Morning all
Hope DD is ok daisy. Poorly DD here too, been throwing up all morning, made worse by the fact that she hasn't eaten or drunk anything. Took her to the Dr who said probably a virus, and just to give her whatever she wants to eat or drink. So far even OJ hans't tempted her to drink but she has nibbled on some chocolate. Now laying on her front on the sofa watching Big Cook Little Cook.
I know it's not her fault but it's a real PITA as the car was in for MOT this morning so DH had to take the morning off work to take the car in and take us to the Drs. Plus I needed to do stuff in town as I fly on Saturday, need currency, hair cut, clear bags for fluids. And she won't be able to go to nursery tomorrow so DH and I are taking a half day each with neither of us needs as I am away for a week next week and have been on a course this week and DH only been in his job 3 week and had to take this morning off plus next Thursday while I am away. Very stressed and I have a headache for the third day running. Arrrgghhh! Holidays are so bloody stressful!
I saw you talking about milk, we cut DD's down but it has crept back up, she has a bottle in the morning which she asks for straight away and one large one at night, also in a bottle . And has been asking for more.
Funny about the dessert thing, DH and I have the complete opposite strategy. We just let DD have pudding whatever as we don't want her to associate pudding as a reward and to be conditioned to clear her plate, we would rather she just ate what she wanted. That said it is very difficult to stick to when she takes one mouthful and then says 'yoghurt?' but we try to stick to our guns, and pudding is only natural yoghurt of fruit anyway so not much of a 'treat' . She is a fussy madam and eats like a sparrow so we are usually just happy that she eats anything. Funny how we have completely opposite ideas about how to do things. This parenting lark is tough, it's never obvious what the right thing to do is.
