alieight so lovely to here from you, I hope you had a lovely birthday too.

Sorry you are not enjoying being back at work, you do sound very busy. So pleased to hear Adam is sleeping well though, especially with work.

ouch sazzles that sounds very painful indeed poor you. Hope you dont get bruises.
I bet it made your eyes water.
reminds me i must get some arnica, dd was crying when her graze got wet in the bath last night. she is sat on my knee shouting 'bunny' 'bunny' looking for the buuny eared emoticons that we had for easter.
I keep telling her they have gone and she isnt very happy about it.

Ds is asleep still, I had lovely big bf at about 11.30 and he is still zonked.

Would be great if dd would give in too, oh well one down is better than nothing.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 22/04/2009 13:54

Xpost sazzles lol.

I have an open eveing to go to at 6pm, to check out pre school for dd, will be taking her with me so she can have a play (doing some outdoor activities for them to if still nice) so just rung my dsis to see if she will have Ds for an hour.

Thinik will take dog out when ds is up and fed.

sazzles do you have to stay with dd1 or do you just put her in bed and leave her for daytime nap.
Which do you settle first??

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 22/04/2009 13:57

I tried that few weeks ago, straight from highchairs to bed it did work too, as bellies were full and like you say they are not interupted from play.

Thanks, dd just shows no sign of being tired at the moment till later on. So gets to tea time or just after and she is sometimes terrible with the moaning and whining etc..
nearly falls asleep in her tea sometimes. I never dare let her sleep too late in afternoon or she is up then till 8/9.

Ah bless her, I wouldnt have dared wake dd either lol.

When we went to Zoo the other day and she was absolutley shattered before we even set off, but she didnt go to sleep in the car, her eyes were hardly open and she kept yawning all the way there, so obviously she was shattered, had a few tears when there due to tiredness, when we set off to come home she was asleep within 4 minutes, and slept for an hour.
Didint get home till 7.30 so she then didng go to bed/sleep till 10pm

she really does fight it sometimes.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 22/04/2009 14:11

I think I will make more effort to try to get them down after lunch and see what happens, In fact she is starting to get whingy now so I know she is getting tired.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 22/04/2009 14:11

I cannot believe ds has been asleep almost 3 hours

Sambo, repeat after me: Life is too short for unpaid overtime. It is highly unlikely unpaid overtime is mentioned in your contract and if it is an unwritten expectation then that is just poor management, and not your problem. If they haven't budgeted to employ enough seasonal staff (eg for Budget), then that is a sign of their own incompetence. For some reason, this becomes crystal clear when you become a mum, doesn't have that effect on men becoming dads though.

Saw The Boat That Rocked today at baby cinema, very sweet film, have an urge to get the old Stones cds out.

Miamla · 22/04/2009 17:03

nope, no napping for me! we've been too busy shopping but albs has got alovely new top so our mission was accomplished!

ooh DS just fallen asleep so going to try and get 10mins myself

alittlebitshy · 22/04/2009 18:26

sazzles I've taken to doing the post lunch nap thing for ds. I did it was dd when she was down to one nap but it seems to have worked foir ds's second nap so far....

miamla helped me find a lovely top. We got lunch but no time for coffee and cake cos I had to get back for dd . Shame. I do like a bit of cake (as is shown by the size top I had to buy today ). {grin].

buckets thank you for that clarion call, my contract states that I must get the job done in a minimum of 35 hours per week. Neat huh?

Have had lovely day with ds, appreciating him all the more due to not being with him yesterday. I am reading Twilight by Stephanie Meyer and loving it. Got to rent the movie now
