs · 28/06/2009 19:34

right I am now ready to sell my triple - don't think I could push it now

katy - hard to stay calm when things like that happen and yes he hadn't been naughty!

NL - I don't get tennis

scarlet woman bandit - sleep well

Luce was thinking about you earlier - hope to sleep well tonight

runny - thats awful

elkie - travelling with little ones is very testing - we are coming up north at the end of July - not looking forward to the travelling!

Northernlurker · 28/06/2009 19:47

Oooggs - we saw a woman pushing a triple yesterday! She had what looked like a 2 1/2 yr old girl - maybe 3 at a push and twins of at least a year, probably more like 18 months. She looked grimly determined and was moving at a cracking pace. I thought of you

Did you get the nursery cock up sorted?

oooggs · 28/06/2009 19:57

no but have been allocated a few more extra sessions - so I am accepting everything and will decide that I am doing after Christmas, would secretly like to stay off a bit longer this time

Northernlurker · 28/06/2009 20:18

Ok well things will probably work themselves out then. Just let me know if you want me to come kick butt

I will be doing some serious butt kicking tomorrow! One of our (insert expletive here) suppliers was supposed to be sending us a particular product. I first mentioned this possibility to them three weeks ago tomorrow. Two weeks ago I ordered it and a week ago I ordered more - was assured that it would be delivered by Friday. On Friday I find that not only don't they have it in this country, they don't have it in any country!!! At no point did they even hint at this possibility and if I hadn't rung
to chase we would still be in ignorance

Fortunately I was able to find another supplier who do have it - by googling their name then speaking to them on the phone at home whilst feeding B bolognase I might add! So tomorrow I will be sorting out supply of that whilst pulverising the other lying toads I mean heh it's only a renal unit, nothing they need could be at all essential right?

Doobydoo · 28/06/2009 20:22

A TRIPLEBlimmin amazing! How the heck do you do it?
Well done Elkie and SPB...and Strawberry pina coladas sound yum
Runny that is truly awful
Dippy ..yay to nose piercing...Is dh ok with it now?
Had fab day today..went to lincolnshire showground with my sister and her dp and my niece and our lot...all geared to children....circus skills, wall climbing, drumming, bands, laser tag, painting etc etc...fab time.
Caz how are you and James doing?
Went to see ds1;s teacher friday and she was fab...I showed her a letter ds1 had written[I found it in his room...I think I was meant to]Anyway she said she would phone the boys parents[3 boys].and there was lots of other positive stuff...Ds1 came home and she had called the boys out and spoken to them both outside class and they had admitted it and they apologised to ds1 ...teacher said it was up to him if he accepted the apologies...he accepted one but not the other as he didn't think he meant it!
Anyway..it was positive so we shall see how we go.She also suggested we do some 11+ practice papers with ds1 over the hols as she said she thinks he would thrive there. He had a taster day on thurs and when we left I heard some of the grammar boys saying 'Wow,what a cool name!'
He came back full of it...so we shall see how he goes.
It was weird as when we left him at 'big' school I got a flashback to when he had just been born and dp was holding him in theatre[with his scrub cap set at a rakish angle]
I am 40 thurs!
Hi to all.
Hope we all have a good week.x

Northernlurker · 28/06/2009 20:30

Oooh good luck with 11+ Dooby - I'm a product of Lincs grammar school system I hope that's a recommendation.....

oooggs · 28/06/2009 20:38

is renal important then NL?? idiots

dooby - good luck with the 11+, what are you doing for your birthday?

pic of monstrosity on the profile (thats the pushchair, not the children in it! )

Doobydoo · 28/06/2009 20:43

NL That is dreadful of them
Yes,I think you are a good example of grammar ed
OOOGGS...I am going to mum and tods with my stepmum and niece! in the morning.Milo calls it dad and tods...I have no idea why as dp has never taken him
I hope to drink pink wine at some point during the day

Doobydoo · 28/06/2009 20:45

The triple is a huge feat of engineering! But I think
You need Sherpas

oooggs · 28/06/2009 21:00

yes the huskys were having a rest

I like pink wine too (as well as Magners)

elkiedee · 28/06/2009 23:53

Dooby, you're a whole two days younger than me! Though I was born at 11 pm at night...

