vg You could always go for F&B 'eating room red' - does look like what you want and appropriate name!

would be brave though. Is your kitchen big and light enough to take it???

dizzychixies · 31/03/2009 13:21

pf what a pain in the arse when that happens, hopefully you'll have a nice visit with her which will make up for it

Sazz am no longer impressed with the sorting of the roof bars - your DH is a FCarG!!! Trip sounds great, especially the camping one in NorthEastFife Scotland

VG I know the kind of washed red you mean and am glad you're not opening a taco parlour! PF's idea sounds nice too (am a huge fan of blue, even got married in a blue dress) but Red is meant to stimulate the appetite (hence the no red in our kitchen )

new doors arriving in Fri 20th yipee! now just have the logistical nightmare of co-ordinating the painter/joiner/plumber/electrician etc etc etc who'd like to place bets on it all being done by me?!?

oops sorry about your shitey night, think Sazz has the right idea re the short sharp shock - make him his roast chicken dinner then launch it out the window

Dylan had meatballs and asketti (spag by DD2!) for lunch, not a huge success but amused me nonetheless!!

off to enjoy the sunshine

would Boor Room Red not be more appropriate shame it looks a bit too much like terracotta for what I was meaning

I think if your room is that bit it could take it no problem and remember if you think it IS too much once its done the addition of shelves/pictures etc would tone it down

would you not take a wee spare bit of the blind into B&Q and have them mix it up for you?

forgot fecking link, am balloon of highest order

no as much as I like the idea of the blue, I'd stick with your first instinct and go red but it has to be the RIGHT red!

Hello everyone. Have hijacked MIL's laptop for a few minutes.
Hope everone is ok, and your lo's too.
Seb is fine, although small these days hovering around the 9thh centile. He's got a real knack for stealing food off people's plates now
Not much new here. Have a dentists appt on thursday for some drilling and filling. Went to a belly dance class last night which was great fun.
Does anyone know where I could get a windows disk? I need one to fix my computer. I feel rather lost without the internet!

Miamla · 31/03/2009 13:33

I would risk the latino effect I think by the sounds of it your room is sufficient enough to take it and it would be a fantastic feature wall - you just have to be careful with red paint thats all and if you're not 100% you could go blue ALTHOUGH it may cool your room down a lot as blue is a colder colour

sorry, am not helping much am I

dizzychixies · 31/03/2009 13:38

baked cherry is my final offering as park calling

remember if you get it in a matt emulsion if won't be shiney/blood like and you can tone it down with putting stuff up on it

blue and green whilst lovely (see mention of blue wedding dress before) are not colours I would take to a kitchen (unless clinical, white gloss look is what you're wanting and I don't get that vibe from you)

my seagreen suggestion was because seagreen was mentioned as one of the colours on the blind fabric but if this is in fact blue, ignore me and continue as you were!
