too cross to type properly

LittleMissNorty · 01/05/2009 09:49

Oh dear....reminds me of when I lost my bus pass about the same age....my dad went nuts.

You should do the black bag thing.....my parents done that to me, as well as make me pay my fares out of pocket money and I never lost it again!

I also remember leaving my PE kit at the bus station....I had to pay for that as well....

I think I was the type of kid who always learnt the hard way

Hope you find it!

Rialentless · 01/05/2009 09:52

he is never going to learn the hard way, either I will feel guilty for being mean/so stressed by it I do it for him, or he'll go to my parents and tell them how horrible I am and they'll feel sorry for him.

won't find it sat here though...

just have to prise the very tiny playmobil bike out of baggins mouth first

Ohforfoxsake · 01/05/2009 13:34

Sorry to hear about pain/rows/jobs.It certainly does come in cycles. And if we havent had sex for sometime.

I have stonking hangover.

Ohforfoxsake · 01/05/2009 13:36

That barely made sense.

The rowing with DPs comes in cycles, and I find sex often has something to do with it.

LackaDAISYcal · 01/05/2009 14:06

gah foxy, does that mean that I'm going to have to play with DH's knob?

back and DH better today, thankfully, but we need to come up with a plan of action for sorting this midden out.

I have a few new mum friends and would like to be able to have them over, but I'm too embarrassed by this dump.

bumble was up every hour and a half last night; I'm bloody knackered.

I need a new car seat for DD. Was thinking about a Britax Evolva 1-2-3? I was going to just replace her Britax Eclipse, but she'll need another one in a couple of years, but at 12 kg she is still teeny tiny, even though that seat is from 9kg.....

Anyhoo, upshot of that ramble, is what seats are y'alls babies in?

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 01/05/2009 14:11

My DD is in a Maxi Cosi PrioriFix (in both cars) ....she's 12kg as well. Do I need to go up a size with her then? Looks like she fits in it fine to me. I think they're bloody marvellous seats and will be getting 2 more when DS is ready, as I assume DD will still be in hers (as well as the fact that one of them is pink and flowery!)

Well I forced the issue and put her down for a nap in her cot - hoovered downstairs to drown out the screaming .....and she's been there fore 2 hours .....perhaps we're turning a corner

Ohforfoxsake · 01/05/2009 14:13

Not necessarily Daisy.Sometimes I like the peace a sulk brings.

Glad filming went well.

HellHathNoFury · 01/05/2009 14:27

I shagged DH in the shower a couple of days ago. Intersting logistically as I am 6ms PG and we have one of those bath/shower jobbys.

Perhaps we're just pervs.

HellHathNoFury · 01/05/2009 14:28

Maxi Cosi Priori here too
Love it... and they 'grow' with baby too as the head rest moves up etc.

HellHathNoFury · 01/05/2009 14:30

My shagging comment was in response to the playing with knob comment by the way!

LackaDAISYcal · 01/05/2009 14:41

she still fits the eclipse norty, but as we would get less use out of a group 1 car seat I thought about getting the group 1-2-3 to save money in the long run.

respect to you fury, with your dodgy pelvis and all....take care won't you and do a health and safetly risk assessment before attempting that again

OP posts:
HellHathNoFury · 01/05/2009 14:50

Daisy

I have discovered my pelvis problems are limited to: walking, standing for more than 10/15 minutes, and pushing shopping trolleys/prams/hoovers.

Needless to see DH was delighted to hear it

I, however, am turning into a zepellin blimp due to the lack of exercise

LittleMissNorty · 01/05/2009 14:58

Oh right - missed the point completely - as ever!

When I got the Maxi Cosi, I looked around at threads on here and which reports etc, and I thought the multi-groups seats didn't get great ratings? Things may have changed now though.

FWIW, I think the extra for the isofix is well worth it. DSs seat is on a base held in by seat belt and DDs seats are isofix.....feel much more secure.

Blimey, its a long time since I shagged in the shower!!!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 01/05/2009 15:43

Respect to the Furys!

Jamlet's also in a maxi cosi. Her first one (also maxi cosi) was isofix but this one isn't. Not sure what size they're meant to go up to though? She's about 12 kg, maybe a bit over, based on my with and without her standing on the scales this morning.

Volunteered at the children's centre again. it was a nice afternoon but I'm knackered. Oh maybe being up since 4.30 has something to do with that? And one of the mums gave me a little cotton jacket for jamlet that her older daughter has outgrown It's lovely. Khaki colour with an embroidered bird on the back. In really good nick too.

LackaDAISYcal · 01/05/2009 16:16

according to a Which report I read, isofix no more safe then non isofix apparently, provided the seat is installed correctly and is right for the vehicle. All the isofix does is take away any "user error"

OP posts:
HellHathNoFury · 01/05/2009 16:17

I get so fucked off with people

I don't even know why the fuck I bother

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 01/05/2009 16:18

we had isofix for convenience with the first one, so we could easily take the whole seat out with her in it. But now we leave the seat in the car all the time there's no point.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 01/05/2009 17:08

what's up Fury?

Bumperlicioso · 01/05/2009 19:09

Evening, DH is ill again. Food poisoning or something. I know I should be sympathetic but it's yet another night where I have to cook and wash up and sort the baby out. I just hope it doesn't ruin our weekend. We are supposed to be going to our allotment and shopping on Sunday.

I was supposed to be picking up a seesaw and trampoline from a chap at work to which I will have to do tomorrow now.

We've finally seen some signs that DD enjoys nursery. She knew where we were going today and started saying the names of some of her friends. It's a relief as since she's only there one day a week it's hard to tell how she is settling in.

As for car seats we have two second hand Britax somethingorothers.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 01/05/2009 20:13

Poor dh bumper. Dp had man flu a couple of weeks ago, he was soooo poorly . You have my sympathies. Glad dd is settling at nursery. Hope it is all going well with your jobs etc.

We have 2 Maxi Cosi Priori XPs. This one for ds and this one for dd. They are coordinating! The trouble is now that dd is growing out of hers we have to get the Maxi Cosi Rodi in the pink floral fabric which is £100, rather than a cheapo £30 jobby. The Priori stage car seats should fit up to at least 4. Dd is 4 in a few weeks and is very tall and still just about fits in hers. Her head is just starting to peek over the top, which is the sign of needing a new one. Yet another expense. Oh joy! I'll just add it to the list. We need a new hoover as both of ours have gone in the same week. Both of our watches have packed up this week too and my car needs MOTing on the 8th. Hopefully the car seat can wait until the M&B testing starts!

Our nice car has just been collected

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 01/05/2009 20:23

Poor you Bumper. And poor DH.

DH is ill here too. He has pain in his arm and is ever so worried about it. Yes it is pain in his left arm but no he does not have chest pain, shortness of breath or any other heart attack symptom. Nor will he seek medical advice. He just sits and moans. And says goodnight to Jamlet with the words "See you in the morning, if I'm still here" Of course, if it is something serious I am going to be wracked with guilt tomorrow, and for the rest of my life.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 01/05/2009 20:26

Gahhhh jammy, have my permission to kick him in the nuts! My dp does this "I'm going to die soon...I'm having a heart attack...I think I've got a brain tumour" He is only joking, but it is really annoying. His new one is "I think I've got pig flu". Twunt! It's just an excuse to sit on his arse and watch me run around after everyone. I think he gets pleasure from it!

Rialentless · 01/05/2009 20:28

DH is indeed arsey

He'll just have to get over it, I can't be bothered with a row.