Oooggs, I find it hard enough pushing a double. Does getting rid of the triple mean Jack and Erin are walking?

geordieminx · 29/06/2009 09:23

Morning ladies.

Good luck -hopefully you'll be able to get on MN from work

All good here, had family wedding at the weekend which was nice, if a little stressful as these things usually are

Charlie has refused point blank to go in his pushchair since before xmas , although he is good at walking so it hasnt been too bad. I havent got round to getting rid of the pushchair yet, I'm trying to reason that its better to keep it just in case, but realistically I havent needed it since November so its unlikely.

Nothing much else to report here really, 13 weeks til wedding, 3 weeks to next uni assignment due in so need to get cracking with that.

Oh bought C a battery powered police bike yesterday, he absolutely loves it, and is demolishing zottiing round the house - as we speak. Although he keeps trying to mow down the cat

StealthPolarBear · 29/06/2009 10:19

Hi everyone, busy since the weekend
Lol at C mowing down the cat GM. How are the wedding preparations going?
NL - hope you're kicking butt!
Well I had the best night ever so far - he slept 8.30 to 6.30

OP posts:
Sexonlegs · 29/06/2009 10:41

Morning all

Busy spurt all of a sudden on here

Lovely to see NL.

GM, K is the same wth her buggy; can be quite annoying when you need to be somewhere quickly!

Runny, sorry to hear about the redundancies and worse still the other shananigans Dreadful.

MJ, hope you have had a good sleep by now

Dooby, hope you have a fab 40th! We will all raise a glass to celebrate

Elkie, well done on making such an epic journey!

Oooggs, wow a triple buggy; no wonder you have stopped using that!

Hi to everyone I have missed.

All ok here. K is showing she is 2 - really quite a handful over the weekend at times!

Mum and Dad coming over shortly and we are going for a picnic

What's everyone up to?

ScarletBandit · 29/06/2009 12:04

Hello ladies!

Weather fabulous here today, shame my hayfever seems to have gone off the scale I have been taking tablets for the last couple of months, but had to go to the pharmacy to get some eye drops yesterday as my eyes are really stinging and itchy. They have helped a bit, but not hugely. Bloody allergies!

Runny, I am not surprised there is high feeling within your office. That sort of issue really does stir people up, even though I guess the person involved hasn't actually been proven to have done anything yet? Hope the restructuring leaves you relatively unscathed. We must try and meet up in the summer holidays with the children, maybe Margam Park for a picnic?

Luce, hope work is going well for you today

SPB, that is a good night of sleeping for T! Lets hope he carries that on as a regular habit!

GM, hope the wedding preparations are coming along nicely. The mental picture of C trying to run the cat over made me laugh

SOL, enjoy your picnic

F doesn't use the pushchair much these days either, and hasn't for quite some time. Little miss independent doesn't need such transportation!

CaptainDippy · 29/06/2009 12:19

Morning

Another pushchair refuser here too

Liking the name-change Scarlet

Great to see you NL Hope you are seriously kicking some butt today laydeeee

I don't know if I mentioned, but I saw PA and her 2 boys the Sun before last, it was really lovely and they are all doing well

StealthPolarBear · 29/06/2009 12:29

T hasn't used his pushchair for a while but that's our choice more than his as DH prefers the backpack. I think he still uses mum's and MIL's every now and again

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 29/06/2009 12:30

thought that PA was going to be round more often

OP posts:
ScarletBandit · 29/06/2009 13:14

Has she actually finished work yet though? I thought she had handed in her notice, but still had a few weeks to go.

StealthPolarBear · 29/06/2009 13:22

ah that's probably it
