Wotcha ladybee

KnitterInTheNW · 02/03/2009 21:29

Not patronising at all, Ellie.

Ladybee, it does bother me that he doesn't try, not because I want him to try but because I know that my years of not wanting to-ness have killed all confidence he had in trying, iyswim.

chipmonkey · 02/03/2009 22:00

Fuck me, Scorpio thinks she's fat?

Scorpio, you are gorgeous! And very, very slim!Of course you're feeling down right now, you'd have to be made of stone not to be!And I do think it must be soooo hard after a MC, after having all the hope and expectations of being pg, then to have it all dashed and everyone expecting you to carry on as normal.

But you are taking some positive steps and believe me, I know all about juggling; you can do this! You may have to be highly organised but your days will be full and that is half the battle.

I agree, if you are not enjoying your studies and don't like where they are leading you, it's best to just cut your losses and head in a direction that does appeal to you!

KnitterInTheNW · 03/03/2009 07:45

Ugh, Georga has been awake since 5:30. And Charlie (friend's baby) will be here in 15 minutes until 5 or 6 o'clock. And normally I can get them to nap at the same time but bet I won't today cos G was up so early. Humph.

KnitterInTheNW · 03/03/2009 07:57

Georga? Who's that?????

Soph73 · 03/03/2009 10:08

Morning all.

Scorpio - it's great to see that you've identified things that you actually want to do BUT please please remember that you are deffo NOT fat, ugly, etc. I know it's easy to say "look at yourself & see how wonderful you are" but not easy to actually do. I sometimes get low because of lack of friends. It's so much more difficult to sort that out here because there aren't any mother & toddler groups & definately no such things as baby gym, etc.

The Head has just shown round the external applicants. DH's interview is at 3pm - aaarrgghhh.

Back in a mo.

Thanks for your good luck vibes btw.

OP posts:
Soph73 · 03/03/2009 11:13

Sorry about that. Had loads of kids changing books and then it was my breaktime.

Knitter - wow, I didn't know that about diabetes & scorpio's right, why is it that nearly everything seems to affect mens bits but womens never get a look in?!!!

I've spoken to 2 of the applicants, they were in the staffroom while I was there. The Head kept giving me funny looks, I don't know why I was only putting arsenic into their coffee

Hi everyone.
Don't worry haven't fell off the face of the earth

Knitter re how long is it a nursing strike, I really can't say, I know of one woman on MN that it went for 6 days for though.

Scorpio, Sorry you're feeling shite, planning how to fix things is a positive step ahead, but try to remember that the feeling fat and frumpy etc is just a symptom of self-image as you're not satisfied right now, you're certainly not fat!

As for the job in a nursery!!OMG!! Should've known.
I've just been offered a job as a nursery practitioner!!LOL

EllieG · 03/03/2009 13:15

Yey for you! Are you going to take it?

soph - am doing a little good-luck dance for your DH

Mol got up at 5 today too! so spent an hour trying to settle her again as was still tired, and then finally gave up and she came in to bed with me, which was a bad thing cos now her naps are all buggered cos she slept til 7.30 and she was just starting to get used to NOT coming in our bed, and I go and cave cos I was tired. Rubbish mummy. Will have to start over tonight. Is a PITA though cos is always me that gets up early, never DH cos he goes to work. Have a feeling will still be me when we're both working though....

Soph73 · 03/03/2009 13:48

Thanks Ellie. Only another 2 hrs 15 mins until we find out .

Even though we both work I'm still the one that gets up first. However, I do prefer it that way because then I can take my time. I do not do well if I'm rushed in the morning.

VictorianSqualor · 03/03/2009 14:22

Only an hour soph.

YEs, Ellie, am going to take it, it's in the baby room at the nursery 6weeks-12 months :D I applied for an admin job there (always done admin) and they persuaded me to go for an interview for this job instead. Practically bit me hand off and gave me what hours I wanted so good all round.

KnitterInTheNW · 03/03/2009 14:32

We're on day 4 of boob refusal, I think that's it to be honest, thinking about it it coincided with him wanting to feed himself with his spoon, and think it's all part of his 'I'm a big boy now' thing. I think the thing I'm most sad about is the fact that I didn't know that the last feed was the last feed iyswim.

Soph73 · 03/03/2009 14:42

VS - don't, you've just given me butterflies The worst thing is the applicants keep wandering around and speaking to me. I should get a trophy for being so bloody nice today

Knitter - poor you. I know what you mean, you sort of want to commemorate the last feed don't you. Am I making any sense today?

Am going to check on DH. Back in a mo.

OP posts:
Soph73 · 03/03/2009 14:48

FFS they're running 40 mins late - aarrgghh!

OP posts:
KnitterInTheNW · 03/03/2009 14:58

Definately making sense Soph.

And how dare they be running late, we all have Things To Do and can't do them til we hear the news!

Soph73 · 03/03/2009 15:09

I know, some people are soooo inconsiderate!

OP posts:
EllieG · 03/03/2009 15:19

Oh no poor soph's DH!

Soph73 · 03/03/2009 15:24

Will this day never end????????????

OP posts:
Soph73 · 03/03/2009 15:26

I've just had one of the teachers over here asking me how it went. He was also horrified that the interviews hadn't started on time & that poor DH is now pacing his office like some caged animal!

OP posts:
EllieG · 03/03/2009 15:28

I will keep doing my little good-luck dance then....

Soph73 · 03/03/2009 16:10

I think he's just about to go in. So only an hour and 10 mins behind - even more aaarrggghhh!!!!!

OP posts:
Soph73 · 03/03/2009 16:12

At this rate none of us will know until tomorrow. Bloody, bloody, bloody, fecking hell.

So sorry I don't normally swear like that honest

OP posts:
Soph73 · 03/03/2009 16:23

Yep, he's definately in there.

OP posts:
KnitterInTheNW · 03/03/2009 16:23

I think swearing might actually be compulsary in situations like this
