No-one wants my Harry, then? >

KnitterInTheNW · 20/02/2009 17:30

George can marry Harry if you like.

chipmonkey · 20/02/2009 19:45

Oooh, Knitter, you are modern!

KnitterInTheNW · 20/02/2009 20:01

Actually if he carries on in life the way he is right now, he'd be more likely to marry a blue alessi wine bottle stopper thing. He loves it very much. one of these.

As long as he's happy...

KnitterInTheNW · 20/02/2009 21:39

The friend of mine whose ds I looked after a couple of weeks ago, has asked me to have him on Mondays and Tuesdays until his nursery place becomes available in May. I have a job, albeit a temporary one!

SalLikesCoffee · 20/02/2009 22:05

Hey everyone! It's been so long since I've typed anything here you're not even on my "threads I'm on" anymore!

Am exhausted and stressed and in serious need of a glass of wine... So no good company, will hit and run!

Welcome back, MHH. How awful about the camera.

Great news on the job, Knitter!

chipmonkey · 21/02/2009 00:05

Sorry, was that Sal? >

SalLikesCoffee · 21/02/2009 09:38

lol chipmonkey!

I took a sleeping tablet last night as couldn't sleep (which is normally a good time to take it, isn't it - not sure why I thought that warrants mentioning! ), and feels (and looks!!!) like death itself.

What is everyone up to today? Such a beautiful day outside, will have to do something in the outdoors.

TheyCallMePeachy · 21/02/2009 16:33

Well we spent today looking for a car- in acknowledgemnet that the MPV is a gas giuzzling sod we have bought a SMART car (VERY 2nd hand LOL) for any time it'sjust 2 people in the car- mainly for dh's massive commute to work;the difference is 100miles daily in an MPG to the same in a 70mpg

Ialso just booked us a trip next half term to an eco campsite complete with solar power fresh hen eggs to be found by the kids and not much mroe.Oh and we'relooking at a teepee pmsl (the fancy outwellone with berooms obv, tehre arelimits )

Knitter i see your Alessi stopper and raise you a solid steel mug from M&S LOL - he carries it everywhere!

bas has really let go on the old eating sivnce his illness, willt ake nothing off the spoon now which eally limits us. Won't youch fruit or veg again either so it's down to snacks and BM atm .

SalLikesCoffee · 21/02/2009 16:51

Congrats on the car, Peachy.

Give us links to the eco campsite - I know we most likely won't go just yet, but I keep "dream travelling" and in my head I'm all eco-campsite-y (in reality I'm a bit of a whimp, but you can always imagine!)

Bought R a inflatable car and a bag of balls today - he played with a friend's the other day and absolutely loved it! Will surprise him when he wakes up from his nap.

I have a really annoying cold and is planning on drugging myself up all weekend. Can't really in the week as it makes me drowsy, but perfectly happy to be a zombie all weekend!

TheyCallMePeachy · 21/02/2009 17:13

campsitewe did stop short of natural toilets holes though!

SalLikesCoffee · 21/02/2009 18:06

Ooh Peachy, that looks so lovely! I want to go now! Hmm....

SalLikesCoffee · 21/02/2009 20:01

Will go search now, but taking a chance with you all: Any slings (but not wrap types - I'm a bit rubbish with them, so something "pre-formed") out there that you'd recommend for older babies (say from 12kg onwards)? I need something for taking R to nursery and back - only really about 15 - 30 mins max travel, and buggy such a faff sometimes.

TheyCallMePeachy · 21/02/2009 20:15

ellaroo hipseat, I have one and it ids fabulous, made by mei Tei

TheyCallMePeachy · 21/02/2009 20:17

here

SalLikesCoffee · 21/02/2009 21:10

Thanks Peachy. Just to double check - is it the Ellaroo Mei-Hip Baby Carrier? I've got that Hippychick Hipseat as well, but want something else that I know he's secure in without my arms having to hold him all the time. Btw, love the Hipseat for around the house - my back's rubbish and it makes such a difference!

TheyCallMePeachy · 21/02/2009 23:48

It;sthe hipi've got but unlike the hipseat you can let go sometimes LOL. I woried too much about the hipseat to get one.

chipmonkey · 21/02/2009 23:48

Btw Peachy, do you still use cloth nappies?

TheyCallMePeachy · 21/02/2009 23:50

Um,we gave uop fater the nasty washing amchine with many dirty nappies leakage incident

Why, you looking at some? they are good, its the smell in my memory ic ant shift

chipmonkey · 22/02/2009 00:23

No, I have used cloth since ds3 was born and have set up a cloth nappy group for Ireland on facebook because we didn't have one so am an enthusiast! And ds2 wet the bed for a long time so compared to that, the smells weren't too bad!

ScorpiowithabigS · 22/02/2009 09:02
