I know what you all mean about the babies getting older - it does seem sad, and I'm not even that keen on babies . But although A is 9mo now, she is still so baby-ish - still not moving at all, nothing remotely like a word. Just a gorgeous, laughing baby - who I can still leave on the changing table above the cot. At the moment, it's the best of both worlds - and will be until I start to worry about her total refusal to grow up!

chipmonkey · 17/02/2009 21:11

Harry fell out of the bed yesterday morning! So I guess I can't leave him on the changer any more. Poor little love has a bruise on his forehead.

LadyBee · 17/02/2009 22:40

oof, Babybee is constantly trying to fling himself off the bed, off the changer, off the couch. His latest thing is pushing chairs around the dining room and the buggy around the hall, it moves faster than he does sometimes so he's come down fairly quickly. I do wonder sometimes whether I'd be so casual about his tumbles if he was a girl - would I be more 'careful' of her? hmmm...
Am thinking of trying to find one of those v-tech walker things on ebay.
I'm off tomorrow, hoorah! busy day, I have to:

  • try to find a feeder for our cat for the weekend while we're away.
  • tidy up a bit before some friends come round to drop their car.
  • meet a friend for lunch
  • be home in time to collect grocery delivery
  • try to book a haircut (eek!)
  • arrange car insurance

Probably should be tidying now..

Hi everyone,
TSC - I hope it wasn't you . I wouldn't of minded if she'd kicked the gate so that the latch that only required kicking had shut, or looked round to see if anyone else was nearby to shut it for her .
Went to Uncle's funeral yesterday. Very and I found myself crying lots. I never used to be like that before LO arrived. I didn't even cry too much over my uncle but ended up shedding a tear for my MC's (but to be fair, I probably never cried enough at the time).
Scorpio - glad you're back and feeling more positive. It's a horrible time.
Ellie - sorry to hear Mol is ill and hope she starts feeling better very soon.
I had a shock yesterday when buying L more clothes. Was looking for 12mths + (being tight and didn't want to buy 9mths when she's nearly 10mths!) and when I couldn't find any, I realised I should be looking for 1 year (duh - shock!! horror!! - my LO can't be 1 soon!). So I know where you're all coming from.

TheShipsCat · 18/02/2009 10:05

Bumpkin - I'm sure it wasn't me! And I do try to kick the gate shut...Hopefully I shall be a more responsible member of the community when dd1 decides to stop acting like dd2 and needing to be carried all the time!

CM - dd2 did fall off the changing table once - with a little help from dd1 who pulled her - and I turned round to see her bouncing on her head in the cot But she just grinned and was fine.

ScorpiowithabigS · 18/02/2009 10:07

Mimi has a bruise on her head too with a little lump! She fell over and banged her head (again!).

Soph73 · 18/02/2009 11:48

I'm sooooo ill & it feels like my head's going to explode any minute need serious mummying Had the day off yesterday because DS1 was ill, it's never ending and Sam's got this stupid hearing test appointment at the hospital tomorrow which I'm dreading ..... positive attitude has gone right down the drain.

Oh yeah, afternoon all Scorpio - you did make me smile though at the thought of coming home to an all-pink house

I'd love to do urs in a hint of inkishness if we ever owned it- next door is cream and there'sa bue one (bluebellcottage) down the road so would be OK I think,as long as subtle.

Poor Bas really illtoday- nasty chest. Took him to Drs and got rpescription but Chemist couldnt give as meds not suitable for under 2 year olds! Boosts my confidence in a GP I wasnt comfy with anyway. Still, he seems to be a it happier now (at 5am I had called d home thinking i'd be calling 999).

Scorpio hope you dont mind but there was a peppa pig in Asda being sold in aid of Tommy's baby charity, so we bought thinking of you and your family. BAs is carrying it about now.

ScorpiowithabigS · 18/02/2009 16:25
