Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
FloriaTosca · 22/06/2009 08:41

Pixie; fingers crossed for a quick sale of your house so you can get the one you want.

Inzi; congratulations on the fantastic weight loss. ooops about Jane learning to swear

Strawberry; how thrilling to see it all coming together ... not long now.

Alice; not long for you either... so exciting!!!!!

Dal; ditto the suggestion that you use your present equipment while you get started...good luck with your enterprise.

Muppet; thrilled for you about Hens progress...so very sorry about Dex;you are not being a cow, you are being a Mum and quite correctly prioritising the health of your children over an animal who is obviously deteriorating both physically and mentally but I also understand your Dh on this subject, he has invested a lot of time and love in Dex and giving up before it is absolutely necessary will feel like a betrayal to him...may I suggest a compromise? That Dex is perhaps housed overnight in an outside kennel? We did this for one Xen when my two boys started fighting with each other...we got a shed given to us, we carpeted it (walls as well for insualtion...though perhaps you wouldnt want to with Dexs problem))with carpet remnants, he had a old comfy arm chair to sleep on, an electric, oil filled radiator for heat and a radio for company. This would at least save the mess in the morning, it would be no more exclusion from the family than he is already used to ...if the medication helps he can always come back indoors, but if the meds fail it gives your Dh time to come to terms with the big decision without you having to pressure him and you both feeling guilty. Sorry you are in this position at this time (not that there is ever a good time)

Off to Jo jingles now and then a playdate with the lovely Anya and WWAJC....fun packed day!

Dalrymps · 22/06/2009 11:25

Hey ladoes,

WWAJC - Hope the meal was nice

Muppet - Hope you're feeling ok as you near the big day! Hope you and your dh managed to come to a decision about Dex you're both comfortable with...

Re my business, in a way I could use the iron I have to start with but I feel like I wouldn't be providing the service I am advertising. For a start, my iron is absolutely cr*p, it would take me a while to do the ironing with it but I could manage. The thing that bothers me is that I want to return peoples clothes on hangers, covered in plastic garment covers. The hangers arnd garment covers are part of the equipment that will be bought with the grant I am applying for. We can't really afford to just buy them, can't afford any of it unless we put it on the credit card which I really don't want to do... It's just do frustrating, I want to get set up and try and make some money to take the pressure off dh

LLL - Glad you had a good night with Ben. I see via FB you have a cold today though how are you feeling? I woke like that the other morning at 6, it was like my nose was a tap?! Strangely it never developed in to an actual cold though

Crochet - Great to hear from you . Poor you adnd your dh! Hope you both feel lots better soon.

Strawberry - Sounds like the house is coming on a treat very exciting!

Floria - Have fun at Jo jingles with Anya and WWAJC!

Well, my AF is due fri, so I am in that annoying waiting period just wishing and hoping I am pg but knowing i'm probably not. Hate this bit!

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 22/06/2009 13:20

LLL - glad Ben is sleeping through - well done having the patience to do that.

Strawberry - lol at the bathroom without walls. Sounds like everything's going really well though - bet you can't wait for it to be finished.

Dal - it's awful that you can't get any initial investment to start up - how frustrating. Do you have your meeting this week?

Must go and wake Anya up before FT and Alex get here - she's napped for nearly 3 hours this morning after a rubbish night.

NeedCoffee · 22/06/2009 20:55

Sorry, but yet again, am posting so that iu can find you when i have time to catch up properly again!

Stefka · 22/06/2009 22:16

Hi another crap poster popping in to say hello because I don't want to lose touch with you all. I am just struggling to manage work and motherhood etc. Dareh is brilliant - running around saying 'Get the baby!' when he wants chased and telling us to 'ome on! when he wants us to hurry up and do something. Work is good, busy though and I am very tired.

Hope everyone is well and that I can catch up soon with you all properly. Dalry hope you get the result you want there. I just found out someone who was in my antenatal class is pregnant with number two and I feel so jealous! Nothing I can do about it right now though so I will just have to bide my time.

Dalrymps · 23/06/2009 13:05

Hi ladies,

NC - Stop wathcing Peppa Pig and come and catch up

Stefka - Hi! great to hear from you. Sorry you're so tired at the moment. Glad work s going well.

Lol at Dareh teeling you to 'ome on' and runnign round saying' get the baby

Dylan likes to run off when I call him whilst saying 'go,go,go'

My af is due fri but I couldn't help myself and did a pg test first thing this morning. Nothing at first but when I checked back after abuot 10 mins a faint pink line! Going to get some cheapy tests later and try again tomorrow. I think it is positive but don't want to get too excited yet eek.

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 23/06/2009 18:26

Dal - oooooh, fingers crossed for you!

Stefka - hehe at 'get the baby'.

Had a very busy day yesterday. Anya had her first dentist appointment - she sat in the chair on my knee and wailed (giving the dentist a very clear view of all her teeth ). Then she wailed some more while he looked at my teeth instead. But he did give her a sticker, which she liked - he said eventually they stop wailing and remember that it's the place where they get a sticker.

