Ooh, very interested in the size 2 fluffles Buckets. Could you let me know how many you have? You have done brilliantly to keep up with the nappies for this long.

Sazzles- this is the second car I've lost to a head gasket problem in 9 months. The fellow who rescued me said it was very rare for it to happen at all these days ...

May I return the gift of the fabulous 'FUBAR' by offering you the rather cool 'fuckarama' which is the creation of a Derek-Draper-type lad I knew at university.

Hope the dress turns up. We are Sainsbugless here so I can't help out I'm afraid.

HiCC - the packing is painful but when you are landed it will be worth it. Hold that thought.

Sibh · 30/04/2009 15:10

I'd get DH to pick them up from a nottingham address when he's on one of his visits so uk postage ...

Albs You could always start with a few 2nd hand nappies just to use at home so you don't have to spend much...[cheesey salesman

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 30/04/2009 16:21

dizzydixies · 30/04/2009 16:33

shitey mum crown for me please, Dylan just fell down the 3 steps between the living room and dining room in her walker and I saw it as in slow motion [feel a little sick emoticon]

we were in living room, phone rang in kitchen, Dylan in walker, we have no door due to stupid renovations. I ran for phone and turned to find that my cunning dog towel to stop wheels had not worked and she made it down the first 2 steps and then tumbled just as I reached her she had a quick cry, has a slightly red cheek and after all that happened still managed not to drop her apple [thats my girl] meanwhile the poor woman (cleaner hopefully) on the phone now thinks I'm a fecking loon

Dylan is now back in walker (gets straight back in the saddle my girl), with aforementioned apple, tootling about whilst I'm going to need to lie down for at least a week. Lashings and Lashings of arnica been applied

AND text has come from her godmother to be stating that the operation she's been waiting on now for 2yrs has been scheduled for 7th May, 3 days before christening - f*cking NHS [typical emoticon]

right thats 2 things................ whats next

No1 agree completely re Chez De Sazz - sounds dreamy

VG delighted Mammy Gardenia ok

buckets BLW not an overwhelming success here either but some hand held food and some spoon food as well

CC lovely to 'see' you shall give update re Dylan when I've recovered from minor incident

dizzydixies · 30/04/2009 16:35

right so she's got me back for lazy slattern like parenting by wiping beloved apple down newly painted walls, I didn't even have them a day

Dylan is sitting up unaided for any length of time or until DD2 wipes her out
sleeping through in her cot in her own room but getting up at stupid o'clock
has 5 teeth well and truely through and 2 imminent
is about to crawl if she could would out that confounded leg - moves about on her bottom very effectively though
has a mix of finger foods (whatever we're eating) and some spoon fed stuff
still bfing and will continue for meantime
can say mum, well says mumumummmumumumum which I am frankly taking as mum
cries when I shout tell off the other girls and has developed a rather endearing high pitched squeal in there sometimes too

oh and is gorgeous with what looks like going to be poker straight fairish hair - my other two had darker hair with curls by now

CaptainCaveman · 30/04/2009 18:39

So glad all is ok with dylan dizzy, how scary for you though!!1

Glad all babes are ok too.

Sibh what did you need from Nottingham? Can I help at all?

Hello everyone . I have missed you all

dizzydixies · 30/04/2009 18:56

how is the packing going CC? not long now Dylan seems ok with a slightly red cheek bloody hate that walker too - only brought it home so as not to offend PIL

radiator back on in the living room so only the tv to go up on the wall/pictures/mirror to go back up on the wall and a new door then we're all done

dizzydixies · 30/04/2009 19:58

VG I lloovveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee you am currently eating the lovely thorntons chocs you brought me us and they are divine

oopsacoconut · 30/04/2009 20:05

Albs - Pleased boobie is back on the menu. The washables nappy thing is Very Very addictive but Dh has decided he has had ewnough of the piles of nappies and the constant washing/drying/nappy bucket thingie and wants us to continue with the dispos we used on holiday. Will continue the battle.

DD started to fall asleep on the floor at 6.45 so I poked her and kept her awake until 7.15 when she guzzled a boobie and zonked out.

We had our 8 month waste of time check today and got our bookstart pack and DD was weighed only 1.5oz in 3 weeks was not good enough according to the HCA but when I saw the HV she was fine with it saying we will put DD onto the new WHO charts next week when they are released as she is still BF and the old charts will just make her look like she is dropping. So at last a sensible HV comment!

VG _ sorry to have missed that Mammy VG wasn't on top form, is she okay now?

oopsacoconut · 30/04/2009 20:07

Dizzy - how has choccie lasted that long???

(we have 2.5kg of peanut butter cups [shocked])

poppysocks · 30/04/2009 20:46

What a scare dizzy. Phew that she's ok. Know what you mean about the slow motion thing. I have a major fear of staircases with little ones after my neighbour told me about his slow motion moment watching his DD tumble the whole way down (and break her arm) . None of this is helped by ILs having a marble staircase that is not only too wide to accomodate any sort of stairgate but also has a sort of cut out bit so you can't walk in a straight line across the top of the stairs (iyswim). Had genuine nightmares about DD1 when we stayed there when she was 16 months. And where will we be this Christmas when DD2 is 16 months...? I suspect you ladies will hear more of this as we approach December.

Oh, and I can confirm after that sidetrack that Dylan is indeed utterly gorgeous.

LOL miamla with our Cairnie open. Doesn't take much to get us non-urbanites excited .

Go no1. V. impressive!

Oh and here's Emily's update:

Sitting without any prob now (although like Dylan, prone to a sister-assisted tumble).
Commando crawling EVERYWHERE.
Mixture of finger foods and puree. Depends on how much I need to do while the girls eat vs how quickly I need to get her fed. Loving solids though.
3 teeth as of tonight but fully expect the tally to be 4 by morning.
Sleeping through the night (has been since September.. sorry )

Right, I'm off for the evening now as Dr Ross is looking in tonight, I believe, on the ER crowd [swoon].

poppysocks · 30/04/2009 20:58

The whole staircase thing is compounded by the fact that when we were there once a toddler actually did fall down the stairs. The whole way. Nothing worse than a very bruised face, but was horrifying. . Why would anyone have a big, horrible, hard staircase anyway? In fact, why don't we all live in bungalows?

dizzydixies · 30/04/2009 20:59

poppy I shall sky+ Doug so we can watch again and again and again and thank you for confirming (twice) how gorgeous that Dylan is

poppysocks · 30/04/2009 21:01

Sorry, that continued rant about staircases was in answer to you sazzles, rather than just verbal diahorrea. .

Really, really off now...The credits are rolling [more pathetic excitement emoticon]
