Miamla glad dinner was nice.

Just sitting here doing my toes in red.

longwayfromhome · 04/04/2009 00:16

miamla - have you read no cry sleep solution - it's all about getting your co-sleeping breastfed baby to sleep better. Not really a success here (but then he's not really co-sleeping apart from the times when I wake up at 3am and find him in bed with us, which is quite clever of him). The author writes about a 10 month old, so you're at about the right stage.

I liked the book as she said that there is no such thing as a negative sleep association, but I didn't like her last little example at the end of the book about a baseball match.

here endeth the book review.

lots of work at the moment, and I need to tidy the house, but I'm not feeling too tired, hurrah.

Morning all.
lol vg at you still liking each other or falling asleep. I am very of that show.
I would love to go but my boring dh doesn't like that kind of thing. Or should I say he prob would but can't be bothered.

I have that cube thing from shite mothercare. You got a bargain but very incompetant staff
We got it for dd but we ended up putting it in the loft as all she did was take top off throw it and climb inside and obviously kept getting stuck. Will have to get it down for ds soon.

I am sooo tired and back aching like mad this morning. Have been out of house all week so dh could sleep due to nightshift and I just feel so worn out and tearful this am. He has gone in on 13hour overtime shift today as he booked ages ago and forgot it was christening tomorow.
So much to do and sort out as I am going away monday.
I have the christening cake to collect today before 2. No clue how I am going to do this with 2 dcs in tow as I cant park anywhere near the bloody shop.
Sorry for a rant first thing in the morning
off to catch up.

LoveBuckets · 04/04/2009 09:45

Steaky It is possible to wear twins for a few months, depending on their size, and my DD was using a buggyboard at 2 1/2. Remind her she won't be stuck with expensive items for long, they'll be easy to sell and keep their value. Even if she buys new, she can consider the price drop a rental cost!

No1 Good luck and good health to you this weekend, you have a lot on your plate. Really hope it all goes well - don't forget to delegate.

Have finally opened DS1's last birthday pressie from February - a big castle playset and loads of knights. Is keeping both big two occupied very nicely indeed.

Miamla · 04/04/2009 09:50

no1 right, i have a cunning plan for your cake collection. 1) phone the shop, explain 2 DC issue and tell them what time you'll be there
2) park outside shop, one of the staff will then pop out of the shop with your cake and put it in the boot for you
3) go home and have a cup of tea!

I understand that there may be a slight flaw in my plan if you haven't paid for the cake yet but perhaps you could then park legally and walk back with 2Dc to pay for it or, give them some good old cash

Plan b... phone a friend!

vgand a top of a blowjob bunny morning to you too!
well if meek is your word of the day, i'm having footled! is it even a word?! who cares, i like it!

nieighbour just ben round to bring to give me their copy of annabel whatshername's puree book and a toy for DS. he then told me that their builders are going to be really noisy from 10.30 today. i thanked him and then asked graciously if he could let me know whenever they were going to have a noisy day in future as well because yesterday was unbearable. DP phoned and couldn't hear what i was saying so we resorted to email instead! DS scared and was the most clinging thing in the world.

right, so i guess i'd better wake up DP to get us all out the house before 10.30 its so not going to happen!

ah, hope DD1 enjoys her presentation

i really have got to go now...oops! builders will be waking DP up at this rate

cyteen · 04/04/2009 10:57

Morning all

Had proper Friday night fun last night and also got the chance to see DP's amazing baby-wrangling skills in action. DS woke up at 11.30pm - dummy in - straight back to sleep. Me like this Then slept till 4am - DP gave him a bottle of EBM, which was sucked down without a murmur - more of this face from me. Then DP managed to change a nappy without sending DS into playtime wakefulness - how? How is this witchcraft possible? DS then back to sleep in our bed and we have all been having a fabulous cheery sunny Saturday

DP now taken the boy to help him look at car stereos so I am going to make the most of the solitude by doing some baking. Will be back later with pear cake.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 04/04/2009 10:59

Thanks all. Have already paid for cake in full, but it is a padestrianised zone and shop is set well back from the no parking area by a huge stretch of grassed area.

However I am picking my dniece up after her football match and she will sit in the car with dcs.
I am loving the bunnies
PMSL at Blowjob Bunny I admit I though similar when I noticed the mouth had changed.

sazzles hope it goes well for dd1,bet she looks gorgeous.

Dh was a bit when he went to use the phone and the display screen read Gobshite 1 It has only took few years for him to actually notice this

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 04/04/2009 11:15

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 04/04/2009 17:57

dizzy hope your afternoon is better.

both dcs had lasagne that I made for tea. it was lovely if I dont mind saying so myself.

I am sat here trying to express while dcs watch tv play and dd is butt naked sat on potty. I have had to stop pumping 3 times as she has done 2 wees and 1 poo......... on the floor
potty training going well then.

for you miamla

dizzychixies · 04/04/2009 18:08

forgot to tell you all about DD2 physically fighting with the aliens on the screen in the cinema, the poor wee lad in the seat in front thought he was getting a right pummling!!! was the funniest bit of the afternoong

alittlebitshy · 04/04/2009 18:45

phew caught up.

dizzy at dd2 and aliens.....

LoveBuckets · 04/04/2009 19:29

Asda do cheap LS vests, do they have Asda over the water?

I have had a wonderful day so far. Palmed Kurt off to my mum and we took the big 2 out to our favourite Greek restaurant for mezes - came to about £35 for a family of 4, seemed like about 3 variety-packed savoury courses so something for everyone. DS1 was good as gold, amazing considering he'd never been there before but it wasn't busy and they were happy to have him potter around with his Wall-e whenever he got bored.

DH went to a football match (anyone know if Saints won or what?) and I made some very annoying but actually v pretty tissue paper flowers from a kit that some sadist brought for DD. All 3 tucked up in bed by 7.15 (although can hear DS1 muttering to Wall-e and Eve quietly.)

About to open a bottle of rose (Gallo White Grenache 3foratenner in Tesco - usually £6 a bottle!!!) Blowjob bunny probably quite appropriate if I'm drunk before DH gets home LOL.

Tomorrow is a bbq at my DSis's where my DBro's family are staying this weekend. My 3 long lost little nephews, yay!!!

Hope you all have a great w/e folks.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 04/04/2009 19:35

LOL at aliens dizzy

lovebuckets sounds like a lovely day.
Hope you have another good one tomorow.

Both dcs fast asleep here too,but was too tired to bath them so will do it in the morning. dd had shower and hairwash this am so quick dip for her.

So dh be home about half hour. Big pile of ironing to do
Hmmmmm to do now or tomorow night.

Next door dc playing a toy drum kit in the garden bless..

Miamla · 04/04/2009 20:13
