its hard to help with colours without seeing the kitchen! VG, take a photo and we'll ignore the mess!

ooh with clutter i think a deep faded red/orange paint would look good!

Miamla · 31/03/2009 13:48

yeah, i'm tempted to have two lunches! she's a good enough friend to get away with it! its quite funny really because i used to live with her and 2 other girls. i always remember the friend visiting today as being on time or early for everything. our housemate remembers her as always being late. Housemate has proven correct on numerous occasions!

VG had a thought (am not here am enroute to park obviously) but is the wall going to be accomodating anything? shelving etc? or is it just a big wall?

I only ask as we have kitchen/dining room all painted cream but with these shelves with all out clutter essentials on them and they look fab I also have red Kitchen Aid pots constantly on top of the cooker; red scales; red gladd LSA jug; soda thingy; two red cake stands and two red storage tins dotted between the rooms which adds some colour

I am however looking for some nice material to make roman blinds for the windows SO if you're up for a swap

dizzychixies · 31/03/2009 13:56

oh sazz whats their logic with that?

VG meant to say the reasons those shelves work is that they're open at the back and not big block of red iyswim? my kitchen nowhere near the size of your though

(am a huge fan of red/orange etc in a kitchen and am now having to admit to myself I like the slightly mexican theme I seem to have going on here )

VG pavilion blue is a lovely pale blue/green if you wuss out of the red option

I agree with sazz on the feature wall thing (mainly because she said I was wise)

waiting for photos....

Feeling guilty as I have missed ds1's play as it was at 2pm and Toby asleep (but he doesn't have a speaking part). I should have gone shouldn't I
I did go to parents assembly the other day though when he DID have a speaking part. Think he was chuffed. dd and Toby were not easy to manage throughout however.

Vg that oval room blue will come up very dark I think. nice colour but not sure if it would steal all the light.

sazzles sorry about the lack of dermatology appt. I think you need to phone back and kick their arses when you are feeling more gathered together ....

I told him I probably wouldn't be able to come and said I did come the other day didn't I - he agreed that was ok.

Yes, one is always compromised.....sadly. Usually it is dd in this house atm.

Off to feed the littlest Tobo

hmm nice kitchen! If you go for red have you checked out F&B BLazer - it seems to match the red of the tres swisho blinds...

ds has slept for 20 mins today in the pram on the way home from rhymetime. He is shattered but wont sleep.

Friend who miscarried is on MN (just checked) so I feel sure she will be OK

hotcrosspotter · 31/03/2009 15:13

No time to chat, sorry, just nipping on to ask you lovely laydeez to think swishy thoughts for me this afternoon. Off to the hairdressers in two minutes, I've got butterflies

Will share the results later, depending on the outcome

oopsacoconut · 31/03/2009 15:14

VG no comments on paint colours but your kitchen is NOT untidy. It is fab too.
