Lovely to hear of good days all! LOL at DD fighting aliens Dizzy Today's achievements here not very impressive but enjoyable all the same:

b'day present bought for stepdad - tick
easter eggs bought - tick
nice long walk in the sunshine - tick
lunch in garden first time this year - tick
bit of a tidy-up accomplished - tick
DD fed self pasta and mushrooms in true BLW-fashion - tick
oh and - tick

Good luck tomorrow No1, hope everything goes really well. Step away from the ironing though!

LoveBuckets · 04/04/2009 21:09

LOL Miamla I still don't have a baby monitor! Gave mine away after first baby and never bothered to get a new one. We now have a v long thin house but I can still hear a child whingeing from the opposite corner.

Forgot to say, we watched 24hr Party People last night, v educational and v funny. I recommend it highly, esp if you like the Happy Mondays. We were Bez-dancing around annoying the kids at breakfast time.

No sign of DH yet, maybe not his lucky bunny night after all.

Miamla · 04/04/2009 21:31

I can hear DS everywhere in the house apart from when we're in the living room. Its like a special sound vacuum place in here

since writing above DS just gave me yet another heart attack. he's just pulled a table over on top of himself. he ended up flat on his back, crying really strangely. seems ok but keeping an eye on him. anything specific i should be looking out for? he's being extra clingey atm but that could just be because he's tired (but obviously resisting all efforts to sleep!)
and breathe

oopsahotcrossbunny · 04/04/2009 21:31

Evening all

DH is likeing the blowjob bunny very very much and asked if we could get one It's amazing that one emoticon can get us back to the pre-baby talk of

We have had a very active day. At 9 am we had a turf lifter delivered - skip due to be collected at 11am - we lifted all our back lawn (40ft x 35ft) by 10.45 and it was all in the skip by the time the skipman arrived. We have now cleared the area, placed the sleepers for the raised veg beds and am now broken. DD was fantastic and was very happy to sit and play in her highchair or washing basket and yell instructions at us!

Now an allergy question - DD had fish pie tonight, not for the first time, when I went to bath her she has a raised red rash wherever the fish pie had touched her. Probably like the one VG described after her DS ate strawbs. It didn't happen last time that I noticed now am a little confused should I give her some at lunch tomorrow or avoid it all together?

Hope TS's party is going well and she is managing to relax enough to enjoy it.

No1 - Hope tomorrow goes smoothly and you have great sunny sun for the day. Stop ironing - you need all your strength to cope with tomorrow.

Cyteen - my DH thought that hidying was more important than helping bath DD today and rolled over in the night mumbling about how peaceful the spare room was - so I kicked him out

Sazzles - yay for midi-Sazzles.

Dizzy - I like your word and lol at DD fighting the aliens.

Pertalote - how is DD doing?

oopsahotcrossbunny · 04/04/2009 21:33

Miamla - where did it hit him? Poor boy and poor you too.

Miamla · 04/04/2009 21:35

blimey pertelote you've had a busy day and a half! albs and I were chatting the other day, apparently you don't live a million miles away from us . fancy joining us for our next mini meetup?

Miamla · 04/04/2009 21:39

oops no idea. it was a round table so rolled off him. He's just crawled the length of the room to investigate the envelope that's now on the floor. He does seem ok.
hmm, seems he's trying to eat the envelope..back in a sec!

pertelote · 04/04/2009 21:46

Oh Miamla it's horrible isn't it. I'm sure he's ok. DD slipped off my lap yesterday and I felt truly sick but of course she's fine. Like you say it is hard to know how we'd tell if there was something mildly wrong - sickness, unsteadiness, drowsiness, clinginess? All fairly normal for a 7 mth old! I think anything serious would be more obvious though. He doesn't usually sleep through, does he? So if you wake with a start at 4am and there hasn't been a peep from him you could probably be forgiven for giving him a poke just this once...

Miamla · 04/04/2009 21:52

i guess its all part of the fun of being a parent! after DP checked DS was ok, he checked i was ok! lol re poking him! it would just be typical if he decided to sleep through tonight. given how lively he is now, its looking unlikely!

pertelote · 04/04/2009 22:23

Miamla - multiple x-post but like you say he sounds ok. I am in Stratford and would be honoured to attend a mini-meet! Thanks!

DD is great thanks Oops! Quite her old self again and I suspect she's growing. She is also wide awake at 10pm, tut tut...

BTW those balloons are still going strong... a bit limp now but like Dizzy said that's how babies seem to like them!

Miamla · 04/04/2009 23:49

pertelote cool! i'll send you an FB message with details of our next one (once we've arranged it!)

alittlebitshy · 05/04/2009 08:31

Palm sunday today - procession during church. wonder how bemused ds will be by that .

question to lades with rearwards facing pushchairs -when do you reckon you'll turn them round? dd was fwds facing by 5 months but was so nosy and was not in the least mummified. ds is nosy but also loves seeing me and lasts longer happily in his rearwards one than when in another one which isn't... I wonder how much he can actually see though as he peers round... .

(just being nosy but what pushchair do you have vg?)

alittlebitshy · 05/04/2009 10:14

lol at calendar!!!!

pertelote · 05/04/2009 10:15

Morning... thanks Miamla! VG your day sounds lovely and as if you achieved two very important tasks which could not be put off! Anyway I'm sure you noticed that my account of my day did not actually include anything houseworky - to put it another way, we went for a wander along the South Bank including a spot of shopping; came home and threw out last weekend's papers plus all the other crap hiding underneath them; oh and had a marital moment when DD conveniently fell asleep! Must admit - with apologies to those for whom this is not such a good time - I am loving this spring, the relief of stress post-op combined with some nice weather makes me want to sing.

ALBS it was indeed an eek moment. I was feeding her on an uncomfortable chair and I thought she was fairly well balanced but still I only took my hand off her for a second - the very second she decided to pull off with enough force to roll over and off. So she didn't fall far and it was onto carpet; but still - and and .

VG I'm the same with the Quinny, sometimes she faces out sometimes she faces in

lovely Italian meal take away which was great then early to bed as was shattered - still sitting in my pjs!!!!

VG shall check ASDA and Tesco (am going to both today anyway) for vests, 9-12months?

glad everyone well, sorry to post and run but being a bit rude as it is

oh oh No1 hope you have a lovely relaxed day today

hotcrosspotter · 05/04/2009 11:43

Mmmmmmmm all this talk of food is making me hungry. Have had sausage egg and toast for breakfast but I could definitely fit in some lamb with feta. Well it is Spring

Hope it's lovely where you are. DH currently rescuing frogs from the last dregs of water in the old pond before he fills it in and we can have another lawn, hurrah It really stinks though, there's about a foot of thick green slime, ewww. Better go and shoutinstructionsfromthesidelines lend a hand.

No1 hope today is fab and you have a lovely holiday too

dizzychixies · 05/04/2009 11:44
