ALBS you've said you are sorry and that it was clearly not true, a miscommunication. Unless this is the Queen, you're done. Lady obviously has a cob up her . You are married to a man of the Church forgoodnesssakes. She must have a screw loose iykwim.

Or how about suggesting you and she go for a coffee - alone? Then you can feel free to blub and cry and let her know just how upset you are by the whole scenario. Never be afraid to show your feelings (says she, brazenly wearing emotions on sleeves ) - she might just see how wrong she is?

oopsacoconut · 29/01/2009 21:20

That was supposed to be {{HUGS}} ALBS - but PF you can have some too.

Actually {{HUGS}} for everyone!

CaptainCaveman · 29/01/2009 21:21

Aww thanks Oops, {{{oops}}} here, have some back

alittlebitshy · 29/01/2009 21:22

I thought she was a friend and was very supportive when I was pregnant with ds.

But now I feel that she is always going to assume I am something I am not so I guess I won't be comfy..

Am more worried that she has mentioned to other ppl (v small class) and that I'm now known as uber bitch.

Was already stressed that dd doesn;t get friends round v often cos i find it hard (transpor plus I worry she'll kick off and be bossy/tantrum-y). Now... now... don't know.

am soundsing pathetic aren't I sorry.

Off to cry on my own. Know it isn't worth it but I think this has triggered a long built up need to cry

oopsacoconut · 29/01/2009 21:22

Dinner tonight consisted of apeanut butter and chocolate sprinkles sandwich, Waffles and Ice cream followed by a large cup of decaf. Sorry TS

alittlebitshy · 29/01/2009 21:24

yum - oops.

meant to say lots of hugs to oops too

Steaknife · 29/01/2009 21:25

Just popping in to give Albs a ((hug))
Have a good cry and let it all out. Tomorrow do something nice for you, even if it is just buying your fave biccies for tea.

No advice re school gate madams.

I'm done in. Mum called at crucial putting Izzy down moment, it wasn't even something nice, missed a payment on a cc and have been charged - bums, finances in a pickle at the moment. Then Iz had the most horrendous farty poos - really smelt of cabbage - poor little mite was very relieved afterwards. Now she is asleep but it took us nearly two hours and two nappy changes to get there.

Night all.

Buckets · 29/01/2009 21:29

Albs that must feel horrid for you. Why not text her back and say there's clearly been a big mix up here and can we start again? That way you're not apologising but she gets a chance to think twice about reliability of evidence from twinnies' mum. Give her a big goofy smile and roll your eyes innocent-puppy-style when you see her.

Miamla · 29/01/2009 21:30

albs, i have no wise words but if you want some moral support in the morning, i'll happily do the school run with you. seriously, just text me if you want me to

on a lighter note... i am that your DH saw me the other morning!!!!! i only had a towel wrapped round me!!!! thought i was completely hidden behind the door!!!! oops!

talking of oops my DS had rocket today as well! he really liked it!

dinner's ready

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 29/01/2009 21:33

albs please don't be upset, from the brief chat we had you come across as a lovely warm person. I am sure other mum's at the school gate will not think bad of you.

cc are you kidding?? I feel old.

sazzles how did you cock up tea??

popping in to say hello, have not had the best of days between sorting mum's clothes, my dad grinding me down and farm envy (don't ask)

its late, I'm tired and Grey's anatomy is on and without laptop am afraid McDreamy wins

hope you're all well

PetitFilou1 · 29/01/2009 21:44

albs You are creating scenarios in your head that may or may not have basis in reality. Let yourself be upset and then when you are calm again you need to find a way to talk to this woman and sort things out. Even if you do cry at her I think you should try talking to her - she probably hasn't the faintest idea that she's upset you this much and would probably be mortified to find she had. And if she isn't, then she isn't worth knowing.

and sazzles I am a novice at the school gate etiquette stuff but I have learnt fast already! And albs I think the private school thing is a red herring - there is just as much politics here in our bog standard village primary......

oopsacoconut · 29/01/2009 21:45

{{DIZZY HUGS}} Hope tomorrow is better.

alittlebitshy · 29/01/2009 21:45

dizzy farm envy sounds FAR more expensive than my buggy envy.

PetitFilou1 · 29/01/2009 21:48

sazzles of the pilates session today. I am having to miss my tomorrow for the gas man. I'm not allowed to do sit ups yet as apparently this makes diastasis rectus (or whatever it is called) worse - aargh

and albs you can also be a bit manipulative by saying to another mum 'x's mum is unhappy with me but there has been a complete misunderstanding as this is actually what happened and I am really sad she thinks that' and wait for the jungle telegraph to do its thing without even having to speak to her (cunning emoticon)

Sorry albs that is the oldest child in me rearing its head - I can be a bit bossy

Right I'm off to bed. See you all tomorrow....

PetitFilou1 · 29/01/2009 21:52

vg Yes I'm good aren't I

Buckets · 29/01/2009 21:52

Yes, that is clearly what Twinnymum did and you got the bum deal. Let X's mum get the full realisation of what Chinese Whispers can do!