FT and Alex came round in the afternoon and we were outside as it was lovely weather. Alex is hysterical - he's a real force to be reckoned with . I've no idea how FT keeps up - I'd be exhausted after half an hour - and he's got the most mischevious grin ever, he is so cute. Anya's tame by comparison!

Anybody else had thunderstorms today? Here's hoping the weather's better for the rest of the week!

Ohhh two days in a row here!

Inzi are you still just drinking shakes? Or does it change after that? You have done so well!

Dalry really hope it is good news for you!

I need to take Dareh to the dentist again soon I think but I am scared to go because I BF him after he gets his teeth cleaned and I know my dentist won't like that.

Such lovely weather here today! Bet it starts raining the second school stops for summer!

NeedCoffee · 23/06/2009 21:47

ASif I'm watching stupid Peppa, Rich has decided that we have to give her sa ham sandwich with pepper in everytime she asks now

I am here but sporadically, Inzi I am so jealous about your weight loss, I got weighed on some scales for sale yesterday, 11st5lb, i'm only 5,5, i think i may start smoking again to try and get rid of it.

Dal, am hoping for you!

WWAJC-awh, bless Anyas at dentist, Shannons going for her first one in sep with me and dd1. Sorry, your 'camping' trip was so basic, pics are fab though.

Muppet-so sorry for you about Dexter, for what its worth, I think you're right, but it must be so hard for DH, my thoughts are with you.

Stefka-how cool is that! 'get the baby' Hahaha.

sorry i'm so rubbish at being on, i leave it a few days, then i get overwhelmed and dont have time to catch up, you know what its like. Hi to LLL, Aice, Strawberry, crochet, sleepmenot x

our latest thing is proper throw myself on the floor screaming because i can't watch Peppa Pig and have my 'burger'(blanket) and taking my dirty nappy off every night to throw around and then shout that its dirty ni the cot

Will try not to be gone so long next time.....oh, did i tell you all that I think my exam went quite well last week? Fingers crossed !

Stefka · 23/06/2009 22:12

When is peppa pig on? Dareh has a toy of it that he loves but I have never seen the actual show.

NeedCoffee · 23/06/2009 22:24

its on Sky on Nicklodeon junior or something Stefka, various times of the day, I 've recored most of them though, so it can be put on again and again and again...

alicet · 23/06/2009 23:16

OK just skim read but can't remember anything except Dal you might be pg!!!! How exciting! Keep us posted

I am off to Glasgow for a work thing tomorrow evening unti lFridya so might not be on much before then but I'll try to catch up properly at the weekend...

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 24/06/2009 06:57

Inzi - I am so pleased for you, that's brilliant news about your size.

NC - glad the exam went better - fingers crossed.

Alice - enjoy Glasgow.

Anya waking up - catch up with you later.

Well... I did a test first thing this morning and got a very faint line within the 5 min limit

Am excited but feeling cautious till I get past fri when AF due.

Sorry you're in so much pain inzi . Maybe just put janes fav program on and lie down for a bit? I would!

Yeah you can't get a line without being pg, guess I'm worried that they could be evaopration lines or that it's early and i'll just get my af anway... Don't really think they're evap lines though cause it's happened on 3 tests now

Thanks for the hanger and garment cover offer by the way, very kind of you! Had another meeting today, the business guy says I can use some of the initial funding for hangers and covers just to get started then get some more with the rest of the grant. I'm to use my iron till I get set up, maybe for a week or so, then should be able to get the funding for the rest . Thanks again though, it's a really thoughtful offer

Hope you're manging to rest now and your back isn't too bad. Make sure you get to the docs if it's no better soon!

CrochetDiva · 24/06/2009 15:13

DAL!!! How exciting!

Inzi - heat and gentle movements - hope you haven't done anything too awful.

Love to everybody else! Still wobbly ... didn't get any further down the page, will pop back again later!

NeedCoffee · 24/06/2009 19:30

Hi all

dal-its sounding good

we've been at the park today in the paddling pool, Shannon likes to drink anything, including dirty pool water she had a bucket that she kept drinkng out of, no matter how many times I gave her her juice, I think she is just a natural Tramp!

anyway, am shattered now so just going to try and get the little monkey to bed, hope everyone has had a lovely day x

Dalrymps · 24/06/2009 21:29

NC - Lol at shannon drinking out of the paddling pool. Dylan does that in his, also drinks his bath water and once even drank some of the dogs water

Poor little man has had the cold for a few days now. Was sick with coughing on sun and mon night but not last night so think he's turning a corner.

I feel a bit like i'm getting it now though ugh!

Stefka · 24/06/2009 21:57

Ohh Dal- really hoping this is it for you! We want number two but we can't do it yet because of the money situation. Being broody is a killer!

We don't have sky so that will be why we have never seen peppa pig!

Hope you are ok with your back Inzi - take it very easy if you can.

Alice have fun in Glasgow - you are not far from me! At least the weather up here is nice for you!

Dalrymps · 24/06/2009 22:01

Thanks stefka

If you don't have sky you can get Peppa pig dvds cheap in morrisons...

Our money situation's not fabulous but we're just going for it, hopefully my ironing will help!
