Hi Jabber - yes I'm doing the tax return too. Am still going with no end in sight and it's now midnight. Ho hum. Remind me, what is maternity leave again??

jabberwocky · 14/04/2009 00:41

Well, I've printed out extension forms for federal and state and have ordered a password un-lock program. Fingers crossed it will work.

LenniEd · 14/04/2009 01:11

Crossed here for you too Jabber

iSOLOvechocolate · 14/04/2009 02:05

Just dropping by to say hello ladies! hope all is well.

Indith · 14/04/2009 11:53

Don't just drop by Solo, stay for tea!

Hope everybody is stuffed full of chocolate and has finished tax returns.

Dd has finished her growth spurt but not quite worked out that this means she doesn't have to wake every half hour or so and fuss around refusing to settle when she doesn't get fed. Of course if she doesn't settle I offer but she has 2 sucks, falls asleep for a minute then starts fussing and refusing to sleep again

Hello, my name is Indith. It has been 6 months since I last slept and I am slightly delusional

I can't believe I used to think ds was a bad sleeper. Or that growth spurts with him were hard.

jabberwocky · 14/04/2009 14:13

Oh, Indith you have one of my babies! I realized when ds2 started sleeping through - err, about 4 months ago - that it had basically been about 5 years since I had had a decent night's sleep. You start feeling totally unhinged after a while...

Oh and I am still locked out of my desktop I have extension forms all set to go for taxes

LenniEd · 14/04/2009 20:12

Still taxing it here and DS appears to be feeding rather frequently. Am I in growth spurt territory? Oh heck. Feeling all weepy from all the milky hormones too from all the feeding. And I have no idea whether DD is in bed or not but if she is I missed my good night hug two nights running.

Yay! Did a toy rotation today with some stuff in the garage. dd2 has discovered duplo and has been quiet for 15 mins

jabberwocky · 15/04/2009 15:28

Duplos are a lifesaver at our house.

Still locked out of desktop At least a have duplicates of many files on my laptop b/c of course I don't have a current backup

Indith · 15/04/2009 17:11

Duplo is amazing

Sorry about the continued computer troubles Jabber. I really should add doing a back up to my list of things to do. One of those things you know you should do but never quite keep on top of isn't it.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 15/04/2009 18:28

AQ Have you been able to speak to your GP?

DD2 is still a loveable rogue and she seems to wrap everyone around her little finger. DD1 talks as if she's her mum. She's so bossy. DD1 was telling us that her feet hurt (we only walked to the corner shop) because her skin is so delicate . I think my child was swapped at birth with a fairytale princess.

accessorizequeen · 16/04/2009 11:01

hullo all, so busy over the easter weekend haven't been on but had a lovely time. Hope you all did too. We managed 2 days out with ALL dc's which I thought was tremendous.

feel a bit as it seemed the dip I experienced last week was getting my period (hadn't had one for about 15 months so I guess I was due a hormonal surge!). Felt fine the day after, I do still have periods of feeling low but manageable I think without drugs at this point.

castlesintheair · 16/04/2009 18:32

Glad you are feeling better AQ

accessorizequeen · 16/04/2009 20:38

thanks, castles. I am a numpty though.
how was cornwall or are you still there

have barely skimmed, but margo's dd is a princess (bless), jabber has computer problems (oh no, I hate computer problems, so lucky I live with nerd who does it for a living), indith has had no sleep for several months but is hopefully still coming to visit next month so I can meet daisy (as you have met the dt's, bebe is getting bigger, solo is back (hi, solo), lennied is still in tax return hell (are you getting paid for this, woman?) and everyone agrees that duplo is fab It is, too. Just that ds1 nabs the entire box of it so I don't think I've ever seen ds2 play with ours.

Elibean · 16/04/2009 21:55

Hello, my gang

Am back from Cornwall, lovely lovely place though nights were grim (dd2 back to snoring and coughing, wonder if she has hayfever now??) so can't remember much of it. We did spend Easter Sunday morning on the beach under cloudless skies, though, bliss.

Will have a good catch up in next day or two...hope you're all well and stuffed with chocolate and had good Easters...

Elibean · 16/04/2009 21:56

aq, haven't had time to skim enough to find out why you think you're a numpty, but am glad you're better too

LenniEd · 16/04/2009 22:54

Am also glad you are better AQ - think I'm a bit pre-menstrual, cramps, weepy etc. Probably due since DS been sleeping well for the last few weeks so definitely had long enough feeding gaps (10 hours most night, sorry Indith ) to ovulate.

Also love duplo here

No, not getting paid. But I'm done - yay!

Sorry to hear about DD2 Eli - not a virus is it? Bit early for hayfever isn't it well at least up here it is, no hayfever here until June but DH suffers with it dreadfully and we're off to Cornwall next week. Can't face a week of asthma night wakings!

OP posts:
Indith · 17/04/2009 14:27

AQ why are you a numpty? Glad you feel happier though. Must sort out my visit, not sure what is happening now as dh isn't going away now. May just come for the hell of it and a change of scenery

I suppose at least my lack of sleep has a silver lining with periods then Not entirely sure it is worth it though I spent last night in the spare room and left dh to deal with the fussing and he brought her in when she was actually hungry so she fed at 10, 12.30, 3.30 and 5.45 then actually went back to sleep until 7 so I have had some sleep, still woke up when she was crying and not settling but did my best to ignore it. Am doing the same tonight, she shall sleep! Daft thing is I'm fine with night feeds, she can feed 2 hourly if she wants so lomg as she sleeps rather than fusses between feeds!

Easter on the beach sounds fab

The house is not to be. Saw it once, saw it twice, seriously considering putting an offer in, FIL the architect saw it and we found out that the windows had been widened but lintels not strengthened (or something, he went into architect nmode) and the loft should not be being sold as a third bedroom as the conversion not done to building regs, they still only have ceiling joists! Am but very grateful to FIL, with a tight budget not finding out stuff like that til a paid for survey would seriously affect what we could pay for another house.

AQ - I'm impressed with your round up. And I'm glad you feel better now.

EV - I don't know anyone who's had triple tests but I'll keep my fingers crossed for a good outcome.

I never had the triple test with either of my DC's since I knew I wouldn't abort so didn't really see any point. But I know people on my AN thread (DS's one) who had pretty high risk from the triple test who have gone on to have perfectly healthy DC's. A couple of them are fairly prolific (sp?) posters on here so if you do a search you should come up with something... will have a look as their threads will be relatively recent.... back soon..

Nice to see you chuckled to myself at your fb status earlier

EV - I can't find what I'm looking for quickly and am in the middle of baking brownies so can't be long but I'll look again for you later. Can you explain more on fb? I'm worried about you.

Am going to post on FB and will get the last 2 posts deleted.

castlesintheair · 18/04/2009 10:28

EV, have posted on FB.

Great time in Cornwall thanks AQ. You are not a numpty, though I know what you mean

Eli, we were on Trebarwith on Easter Sunday. Where were you?
I have hayfever now (have come back to a garden full of flowers/buds/blossom - beautiful but they set me off) so could well be the case with DD2. Can she take anything? I give DS a child Benadryl (or similar) when his gets bad.

Indith, sorry about the house, though TG for your FIL iykwim.
